*looks around* What? No one's going to play with Bosmer?

Usually, I play with a female Bosmer named Marigold in Morrowind. She is irresponsible as they come, and she'll steal anything for gold. biggrin.gif

If the character creation in Oblivion is really good, I'll probably play as a sweet female High Elf healer, a ditzy female Dunmer assassin, or a care-free female Bosmer thief.

I just can't wait! smile.gif

Uh, which one? tongue.gif

Anyway, two other things I'm sorta hoping for: better magic combat, and necromancy. Because IF (big if) there is a necromancy magic school, I'm DEFINITELY playing my young Breton necromancer Emma. :lickinglips:

Hey, she was raised by a Necromancer when she lost her parents to vampires, so it's only a matter of time. tongue.gif

I want to be able to do Necromancy in Oblivion. I think it would be a change in the game.

Well, she isn't so bad. She still has that "honor" and "life is valuable" concept jammed down her throat when she was still with her parents. She thinks people should value life---while they still can. And if you treat your life badly (like if you're a selfish or cold murderer or something), then you get your just desserts! tongue.gif She usually raises corpses of criminals, power-hungry evil mages, etc.

I did write a rough draft quite awhile ago, but I don't think it's any good (because I didn't and still don't know much about lore), so yeah. That's not creepy. My old rough draft of when Celia married a vampire was creepy. (She's a curious girl after all). tongue.gif Well, not creepy, but still wierd nonetheless...

Bosmer, however, make terrible Necromancers, cause of that pesky "MEat mandate" they have to eat anything and everything theyh kill within three days.

Hard to raise anything non-skeletal that way. biggrin.gif

Not all bosmer follow that rule. The more liberal ones that live in big cities tend to adapt more central culture.

Somehow i doubt that, its pratically areligious thing.

Its like tell a House Redoran Dunmer to take a leak in the Ash Pits in Ghostgate because the bathroom is already in use. tongue.gif

there are plenty of exceptions to every race. many bosmer don't follow that law because frankly, it's sort of difficult to continue doing in big cities. It's like muslim women wearing the head thing (sorry if calling it that is offensive) though most muslim women in america still wear them,it's not really a convenience so a small fraction don't, especially if they've lived outside a muslim culture for enough generations.

Um, are you talking to me? :ashamed: Did I say a Bosmer necromancer? I'm pretty sure that I said Breton...

Anyway, not all members of a race follow the rules, I don't think. It's like saying every American is a meat-eater or something like that...
Anyway, my Lilim, Dunmer assassin, could care less about Dunmer tradition. tongue.gif

Yea, the thing about compaing RL to TES is this:

You could, in Morrowind strike a man down in cold blood so long as he punched you. Tes is a cold and barbaric world.

Ordinators will burn you at a stake for preaching the Nerevarine Prophecies.

Anyone acting against the flow of culture should keep in low key. Or have the ability to survive the consquences.

Morrowind is quite different than cyrodiil, a much more open and accepting place. Obviously any bosmer would be outcast for not following the rituals, if this bosmer were living in his or her homeland. It's a rule for whever you go in the real world, and the pattern seems to have stayed true in transition to Tamriel. Cities are always more liberal, tolerant and accepting than rural areas. Cyrodiil is a giant melting pot of a city for different races and peoples, and as such many more bosmer feel at ease, just like dunmer would feel at ease, with religious stuff that could get them killed in more rural areas.
