So I went out and bought Oblivion (finally) and after ripping it open and installing it I was getting kind of excited. And then I opened it and the menu came up, I chose the lowest options, then clicked play. And then....Nothing. Not even a black screen. If I open tast manager I can see it running in there but theres nothing happening. Anything that will make it go? My computer is a crap one but it meets minimum and I fully expect lag but I didn't expect to be greeted with nothingness.
Thanks,
Kingy

Hmm, that's wierd.
Well I don't have any other tips for you but to try to reinstall it, but I guess you have already tried it.

Yea, I've unistalled and re-installed. I'm currently downloading a No-Cd just incase it's a cd problem. After that I'll have to download the patch but I can't see that helping as surely it'd still open, patched or not.

Patches are made to fix glitches. And your glitch might fix with the patch.

It appears that the No-Cd fixed the problems that I was having. Now all I need is a decent graphics card so I can run it without massive lag.

It's good to see that you managed to resolve the problem. However, what did you mean by "nothing?" It simply froze?

Not even that. Oblivion would turn up in the task manager but nothing would be onscreen. There was nothing in the taskbar or anything to bring up either. But thanks to the mixture of Oldblivion and the No-Cd crack everythings running perfectly and I am finally getting to beat the game I bought.
