(wow this is my 1000 post! jeez I must be.sp*******, ohmy.gif )[/quote]The best. Yeah right? Dont you know what happens after uranium is useless and can no longer be used for energy. Its almost as bad as coal for our environment what do you think we have area 51 for to store out old radioactive elements for thousands of years till theyre harmless

Why of course <I know what happens to Uranium!!! I WORK in a NPP, for christs sake! biggrin.gif

And i am not sure I totally approve of your handling of radioactive waste
But one thing I know of and that´s how WE handle it and I consider that pretty safe, at least we have control, we know where it is and how much we have! And how we´re gonna store it in the loooong future

In fact the used fuel-elements from all NPPs in Sweden are stored in an intermediate storage in a sort of "cave"right under where I sit just now, and to me they´re quite harmless lying there in huge pools under a hell of a lot of water. wink.gif

Water is a very effective shielding for Gamma-radiation...aside with lead of course. :goodjob:

well I do understand that people are scared! Some of us swedes are afraid as well! But I´ve been sitting on top of those elements for almost 10 years so.....

There are routines and safety-precautions, very strong ones so really I´m not that worried. But of course you have to know what you´re doing.

I don't eat a lot of breakfast. I'm never hungry untill about noon. I have to cycle some miles to school and back and sometimes I don't eat until I get back. Never had a problem with it though. I just eat a lot when I get home.
