I am not sure if this was triggered by a quest, conversation, level, or what but I went south of Chorrol to something that looked like a rock giving me the finger, I turned left at that rock, going east, turned a bit south more and on a south facing tree there was a slim door that I opened and inside it was a dungeon that was HUGE, there is no way it fit in a tree....But irregardless, I go through here and there are some various creatures, some Atronaught's(sp?) and draedra(sp?) and some bears and other critter's.
At the end of the third pathway I find there is a huge cavern and there is TONS of treasure chests around the walls and there is loot just sitting there so I go into the room to loot it and *BANG*!!! I died.....WTF?!?!? Well, I rebooted and luckily I had saved my game resently, I get to that same point but I cast some stealthy stuffs and fortify my health, endurance, and ready a heal spell. I thought maybe I had hit an uber trap, instead as I rounded the door...there was a green and purple, with blue underbellied dragon....it was SOOOOO beautiful.....I sat there and watched it in stealth mode until my chameleon and invisibility wore off, then it detected me, cast invisibility itself and killed me in two hits......take it into mind that I have the difficulty meter all the way to the right.....so I go there again, walk up to it with the highest damage weapon I have....(I turned the difficulty all the way back down) and I hit it with the 6x bonus.......it almost died...next hit it was gone, keep in mind also that instead of buffing my endurance this time I buffed my strength and blade skill.
The loot was AWESOME, the dragon was FREKIN' SWEET!! you guys have to check it out for yourself, sorry I didn't get any pics or video of it, my computer is having major lag as it is when I am just running OB, even taking a pic would probably cause the system to crash...or at least the game.
Happy huntings, if you need any help just post the question up here, I will be glad to help, although I prolly won't have time to get on until like saturday....spent over 100 hours last week on college campus or doing studies......it SUX!! add that into my OB time and I pulled like three all nighters.

"Hey ladies..." "ARRRGH! A DRAGON! RUN!" "Darn! Enough with the looks already, you shallow people! You're as bad as those people in 'mask'! What about inner beauty! *sigh*...why can't I pick up the chicks?"

QUOTE(Ibis @ Apr 29 2006, 08:30 AM) But it is said that the DragonPeople ate all of the humanoid type Akavarians. Not much more there then but myth. I think it was the vampire-snake folk that ate all the Akaviri humans not the dragons, I think all of the dragons died or moved to Tamriel, except for that Tiger dragon guy, or something like that.

QUOTE(Olav @ May 2 2006, 02:41 AM) Ah, so then perhaps it was Akatosh the original poster met? No. Akatosh appears only once in the game. He's not some random encounter in your local dungeon. Seriously, the first post is nothing but a belated April fool's joke.

On the topic of lore, dragons are extremely rare in Tamrial, they were common in Morrowind until the skylamps (cliffracers) drove them out and so most moved to Cyrodiil but they are extremely rare there and avoid contact, all are protected by the empire and there may be one underneath the imperial palace through secret tunnels, however there is none in the game, possible reasons for this: They smell you coming and avoid you, they adopt different forms for protection, they are in locations hidden and protected so well you can't find them (possibly in places levitation is required to reach), and there is one last reason which I believe best explains it all, it was the reason used to explain why there are no dragons in Morrowind, even though it is perfectly acceptable to believe skylamps drove them out, however it is a reason which can be used for Cyrodiil as well... "Dragons? Oh, they're everywhere! You must fly very high to see most of them, though. The ones nearer the ground are very hard to see, being invisible." they are there, your just not flying high enough, which is why M'Aiq saw one, Khajiit are natural flyers.
Also the dragon people are different from dragons, they are semi humanoid.

Good old M'Aiq, stand up guy. Anyways I really think that this thread has accomplished its goal and has been burnt out since April fools is long gone now. Probably time for a close soon since its mostly off topic chit-chat.
