Well here we are with two opponents, both former victors, both very skilled. I hope this prologue to the fight will not seem one sided for either fighter and I hope I have portrayed each well enough. I must have gone over this a million times but I think what I am left with will satisfy all. Good luck to both Savlian and Sethyas and let's get this show on the road!

Mehrunes Dagon, while deeply impressed with the previous battle; wanted much much more. His greedy Daedric mind wanted to see more mortals throwing their lives down just to please him. It bolstered his ego, pleased his thirst for pain and sorrow and most of all…it gave him something to do. In his realm, he was judge, jury and executioner; but he left the executing to his “guests.”

His halls were beginning to see the trials of battle but he knew it would take more than a man in daedric armor and a man with magical hilts to bring this palace down so he waved his hands and picked those that have fought before him previously to make things more interesting. It seems as though this could all be made into a tournament of sorts to see who was better than who. Plucking two combatants from previous fights, he magically dropped them down into his makeshift arena before his mighty balcony and licked his sadistic lips in anticipation…

Sethyas, who had thanked the mistress lady luck for his previous win against the mighty, but less lucky Morvayn was the first to fade into view before Mehrunes Dagon. The poison of his arrow saving him and the stroke of luck that guided him paved his way into this heat of the Daedric Prince’s twisted competition. His equipment and weapons were completely unscathed from his previous battle and he stood, immediately ready this time for now he knew why he had been brought here. He wished to obliterate the foolish and petty Daedric Prince for organizing such a bloody game but in order to survive, in order to protect those he cherishes, Sethyas readies himself, eager to fight for himself, his loved ones and in honor of his fallen friend he had defeated previously.

The second figure to fade into the battleground was the captain of the guard in Kvatch. Savlian was also readied for battle as soon as the sickening feeling came over him once again. Still donning his Kvatch attire complimented by a grey cloak, he stands still, remembering the events that unfolded when he first arrived here. He remembers his attempted rebellion against all of this, remembering his sword hitting the ground followed by the furious look on Mehrunes Dagon’s face.

Breaking his spirit instantly, and reminding him harshly of why he was forced to fight the last time, images of a tortured Cyrodiil sprung to mind. His victory in the previous one was a bittersweet one. Being forced to kill a man he had never met was something that would take Savlian a long time to forget. He hoped that Mehrunes Dagon would refrain from interfering in this battle like he did the previous and in even thinking it, Savlian sprung to action not wanting to displease the often impatient Daedric Prince.

Sethyas smirked as his Imperial opponent had made the first move. Cool and calculating, Sethyas imagined hundreds of possibilities before The Captain of the guard in Kvatch was not even five feet away.

The assassin casually strafed to the right and spun around beside the advancing Imperial. With a deadly dagger drawn and placed at the throat of his foe, the Dunmer assassin whispers a ghastly threat.

“No offence but I would like to get this over with.” Sethyas hisses as he draws the dagger ever closer to Savlian’s jugular. With a swift movement, the Imperial reaches an armored hand between himself and the advancing blade and propels his head backwards in hopes of stunning his opponent. The Dunmer anticipates the attack, but with little distance between them, the assassin was helpless as the back of Savlian’s head collided with the Sethyas’ mouth.

Though the assassin was shaken by the defensive counter, he was still successful in having his dagger tear through Savlian's armored gauntlet and across the knuckles of his Imperial Adversary. Sethyas looked at his armored hand, catching the few drops of blood that was seeping through his nose and mouth. More of an impact to his pride than anything, the assassin growls as he lets his bloodied dagger dance across his hand, spinning it playfully as he watches Savlian favor his damaged knuckles.

The Daedric Prince let from his belly an evil laugh at the first sight of blood. He craved more, which he made perfectly clear as he raised one of his axe wielding hands into the air. The two combatants stood still for split seconds, although it seemed like hours before Savlian darted forward, looking to settle the score while Sethyas smiled softly, ready now with both the Black Hand’s Dagger and his Mehrunes Razor...
