I wanna see a list of moments that you felt really stupid (in the game, i dont want to hear a lot about your real lives ) Just so i dont feel so bad about mine. I have a bosmer with a custome class as my current chara. He is level 7 right now i think cuz i have only played him a few times. I basically made him to be in the dark brotherhood. I knew that i had to kill an innocent person to get in and that it would pop up a message etc. I killed about 20 people and never saw the message. I was flipping out and trying everything to get in. Couldnt do it. Finally i decided to just sleep and wait a bit. I, apparently, had not slept in a bed since the beginning of my killing spree because there was the speaker when i woke up. I spent about 5000 gold and WAY too much jail time all because i had not seen the message in the corner.

As far as I can tell just like DoomedOne I have lost my skeleton key. Its either dropped in some remote ayleid ruin while I was statue hunting, or in the hands of a trader, where it is soon to vanish into the junkpiles of oblivion. Suffice to say the chances of me finding it again are bad. I think nocturnal will be very cross with me. The last thing I need is a hot deadra prince on my tail.
Here is another part. Not entirely my fault but it made me feel stupid. I have a habit of running to shop counters like a child in a sweet shop. This will sometimes cause whatever I collide with to be send flying. While in the best defense in the imperial city I happened to send an iron cuirass flying towards heavy redguard mans face.
And since I usually talk to the face and accidentally snatched the cuirass out of the air. And I had to reload to the last autosave, and the shop entrance. What an inconvienience.

For the mages-guild quest, where you have to decipher the ayleid ruin... and after that cast different spells on the "mechanism" : I traveled the whole world, every city, every town, all day long to find a spell that destroys magicka, only to find out, that i just had to go 3 steps to the chest, next to the guy who waits down there. Hehhee! I have a good one for you I just noticed no sooner then yesterday, that fast travel means that you can click on the map to travel to a place, just like that! Was I suprised or what! But I'm a bit dissapointed, it just gets too easy this way. So I think I will awoid fast travel in the future also. It's so nice to just take the horse and "goin' on me journey.." and all that, kill monsters on the way. Gives more realism.

I was out in the middle of the wilderness (going from Cheydinhal to Leyawiin on the east side of the river, not using the road), and I wanted to recharge my enchanted weapons a bit. Since I have Azura's Star, this is moderately straightforward, but I've noticed that sometimes soulgems with souls in them get used instead of Azura's Star (presumably a bug... I swear I have no empty soulgems, but after soultrapping I end up with an empty Azura's Star and a grand soulgem with a petty soul in it or something). Anyway, so I put my 7 grand soulgems with grand souls in them and my 4 greater soulgems with greater souls in them onto the corpse of a mudcrab, to make sure I didn't accidentally wipe out a grand or greater soul. You guessed it. I went soultrapping with Azura's Star for a while, but forgot to go back and pick up my soulgems It was more than three game days before I realised, too, so the corpse would have been cleaned up/removed (even if I could find the right random mudcrab corpse... I think it was somewhere along the Panther river...) I felt pretty stoopid.

I thought one needed to be on a horse to fast travel. I could have saved myself so much time. Since I didn't realize this until I had to go from Kvatch to Weynon Priory.... ...and the horse I had ridden down was stolen.... ...So I couldn't get on it without being attacked... So I walked to Skingrad and past until I realized - I can fast travel without a horse!

QUOTE(Ibis @ Apr 25 2006, 07:56 AM) Yeh, what is it with this collision thing? That is SO inconvenient. I have been knocking things down in shops with my Imperial warrioress. She also moves slower than my Khajiit and Nord. I think her steel armor is too heavy for her and perhaps I have too much in her inventory. Anyway, I feel stupid quite often because my game just drops out and I lose everything after the last autosave. This is the Imperial this happens with. But I got very excited in a bookstore (I'm a reading freak in the game) because they had so many I liked, so I bought a bunch. Then I tried to turn her away from the counter and hit a table that had more books on it and of course they went flying. So, when I tried to pick up one of the books off the floor - the whole game dropped out and I lost all those books after taking so long choosing them. When I loaded again, I was nowhere near the town that the bookstore was in. Think I'm just going to put my Imperial in some leather armor so she can get around. Is this a common problem? Weight vrs. strength? I guess I could cheat and raise her stats some through the console. Was trying not to do that though. Well Im on xbox 360 so the crashing thing strikes any time and place and not provoked by anything. Its a little game I play sometimes, where I either guess when to save to avoid the crash doing much to my saves, or seeing if I can save before the game crashes. Because I sometimes get an early warning in the form of a powering down sound and the game losing all sound itself. And I do understand your passion for reading the books. If the game crashes on me and I have read any books that I havent at my last save, I get paranoid and feel the need to read them again. Well flick through them I mean. I just get the feeling my character is missing out otherwise. Weird, eh? Im not sure how this happened, but while in a cave there was one of those flail traps in the centre of this chamber, and it was spinning around the room like crazy. All around the room I mean, and there were a few dead bandits nearby and this thing absolutly battered me. Anyway my point is I think sometimes the physics gets a little faulty, resulting in corpses jolting around, items being blasted across the room when the pc hits them and crazy super traps.

Indeed. Also i think there is another bug, like when you enter a room and things immediately start falling from tables and flying about. Seems like the object placements are not stored correctly sometimes, so that when you enter an area they are floating in the air as default or something, and start falling. Hopefully a patch will fix this. Regarding stupid moments, I have too many to list, and I'm trying to forget them...

The reason you're so slowed down by Heavy Armor is that when you have less then 75 skill, you move at 50% speed in Heavy Armor. At 75 and up 99, you move at 75% speed, and at 100 you move with no restraints at all.

I jumped it Indiana Jones style, but didn't lose my head as some nice, big warriors wanted to rip me to shreds. I killed the first of two, and, low on health, started to dodge and block more than usual. My adversary swung at me and I jumped back, right onto the plate, and was impaled on some pretty spikes .

*hmm* As seen in this thread, I'va had some problems with NPC's "disappearing". Then tonight while cursing Bethesda 'cause Mr. Gro-Kash in Cheydinhal had gone AWOL so I couldn't finish a FG quest, I had a moment of clarity... ...houses DO have more than one floor... This does not however explain when it happen outdoors...maybe I'll check the treetrunks next time it happens..
