This is the main tool for mods, everyone here i asume has it, its called the construction set. Its free, and its user friendly, although you might be confused about a few things here and there, but you'll figure it out im sure.
Construction Set

You can also go here for when you have problems with it.

Nobody should be without the construction set, but there is a lot more to moding. A great list of things that can be done outside of the construction set to build mods.

After you play around with it, your welcome to email or msn me at

if you have questions or want to join my mod team ^^

Dont mention it, peace.

daedricwarrior, look on google or yahoo for these two tutorials for the Morrowind construction set before you start the Oblivion one.

Scott Fisher and also Dragonsong - so you want to be a builder. They really tell the basics of modding. It's hard to get the very beginnigs of modding with Oblivion because most all of us have learned in MW and the two construction sets are so similar that new tutorials aren't needed.

But the two above mentioned people will take you step by step through the mod building process in a very understandable way. It shouldn't be too hard to look up the similar stuff on the Obliv TESCS if you need to do it that way. If you could just try out the MW one first, that'd be even better because then you'd follow along exactly.

I would still sudgest reading the oblivion tutorials.
Oblivion has a new object ID system that the old guides wont mention.
For the most part your right it doesn't need a whole new guide, but its been made and its more accurate.

Nice Dirox, they have tutorials at the WIKI. Nice to know. I'm going to look into the landscaping one. My hubby landscapes for us but I bet we could both learn from that tut. Thanx. smile.gif
