I like that the spells are categorised and the shortcut hotkeys, but I still think it's starting to get too many spells in my menus now. Many of them are almost similar, and just clutter the menus.
Is there a way to get rid of spells?
(Maybe this should go in the main forum, but I wasn't sure)

I don't think that there is a way to get rid of spells my Orc battlemages menu is chalk-full of spells that I don't even use anymore, and I can't get rid of them I still have those stupid beginning spells that you got in the very beginning of the game (the ones that do like 5 damage )

In Morrowind, it went something like this:
Open the menu and hover the cursor over the spell you want to remove. Hold shift (I think) and then press the left mouse button. The game will ask if you really want to remove the spell. Pick the answer you like and voila.
Of course, I have no idea what the devs did in Oblivion, but it is worth a try.

If you're on PC, there's a mod that allows you do this. Click here.
Only works for the spells that already exist in the game, not custom-made.
Other way to remove the spells from your spellbook would be to look up the form code for the spell in the Construction Set and then using Player.RemoveSpell [number] to get rid of it.
