attributes and skills, How are they tied exactly Options

I just can't figure some of them out. Some are no brainers like strength and blade(eventhough i don't know how each affects the other in terms of math). but can anyone tell me how illusion is tied to personality, besides level up modifiers? Or can any one tell me the math behind attributes and skills? I have a hella low personality, and an illusion skill of 101, would it make a difference if i had a high personality. If someone would give me a breakdown of this stuff i would be your best friend
