QUOTE(Joeri @ Feb 13 2006, 06:36 PM) a battlemage Redguard? Redguard's are one of the worst races to choose when you want to be a mage, right? QUOTE(Bofra @ Feb 13 2006, 07:20 PM) Bah, there's nothing to stop me from being a Wood-Elf Barbarian! It's just going to get a bit more difficult (Ok, I admit, it was a while ago I played morrowind, I'm getting rusty...) Yeah, I used to pick the exact opposite race to make it a lot more of a challenge. But now they've ironed out any inbalance so even experienced Morrowind players wont smash-n-grab as clutter has a value of 0, and Acrobatics doesn't level as fast for pointless jumps and Athletics not as fast for random sprints, so no one will Run-n-Jump. They put a lot of time into making it so that people will play it as if they were a resident of Cyrodiil rather than someone who is actually superior to everyone else in no time at all... Now you need to work for that!

QUOTE(xycolian @ Mar 12 2006, 05:43 AM) I think that dunmer are more of a "rounded" race. What i mean by that is that they have more bonuses in a number of skills than the argonians have Argonian resist poisons and run/swim fast too Being Argonian mage is fun, even if you'll have alittle too low magic point You can just flee and shot arrows anyway

As soon as I always play as Mage my race will be Breton defenetly. Male af course. By the way I have a question: Gender of my character will have any differences in playgame or not?

Bretonian. Wait, wrong game, Breton. Being a high Elf is tempting, but that weakness to destructive magic is worrysome.

Milanius, the ever travelling soul-torn drunken hero, was (and will always be) half Breton, half Nord... but, of course, racial treits are that of a Breton, if we exclude his height, bad temper, cursing and, of course, his devotion to cheap liquors

I had two or three ideas of what to be before I got my game. By the time I'd left the dungeon I was truly bewildered by what I'd picked. But now I've come to love my character. Khajiit, under the sign of the warrior, magic as a focus, major skills blunt, heavy armor, destruction, alchemy, sneak, marksman, conjuration. This is my first elder scrolls game playing with maces. I look forward to becoming a blunt master.

QUOTE(MarkII @ Mar 25 2006, 08:16 PM) i went for a nord, majoring in strength and agility and minoring in armourer, heavy armour, blade, block, marksman, sneak and security. ive never been that interested in magic, but i can understand belting someone with a sword. doing this kind of split character appeals to me though, because i can be a knight/fighter while maintaining sneaky theif sensiblilties. it also means that ill be able to carry a hell of a lot of looted goods around with me if i want to go on a stealing rampage I use battlemage because I can summon, heal and attack. But I also try to get thief skills leveled. That sounds pretty original.
