I've borrowed some of my friends' instructional dvds, and they never help. the guys on em always just show off, then slow it down slightly and say, "Got it? I hope this helps!" then continue with more showing off.
EDIT: Konrad, are you playing while listening to the actual song? Because, some of it doesn't seem to match up.  Or maybe the audio is playing too far ahead/behind the video. Nice fingering work, Konradude! That was really cool for just making it up as you went along. I'm no guitarist, but I've been around it alot. One thing I noticed about that guy that Fuzzy linked to ... was that when he does the "change up" - is that what it's called? - anyway, when he is changing from one rhythym to another or going from fast, high-pitched to the lower bass sounds - he really lets the strings whiine, before he goes into the next segment.
It really makes for a nice pause & it might slightly give his fingers a chance to rest. lol You've got some good things going on there, some spacing like that might make it even better. But don't listen to me, I'm just an amateur listener. No guitarist in any of our bands could come close to that guy. The way he's sitting there in front of that bright light from the window, anonymous in the hat ... made me feel like he was some little angel of the dawn. God that sounded great. Imagine waking up in Heavn to that every morning! PS-I kept looking for your chin, because in the Real Photos thread you said you'd never send in your pic but your chin shows in your video. I just think that you look like your Siggy. -------------------- |

'Speak' by Queensryche.
Excellent prog metal band. Anyway, the song intro is pretty simple, though it doesn't really sound like it is. And then it goes into this main riff that sounds simple and isn't... such a weird song. I'm thinking of installing a tremolo on my guitar. My hardtail just isn't as versatile.
Anyway, I've recently learned the song Speak by Queensryche, and have almost mastered the solo. Just have to get it up to tempo and I'll be in business.  -------------------- "Its when murder is justice that martyrs are made"
