Well in response too Ibis those are Pics of Friends, I had nothing too do with any of them.

Emo Kids are basically Drama Queens and kings.

I am NOT an Emo Kid. I am simply what I am, and I detest drama of all sorts.

What is all this hate? Highschool is tough, okay, it's tought. Hell, life is tough. During high school, everyone is searching for their identity, there's often an oppressive caste system, and the hormones put students of all genders in trigger-happy PMS thing. Goths, Emo kids, punks, they're all just kids trying to fit in, find themselves and get through it, and they usually grow up.

Oh, and the act of hating drama creates drama itself.

Now for myspace, you guys all say it's like hell-spawn and compassion, but here's the thing, I can keep in touch with people I haven't seen for years, because myspace is more popular than checking email. Going away to college is a heavy transition, and I wouldn't probably permantly lose some of my friends if not for myspace. There's the whole vain advertisement thing where people have a page of themselves, complete with theme music and stupid pictures, but on the other hand it sort of rolls barriers over when it comes to learning about people. I'd hate to admit this but when I get a new love-interest sometimes I search for her name on myspace to learn about her and see how much we have in common. So it's not a hell-spawn, it's just something on the computer that the retards from high-school think is cool.

And lastly, onto dantrag's emo poster, you scared the begeezus out of me. I'm not emo, but I do wear old thrift-shop shirts, and have a disc man, and wear my backpack over one shoulder, and never wear anything but loose, ripped up old jeans, and lastly that guy in that poster has my sneakers. But I'm not emo, and I doubt anyone considers themselves emo anymore. Nah, I went through three highschool stereotypes, the outcast, the prep and the burnout, never an emo kid though.

There, that's it.

Doomed is right, high school is tough for some - for me it was easy, I was popular but it was college that was a rude awakening to me. What? I'm not popular just because I'm pretty and my dad's rich? Oh? I have to have opinions and the guys are going to judge me by my brains? Much harder than dressing to fit in, but I made the effort.

My post about high schoolers was made as a fond joke, looking back on it all. As for this Emo-stuff .... I also dress sometimes in old thrift store clothes, ragged jeans and sneakers and yeh, I've got a MySpace - thanks to Intestinal Chaos who I wanted to keep in touch with. So it is a valid means of contacting people. Although I ought to use it more. But I am well over the age of being called an empkid and believe me - I'd never travel back in time to that age group. I like too much where I'm at. laugh.gif

I just deleted my account only because of that accusation.

I thought it was owned by Tom...

No but seriously, you give me evidence and I'll delete that account and burn it right now.

Edit: Looked it up myself, he bought it nearly a year ago. Why wasn't I told?

Oh, Ibis, you know Fox News? Rupert Murdoch owns it. He was good buddies with Ronald Reagan and responsible for the destruction of Fox's credibility. He is responsible for the creation of today's Republican Party Cheerleading Organization known as the FNC. Frankly, I would think he's no worse than any other greedy, immoral, sociopathic business tycoon, except that a few poor souls actually believe the great compassion that Rupert Murdoch and his cronies spoonfeed the American populous using Fox News. The very fact that such a fiend is even attached to a product I used has made me want to throw up.

Well, then - who is Jane Fonda married to? I thought he was the Fox Network owner. Oh, I don't know ...

But Doom, you can't delete your MySpace. You are on my friends list. I am not taking your picture down. I've only got like 5 people, counting John Corbett whom I've just got a crush on, but I don't even know. It's pathetic...maybe I'll take mine down too.

But really, I just want to talk occassionally to Intestinal Chaos there and it's the only way to keep up with his name changes. lolol laugh.gif So, I'll stay.

But I won't like this Rupert Murdock character. What a creep. Reagan indeed. They're all nothing but actors anyway - politicians. Except Gov. Shwarzenegger of course, he's for real. ROFL

But Channler, honestly, Rupert Murdoch to me is Osama Bin Laden to you, now answer honestly, if Osama Bin Laden owned myspace, how would you feel?

And no, I won't be deleting my myspace. This page made me change my mind:

Damn, you're gone for a moment and people turn your thread into a hate-fest 0_o

I don't condone the stereotyping or hate of any one person. It's an awful business. I tend to use stereotypical titles to describe a person very generally on the fly, but other than that it's an awful thing to do.

I don't care who you are or what you call yourself, as long as you're a good person I really don't give a damn.

(No, I don't think I'm being clever or unique posting this opinion)

Well, apparently some people see MySpace as being only a faddish way of advertising yourself, or something like that. Not sure what their gripe is really. If you don't like it, don't use it. That seems simple

I've found it to be a valid communication tool, a way to talk to people sometimes online at the same time you are so it's like a live conversation like msn or aim. And at other times you can leave messages. You can make posters, blogs, leave pms ... add friends who have common interests.

So hating it is similar to hating email or msn messenger, etc. which I guess some people do. (?) I must admit I remember a time when I couldn't even get my online banking done without friends on msn messenger there asking me to come Role Play ... but that was kinda fun, thinking back. Just a matter of limiting who are really the friends you want to talk to .... wink.gif
