Me too, I did not realise.
Not really much to say apart from - 19 years of age, Scottish, Elder Scrolls fan ummmm
thats it....
im just your bog standard bloke.
Oh, the name!
The name is just a nickname from my online game name 'Raptor' (sorta rhymes) which I made up when I was like 12. I used to play the Medal of Honour expansion Spearhead, ppl in the community called me 'Rappy' and 'Rapp0ng' so I just decided to use that for 'ere.

Greetings. Another Norwegian here, and I'm not sure I want to reveal my age. Well... ok I'm 36... Can't help it, but I can't kick the habit of gaming. Morrowind was the first RPG I tried, and I got completely hooked. Been waiting for Oblivion for a long time. Been lurking here from time to time after I saw the link on another forum. Just received an email from USPS that the game was underway, and went here to get it confirmed from others. Just upgraded my PC, so I'm all set for Oblivion: [brag] ASUS A8R32-MVP DELUXE AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2.2 Ghz OCZ 2048MB Dual Channel Platinum Edition RAM WD Raptor X 150GB SATA 16MB 10000RPM Radeon X1900XTX 512MB PCIe 16x SB Audigy 2 ZS Lian Li Miditower PC6070BSCAND w/Hiper R580W PSU Win XP Pro SP2 w/MS dual-core CPU hotfix [/brag]

Hail! I'm Duncan Frost In morrowind I was a large axe-wielding nord (because i got crushed otherwise ) but when i get oblivion i shall create one of each (Warrior/ Mage /Thief) like this! Heh heh heh. [brag] I HAVE IT PREORDERED! HAHAHHAHA! [/brag] I'm not sure whether I can run Oblivion, but according to PCGamer if your computer can run Bloodmoon, it can run this so i'm all set. I think that's all. Oh yes, one final thing... when Oblivion comes out, will you have to rename the site? I will hibernate until Oblivion. I'm Daron. I prefer stealth games over rpgs but Oblivion's system looks promising. I like watching the seasons change. That said I'm hoping someone will mod seasons into the game. Oh, and my computer is worthless.

Hello all, I just want to say :GASP, comes up for air: I was looking for an Oblivion forum that was a lot less dramatic and a lot more useful than the Bethesda forums. I hope this is the forum I have been looking for, but time will tell.\ My first RPG experience was on the old Commodore 64. I can't remember the name of the game but it allowed players to create a game world much (well not much, but) like TESCS does today. It was the first editor I ever remember((damn, I wish I could remember the name(the main story revolved around the euphrates river)). Adventurer Construction Set (that just came to me, not sure if that is correct) Anyway, I am 35 and since the C64, I pretty much stayed away until Civilization. I pretty much lost a lot of potential party time over that game. Then doom hooked me the hardest. I still remember my cousin networking his two computers together somehow. We would play deathmatch for hours. (Actually was Doom 2) The funniest part of this was he had two computers. One played doom at full screen with pretty good fps. The other computer was not that good and to get a decent fps he would run the game in a window that was about 3 inches wide by 2 inches tall! My, how games and computers have changed over the last 15 years or so. So, I tend to check this forum more often in the future, and also hope that it will become more popular. Oblivion really needs a forum that is much more calm and allows useful info to be passed around without the flame and spam. (important stuff seems to be getting buried under all the 'I got it', 'do you got it', 'its awesome', 'it sucks', 'will my computer run it' type threads. Here's to a good experience to all. p.s. I would have ended with a  or :foodanddrink: but cake was the best I could come up with.

Hi, my real name is Tim. If you want to address me as Tim in some of your posts then please feel free to. I'm interesting in modding Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, but I have no idea where to start. I like playing video games, listening to music, playing bass guitar, photography, painting, and mixing songs. I have a level six Nord Barbarian in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and I've had various characters in Morrowind. This forum seems pretty cool. I haven't seen any real trolls so far, so it's looking good. If the forum admin need a moderator or something, just let me know. I've done it before, and ran my own forums so I'm not ignorant in the workings of Invision Power Board, or phpBB.

Hello, this is my first post on this forum and I would just like to introduce myself. I am a member of the US Armed Forces, currently at Fallujah, Iraq. My job keeps me on the base, so when I am not standing my watch, I am free to myself. I make the time fly by playing games. I have been eagerly anticipating Oblivion for several months and my wife just mailed it to me this last monday, God bless her. I can not wait to get it and start the experiance. I look forward to chatting with you guys about what I am sure will be a wonderful experiance. I decided on choosing your forums because I was impressed by the apparent presence of people of some intelligence as well as the lack of people of apparent immaturity that I noticed on the official elder scrolls boards. So thanks for providing the great atmosphere. I hope to learn from all of our shared experiances and maybe even pass on any notable observations I come by...

Hi everyone, I'm Sunboom 'The Solar Exploder', a 14 year old Elder Scrolls fan that lives in Holland. English is not my main lanquage but I think I can speak it quite well . Besides TES fan I'm also Nintendo fan, I own a good old Gameboy, a Gameboy Advance and a Nintendo DS. Too bad my computer's too weak for Oblivion, and I really don't have money for an Xbox 360. I do have Morrowind, I was totally addicted but right now I don't play it anymore.

Hello everyone, my name is Kora and I'm 17 year-old highschool student, from Romania, in Eastern Europe. My interest in RPG's of any kind was sparked when a cousin brought me Baldur's Gate, to play after my exams, to relieve myself of the tension. And, as they say, its been pretty much history from then! Currently, I'm residing in a small, rented apartment, with a computer I bought last summer, on what I earner during a part-time job. The only bad thing about it? I very much doubt that it is strong enough to run Oblivion . . .

Salutations!
I am Shiz. (Insert jokes about name here)
I come from the Internet bearing gifs. Heh, if you're a nerd you'll get it...if not...I'm a failure.
I don't really come from the internet, though I'm sure one day I'll have my conciousness placed on the net. That would be sweet. Ahem, actually I'm from Canada. The rainy part of Canada. The rainy west coast of Canada.
I've been playing Morrowind...since it came out (Not to be confused with TES, I only started on Morrowind). I rented it at first, then bought it. After I beat it, I went out and bought the Platinum Collectors edition for the Xbox, then I bought the Game of the Year edition for the Xbox, then the Game of the Year edition for Computer. So yes, I own every version of it for Xbox and Computer. I recently got Oblivion and have been playing it non stop for weeks now.
You'll see me in the Role Playing section mostly. Oh how I love to role play.
Ciao for now! (Rhymes, such wit.)

I truly wanted to have an original and special quote for my signature. Then I remembered that I'm on the internet and there isn't an original quote for me to put. So I just decided I would talk about not being able to find an original quote. Also, there is not such thing as an original quote, because after someone has said it, it's not original.

Hiya all! I don't think I've really introduced myself here, although I've been posting in some of the threads and reading a lot of others.
I am an artist who lives with my computer tech hubby Cain in Florida. He is recuperating from an injury right now and so we do a really lot of gaming. We play alot of MMORPG's - like Shadowbane, Anarchy Online, Eve Online, Lineage, Dark Age of Camelot, Diablo2, Delta Force2 and Black Hawk Down. And some others. We pay for the same game each month so we can play together and we switch around so we don't get bored.
But Bethesda games have been our very favorite ever since Arena. We have that Daggerfall & Morrowind on w98 and still play them sometimes. I am still modding for Morrowind even though I'm now playing Oblivion. I have all the .bsa unpacker tools, just haven't gotten around to opening my Oblivion data files yet for retexturing purposes. But I have done alot of retexturing in MW. I have 3ds max5, which I got to learn to model in MW - but I never found a suitable tutorial and couldn't figure it out on my own. But now I discovered a website that has a column dedicated to beginning modelers and their questions and shared knowledge - - so I might give it another try.
So anyway, it's really nice to be here and I like this site quite a bit. I found you guys after the link to Elder Scrolls.com stopped connecting in my startup window at the beginning of Oblivion. Does anyone know what happened to them or maybe my link just got broken.
