I will actually try and not eat that many. As you can probably tell they are not very healthy, I'm getting older and I aim to get even older, so... That’s quitter talk!

Here's something I can't quite decide. Are these ones semlas? How about these ones? If we can't decide, I might have to go there and see them in the flesh cream!

I need to taste a few in order to tell...

QUOTE(mALX @ Jan 31 2025, 09:09 PM) Wonderful news from my eye doctor appt. today = He said with between 2 to 6 surgeries he might be able to get me back my eyesight!!!! He said my left eye is totally blind; the right one is VERY bad, but not nearly as bad as the left. He is going to do the first surgery in a little over a month. If it goes well he will do the right one 3 weeks later. If it doesn't go well then he will do another surgery on the left; etc. Either or both eyes could take more than one surgery; but he is hoping one will do it on each; even though the problem with my eyes is both inside and on the cornea. He sounded VERY confident he could fix my eyes, WOO HOO!!!!!!!
That is indeed encouraging news mALX. I pray everything goes well and your vision is improved!

Woot, here's hoping all comes out well! Speaking of health, I've felt miserable since around 1830 Wednesday evening 29 Jan. Went to Urgent Care yesterday morning. Was diagnosed with a severe case Influenza type A ("primary", whatever that means). Was prescribed three medicines, which I picked up on the way home. Didn't notice any improvement the rest of that day, but feel slightly better today. (It would be difficult to feel worse.) At least I'm no longer spending much of my time slumped at the computer with my head cradled in my arms, softly moaning. Also, my hands no long shake so much that I can't use the PC keyboard. (They still shake to a minor extent.) Another health issue. I visited dermatorogly this past Monday, 27 Jan, to see if a non-healing sore is cancerous. The doc cut a chunck from the surface of my skin. I was of course numbed so felt nothing. However, the nurse then covered the wound with a standard bandage. I mentioned at the time that due to location, near the top of the leg in the loins region, it wouldn't hold. I wish I had been more forceful with my concern. It indeed didn't hold. I lost a lot of blood by the time a got home. So much so that I became lightheaded/dizzy on the road and had to consistently shake my head to stay alert. Thankfully, I have some self-adhering elastic strips here at the house. Quickly as I could, I replaced the conventional bandaid then wrapped the leg with a strip. Worked like a charm. Only today has the wound healed enough to remove the strip. Speaking of dermatology, my visit is all but certainly where I contacted the flu. The waiting room was jam packed, my appointment delayed a good fourty-five minutes. Had to wait around a bit longer afterword than I should due to their printers being down.
