I suppose I should be glad that I haven't found a girl I am willing to chance A). having a relationship with or cool.gif. breaking my streak of "wierdness" (my record of zero attempted dates/girlfriends).

Anyway, I'm not going to have a girlfriend for awhile if things go my way (I'm happy with grils being friendly, but nothing more intimate).

It is now time for one of the Priest's favorite cheer up songs:

ey, that sounds like me tongue.gif

The main difference is that I did let one get close... but now, because of a series of unfortunate events... we aren't talking to each other at all. I don't want that to happen (and I know she is just one and she is nothing like any other girls I might have an eye on but it's still a chance I'm not wanting to take again)

Soulseeker, All is for the "best," even if your "best" isnt the "best" it is for, ya get me?

Sounds like we need a Dr. Phil Thread on this forum, and for those of you who aren't yanks or knowledged to Dr. Phil, he is a overblown "psychologist" who runs a TV show for mid life crisis sufferors and the like. All in all, he is like the male version of Opra.

Here ends the public announcement, carry on with your coffee shop debauchery tongue.gif

That "Trogdor" song does has a catchy riff. Seriously.

My favourite cheerup song? Jeez, with all the depressive crap I have on shelves, I dunno. Maybe Pogues, "If I should fall from grace with God"?

That ACDC song that goes "He has big balls, she has big balls..." is pretty cheeryuppy too, because you can't help smile and laugh at the double entendre.

Nice use of the Vocabulary, I have to admit, I had to look up entendre again, been soo long since vocab...actually, I'm just stupide.

I saw something that should cheer everyone up, no matter what quasi-lifestyle you live...

This was seriously like five minutes ago,

Seriously funny

Hmmm, yeah, now will it do with someone who´s been married for the last twenty-odd years? huh.gif

Yay! last working day of this week! Maybe I can find someting more amusing to do than cleaning the house all weekend?

The neighbor's kid brought me her b-day cake smile.gif she's turning 11 and is a really a spitting image of her mother - lovely, smart and benevolent kid. I wish there were more people like them in our building.

This makes me stop & think; I am alone here for next 10 days or more and it's kinda making me twitchy - so when the doorbell rang I was uneasy, for some reason. A nice, well-behaved kid with 3 pieces of yummy cake was the last thing I expected. Acts of kindness like that aren't actually random thing here; we drink coffees and eat pastry with neighbors, we mourn when they experience loss in the family, we are happy when they have reasons to celebrate something.

How do you guys get along with your neighbors [presuming you have them]? Is it just a 'good morning/evening' thing or do you get to know some of them better?

p.s.: tomorrow I'm bringing them back the saucer she brought me the cake in, along with some Milka choc. It's the least I can do.

Aww that was sweet! Well neighbours..hmmm yup I do have quite a bunch of those, since I live in a house among a lot of other houses. And we sort of say hello to most, when we happen to meet that is! Swedes are a bit shy and normally we don´t just mingle with others randomly. we do have another family down the street which we meet with. They have a daughter the same age as my son and those kiddos are just so close!

A shame really that we don´t spend more time with our neighbours.... kvleft.gif

I don't even know my neighbors very well, I know that the family beside us has a couple of girls (one being younger than me and the other...... I have no idea) and has flashy cars that only sit in their driveway and look pretty. (lol)

Not much else than that I'm afraid

Umm, yeah. I do have neighbours but like Revan, I barely know more than name and gender. In fact, I haven't even gotten a good look at their 2/3/4 years old son yet! Crazy! wacko.gif

I know basically nothing about my neighbours. Doesn't help that they're all old and I'm... errr.... not. >_>
