Dalrus, Balmora

"Well it is a pleasure to meet you Dlefran. Very well lets go, but lets be careful i heard that orcs are pouring out of the shrines and heading somewhere towards the southern coast. And goblin chieftains have lead many goblins to the same place. Also rogues murderors and thieves have been congregating there too. Something big is happening. It's a good thing i brough 250 men from caldera. Now lets head out" ended Dalrus

Isaarin Sithiln
Hall of Justice

Before Endris lunged Isaarin gave a demanding look at Ravvin, and at his guard who was still on his feet. His guard, satisifed that his fellow was going to survive, ran in to try and help Isaarin. He was slightly confused, and took a step back when Isaarin simply slumped over unconsciously. He noticed the assassin was striking with the reverse end. A little puzzled, he decided the best way to go was just drop into a defensive stance and try and push his way in front of Isaarin so he could get him out of there.

Hlaalu Recruiting Stand

"Judili, Isaarin is late, do you know what his previous engagement was before meeting me here?" Wred asked.

"No, but I bet Asthul knows, I'll go get him," said Judili, who sped off for Isaarin's manor. Moments later he came back. "He was meeting with Megil in the Hall of Justice. He brought two guards with him."

"Something about this doesn't feel right. Get a couple servants to check on the Council chamber and send down Royin to fill my post, I'm going to go check on him."

"You sure sir? He's only a half hour late. The meeting could have simply drawn on."

"No, knowing Megil either Isaarin got his way right away or he stomped out in anger by now. Megil doesn't beat around the bush," said Wred as he grabbed his sword from the side of his desk and took his helmet from the post where it rested.

Endris -- HOJ

Endris, now satisfied, withdrew from his offensive stance and shot a threatening glare at Isaarin's guard who had come to help him. Then he sat down at the table and took another drink of brandy to calm his nerves.

"So, what else is new?" he asked as if nothing had happened.

"good to see that's been settled, are there any other issues that wish to be discussed? If not I believe we are done here,"

Megil said unphased by the duel. besides it had given him insight into each of the men before him, especially about Endris and his fighting style. The type of information that could prove useful, and critical at a later day.

Raavin glanced at Isaarin's guard, then Isaarin himself, then to Endris and Megil. He sighed, and relaxed, but reamined standing, sword held limply in his hand. "I believe that is all."

Wred Halius
New Vivec

Wred started walking, but it wasn't long before he grew impatient and began to run. Something was terribly wrong. He held his blade out of its sheath, wearing, in on hand. His bright green cape with the Hlaalu insignia flailed behind him.

He approached the Hall of Justice and slowed to a walk. He asked an ordinator if he had seen Isaarin leave, to which the ordinator said no, they were still in Council. Wred got directions to the room where they were meeting and walked briskly toward it. He entered the room with this sword out. He saw Endris, Megil, and Ravvin sitting and standing calmly, talking, while one of Isaarin's guards looked panic stricken and the other lay on the floor. Isaarin himself was slumped on the ground.

"Conspiracy..." he immediatly thought aloud. No matter if they were plotting to kill his boss, then they would have to meet their demise. Wred drew his foot back and rose his blade in a fighting stance.

"Wred!" yelled Isaarin's standing guard in relief.

OOC: they were in megil's ofice %!)

Megil-HOJ

Megil turned on his heels as the door slammed open, he examined the intruder, he then glanced back at Isaarin as the guard said that name, the one of the attacker of the legions, Megil let out a small smile,

"So then we meet again Wred, tell me why are you intruding on this private meeting?"

(OOC: Yeah well isaarin ever said Wred, it was the guard, Isaarin is unconscious and as far as Wred knows he's dead, so double mess up on you %!)

Wred Halius
Hall of Justice

Again? Wred thought. He must have meant the meeting not too long ago where Wred spoke out and caused Isaarin to storm off.

"Private meeting? More like conspired killing. Don't you dare presume you're in a position to ask questions when my boss lays in the corner. This is beyond explanation. This meeting was obviously conspired as a trap. You hated Isaarin, he was your biggest threat wasn't he? Your biggest threat to stop your tyranny. That's the way it looks. That's they way this whole scene looks to me so instead of asking me questions why don't you explain yourself!" Wred aimed his stance between Megil, Endris and Ravvin, not quite sure which one might attack first.

Megil-HOJ

"How dare you accuse me of such a thing. If this were a plotted assasination then we would ahve planned the meeting, but now it was YOUR leader that wished to hold council with me and the others. What you see before you is the results of a perfectly legal duel. Your boss accused Endris of the morag tong of siding with Telvanni and plotting against the other houses. For such slander it was within Endris's legal right to challenge the man to a duel. The guards despite knowing the law decided to intercede and one was slain in the process. I allowed the duel to carry through, so long as neither of the men were killed. Now Isaarin will think twice before slanderizing someone else. So lower your sword and calm your temper, before you do something else you will regret."

"Oh strider-dung Isaarin is no fighter he would never agree to a duel. A duel must be agreed by both parties to continue. Tell me, Akin, did Isaarin ever allow for a duel?" Wred asked the guard.

"No way, not at all, and the scars on Teljin are proof enough he meant to kill Isaarin."

Isaarin stood up, "In fact, this does conclude our meeting. Thank you Wred but your presence was not necessary.

"Ravvin, I'm afraid this also concludes our working together. Now, my agents have triple confirmed this alliance between the Morag Tong and Telvanni, but seeing as how agents do not count as eye-witnesses this is not legally evidence of an alliance, so this would not stand in court. There was, however, no legal protection for Endris to assult me so he will be going on trial for one count of attempted murder and one of assault."

Isaarin brushed himself off and headed for the door. "Oh, and one last thing, Megil. This meeting has proved that agents do not count as legal evidence, therefore you have absolutely no proof the attacker of Imperials came from my House. You have no name, no nothing. You have np case, Good day."

Endris--HOJ

"Just try to get me into a court, you cowardly honoured user!" Endris yelled after Isaarin as he left. He then propped his legs up on the table, leaned back in the chair and took another sip of Brandy; purposefully overstaying his welcome in Megil's office.

Megil-HOJ

Megil placed himself between the others and the doors, shutting them and locking them,

"And that Isaarin is were you are wrong, for ultimetaly judgement lies in the hands of the one in charge, Now if you do not mind, not that it mattered if you did, Wred will be apprehended as a suspect of several counts of murder, and for attempted assasination fo a leader."

as he said this two sylphs had slipped quietly int the room, looking at the backs of the men, they were yet to be aware of their presence.

"Should he be found innocent he will be released. On the otherhand should he be found guilty, he will be prosecuted and punished."

"you see Isaarin, you are within my city, therefore you fall under my jurisdiction, failure to comply will be viewed as subversion,"

Falx Albarnias & Raxle O'Conner
New Vivec Inn

"Well, well.. The Imperial Underground.." Falx's thoughts wondered while he looked over the de-coded map, "This is a complete report on almost every imperial that has escaped Vvardenfell." His fingers ran over the paper, smoothing out several ripples. "I'll have to review this later. Sel, it has brought joy to me for seeing you in such a time, I trust that you will bring Celia with you next time." Falx gave a smug smile, he wasn't as dense has believed, "Good day my friend."

"Actions need be taken, Vvardenfell is loosing many legionnaires both to this damn house war, and the smugglers. I need to consolidate my forces, and to spread the good word. Yes.. Now to appoint some one to Megil's office.." Now Falx was standing in the open floor, casually scanning around for a familiar face. He didn't know many of the soldiers that had already applied for the New Legion, and therefor knew not who was most qualified. So, he did the next best thing.

"Hey, you there! Come here."

Raxle looked around for a second, and then realized that he, Falx Albarnias, Leader of the Legion, called for him, "Uh.. Yes sir!?" Raxle stood a rather rigid stance, it was obvious that the time in the wilds had broken his training a bit.

Falx looked over the man, satisfied with what he saw he opened up with a few questions, "Name? Rank?"

"Raxle O'Conner, 3rd Spearman of the Line."

"What outpost were you apart of?"

"Gnisis sir, until it was overun. We hid in the hills sir."

"So you abandoned your position soldier? Not very good credintiols(SP).."

"Sir, if you please, we were hamster cave out-numbered." Raxle froze for a second, and realized that he slipped up, "U.h..Sorry sir."

Falx erupted in a fit of laughter, "Good, good! One to lighten the mood, please, at ease." He pulled out a peice of parchment, and handed it to Raxle, "Soldier, you've been promoted. Consider it a field promotion. I put the papers in later, but now you also been given a new position."

"Sir?" To much information streamed into Raxles mind, "Sir.. am I qualified for this?" He stated while looking over the paper, "It says that I'll be promoted to Lt., and that I'll be serving in the Hall of Justice?"

"You will, if Megil aproves you. Now, move along.. Lt. O'Conner."

Isaarin Sithiln
Hall of Justice

"That is where your wrong, Megil," Isaarin smiled wryly. "You need to present legal evidence in order to arrest anyone, if your mutants do decide to take my assistant without providing a written analysis of evidence that makes him a suspect, then he doesn't have to go anywhere.

"As the law goes, if, I state again, if your agents which obviously gave you this information count as evidence that he can be taken to custody as a suspect then mine prove that I have committed no such slander. Either way Megil, taking Wred away at this point would spell disaster. You may be popular now but taking Wred simply because your are in charge is an act of tyranny and the people will easily see it that way. Megil, politically Endris is already going to sink for this, and if you take Wred, you'll join him. You think you have the power because you hold the position of being in charge but the people love a good tyrant and if you give them one then you'll find your influence shrink rather rapidly. Now, unless you can provide legal evidence that lands Wred as suspect we will be leaving.

"Tell me, Megil, put aside from the fact that the source of the name Wred would hold no standing in court, do you even have a last name?"

Wred recognized Megil, but he knew Megil would not recognize him, he had a completely different face on when they encountered each other in prison.

That was why the voice told him not to speak! Wred realized. Not only would his face be different but Megil would not be able to recognize his voice.

"Furthmore, Megil," said Isaarin, "While your sylphs are here, if you fail to comply to bring the criminal known as Endris to justice, then don't think that your negligence won't get out to public. You want a revolution in this city? I guarantee you take Wred and leave Endris, no revolution will even come from House Hlaalu but from the citizens themselves. Everybody loves a good tyrant they can hate."

Megil-HOJ

Megil smirked,

"So it would seem that now all the politeness and conflagarations of politics can be stripped away. Tell me Isaarin who is head of this city's jsutice system. I am. Tell me Isaarin, I have eyes and ears everywhere. Since when do they not count as evidence? Witnesses are always counted as evidence, Especially those who saw it all.

In regards to Endris, you accused him of a most atrocious intent with no evidence, that IS slander and as such I see Endris's agression to be acceptable, I even said so aloud, and laid the rules down. in the end no one apart from that ignorant and foolish guard who chose to violate the sanctions of the duel chose to get involved, was injured. But seeing as teh duel was on perfectly legal grounds he Endris cannot be prosecuted, had he slain you it would be a different story, but his final blow was with the flat of his blade. You see Isaarin you never spoke an objection to the duel, in the eyes of the law then you agreed, since you did not voice your objection. Your case ends there.

You reall underestimate my power Isaarin, that which I am doing is perfectly within my legal rights, I can show you the documents if you wish, spreading rumors once you leae will simply add another case of slander to your record. Do not argue with me over the system which I helped write."

He told the sylphs, "aprehend this man for he is a suspects in the murders of legion soldiers and in the attempted murder of Falx Albarnius. should he be found innocent he will be released and appropriately recompensed. Otherwise judgement will be passed on him,"

The Silhouette, New Vivec

The silhoutte stealthily moved in and out of the cantons of vivec. He was quite accustomed to sneaking in and out of buildings, because as of now he was wanted in all redoran lands. For the slaughter of many of their guards. In hlaalu lands for his annihilation of a unit of soldiers. And especially with new vivec, for his invasion, destruction of a canton, and feud with megil vivec's leader. He was going to attempt to kill vivec once again. He hadn't liked megil before, but now it was personal for his loss at the battle of ebonheart.

The Silhoutte was near the Hall of Justice there was his prize.

Isaarin Sithiln
Hall of Justice

"Wouldn't we be living in a perfect world if it just bent to your sense of justice no matter what? But it doesn't Just because your in charge does not mean you are allowed to step out of the laws of justice and simply arrest who you choose.

"If you try to state the duel was legal then fine, don't arrest Endris, and watch as your reputation is torn to shreds. I never knew it was a duel. I had no hamster cave clue it was a duel. I never accepted a challenge. It was assault and attempted murder! Nothing more than that. You may disagree but to push your opinion through justice is tyranny. If you try to allow Endris to go free than I can freely call you a tyrant, and that will not be slander. Not only that, but I am positive the people will agree with me.

"And seeing as how you demand that agents count as evidence, that you can bypass the paperwork and simply throw whoever you choose in prison, then I never comitted slander either.

"Let me state the law to you (based upon rules of egagement in regards to duels when they were legal).

"I have to accept the duel. You never said it was a duel, so what could I object to? Nothing. Even so, read the documents more carefully, for a duel to take place I must accept it in writing or verbally. Just because someone never said, 'don't beat me' doesn't mean you're allowed to beat them.

"Furthermore, nothing I said was slander. If your agents count as evidence then so do mine, or will that be another act of tyranny? I can bring you the evidence that I committed no slander. You, however, cannot, as there is no evidence against Wred. I know this because he has an alibi."

Wred turned his blade to meet the sylphs. If you are apprehended you will be found innocent, so don't try to resist, the voice told him. Isaarin can destroy Megil's reputation the moment his sylph's lay their hands on you, so don't worry, there is a very small liklihood you'll even see a trial. Wred nodded, and rested his blade.
