Town Call to Arms, ! Options

Having everyone in a town rally around you, or turn against you, is more the sort of thing that would happen as part of a quest. The individual NPCs decide how they feel about you and how they'll treat you on their own, not just because of the town they happen to be in. But we do have quests where, for example, you have to go around and try to muster soldiers from each town to come and fight with you in a big battle, and if you've managed to get soldiers in that town mad at you, they simply won't come.

Calling the population of Imperial City into a war sounds fun...
If you're a member of the Mages and Fighters guilds, I'm guessing they're gonna fight for you.

Wow! I've missed that feature all together! That's really cool, to be able to stir up people and practically be a part of a big town vs town battle is amazing, I really look forward to that . And yeah, the guilds should be of some use in those battles..

It would be great if that was a perk from the Fighter's Guild.
Mages guild has Enchanting, Fighters guild could have a Call to Arms!
It'd be great to invade one town using another!

Or think of a guild vs guild war! Imagine 30 battle-ready mages on a plain approaching 30 rushing, fully armored fighters in full glory... That's a fight .

Would be amazing, but it's doubtful as a quest, as they don't want to lock off the Mages Guild to you by kind of attacking them. Lol.
It'd be quite cool if no soldiers followed you but you fought off 30 men alone, Dynasty Warriors style. In real life, you'd be considered a legend.

That's true, they want all doors open, so I'll guess that has too be done by a modder. Or it could be another faction not joinable by the player that has declared war against you and the fighters guild (or mages guild). I'm really curious on how many NPC:s the game can handle in battle at the same time, would really like to see a mod made were these epic battles could take place. We know that at least 15 NPC:s can be seen fighting at the same time (from the official trailer) so I wonder how far that figure goes...

Well if the mod make it so you HAVE to rally some people and you want to do it yourslef you can always turn on your men... nobody would know what happened

The trailer shows a large number of Imperial troops running up the hill... and I'm presuming there are around the same number of enemies... so 12 - 20 a side in "Big" battles, I guess... But I wouldn't mind if it was 4 v 4, cos it's a lot of AI to handle!

That video made it seem like there were a lot more guys coming than there were. The battle will be pretty spread out so the computer doesn't have to render such harsh combat, and I bet the enemy will strike different places at different times, and come in waves, too.

Can you imagine if you did that fought about 7 of them thought you were winning only to turn around and find out you've been flanked on all sides your surrounded by daedra you are fully armored and waiting for you to attempt to run?
