Bless you haute! So sorry to hear of your ailment- but pleased that it is responding to treatment. Recommend tea and good reading for therapy. A kitty or two would not be amiss either....

Here's hoping for a speedy and complete recovery.

So tonight we celebrated The Boy’s homecoming (3 week summer study away) and his birthday. Here you go: C A K E

Toward the end of the festivities a storm struck, and I mean hard. The Girl ran upstairs to rescue her electronics and construct a visual barrier around Flower the Fish’s bowl so he wouldn’t be afraid. Of drowning in the rain? Who knows. Then we turned out the lights and watched to see if any trees would fall. We could see because of the continuous lightning. The street flooded (not serious), and the birdfeeder pole tipped over. (That was a surprise. It was anchored waaaay down in the ground because the deer lean on it.) Oh, and there was a lot of hail.

At one point we had all wandered to the back of the house because there is this one pine tree that really looked like it was going to go. Mr. Grits turned around to look back out the front windows. During a break in the thunder, he quietly said, “There’s someone standing in our driveway.”

blink.gif

There wasn’t, but I still have goosebumps.

Also at one point we realized that Captain Bobo had joined us. At 9 o’clock he should still be deeply asleep in his tea box under piles of shredded tissue. But instead he was on his hamster wheel, running for his very life.

We watched him for a bit. (Still a lot of lightning.) Every once in a while he would poke his head out of the wheel and look around as if to say, “F--, I’m still here?!” and then he would resume his mad dash. Poor little guy. He’s still running.

Yikes Grits! To be honest though, I wouldn't mind a storm like that. Where I am, we're in a drought. Grass is all brown and it's been weeks since I've heard the drone of a lawn mower anywhere. Some of the farmers have plowed their crops under already, not worth harvesting anything.

Poor Captain Bobo though! laugh.gif

Wow...That's a hell of a storm... blink.gif ...

And KC, I have much sympathy with the farmers...That must be heartbreaking...We here had been waiting for a break in the rain in order to harvest the grass for winter (silage)...We finished this last round yesterday...Sooo tired...

Aaamywho...So many of the crops in the UK have been ruined by too much rain this year...Luckily, we're just the other side of a fair sized pile of rocks called the Clwydian range, and these tend to act as a sponge for the absolute worst of the weather, so we sometimes get it better here than other places...

On the flip-side of that, those mountains make it so we can also see mega thunder storms heading for the coast to the west or headed up the valley towards Chester eastwards and yet I can look up into clear blue skies... sad.gif ...We haven't had a decent storm for ages...

Bless the Bobo!!! Awww!!!...

I had a pretty good weekend. Went paintballing on Saturday morning to early afternoon. I got shot a lot but that's part of the fun. I am still very sore from all the running and crouching behind cover. It was well over 90F and humid, so I got home sweaty, muddy, and sticky from the paint. I've got three welts that are just now fading.

Then I bought a new road bike and just took it for a ride an hour ago. It flies!

I've been biking lately as well KC

Cycling home from the gym to catch the 100m final today, ran over a barbecue sauce packet near McDonalds.

Absolutely exploded, looked like I'd been shot in the leg.

Stunk as well.

LOL! I'll be sure to avoid any packets. It is a lot of fun though, I plan on using the bike for my commute to school when the semester starts rather than trying to find a parking spot on campus.

Afert 8 months of searching for a job with no success, I finally had an interview scheduled a few weeks ago. It didn't work out because the manager didn't even show up when he promised he would be there all day. Talk about incopetence! And it was a half hour drive!

Anyways, to top that sour mood with a better one, I finally have two jobs interviews set up this week!

I hope I get one of them! I can finally pay some of the rent, fix my PS3 and replay some Skyrim, focus more on my body and achieve some great abs to flaunt when I go(if I go) back to Brazil in December.

And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed.
I long for scenes where man hath never trod
A place where woman never smiled or wept
There to abide with my Creator, God,
And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept,
Untroubling and untroubled where I lie
The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”

Darkness Eternal, good luck with the job interviews!

I just returned home today, and though it was good to visit grandma and everyone else I'll be very happy to sleep in my own bed again. As well as being able to access my files. See, about an hour out of Stockholm I remembered that I'd forgotten my usb in my computer, so I haven't done much work on Ekali's story I'm afraid. I've been working on Sorcalin's though and will probably post something soon.

It's actually really good for getting ideas, restricting yourself to only writing on paper. And it's also very hard to get distracted by youtube and stuff like that.

Anyways, we began the trip with a visit to Nordens ark, a zoo that specializes in endangered species. The first day we got to see their maned wolves and their pups being fed, I filmed quite a bit of it and will try to upload it to youtube when I figure out how to do that. The second day the snow leopards were very active, even playing with each other at one point. However, my battery died before that so I couldn't tape it. But I got a lot of great pictures with dads camera. And then we saw the amur tigers eating. We saw lots of other animals as well, but those were the most memorable.

I hope everyone are okay, and if you aren't I hope you'll get better soon!

Welcome back! It sounds like you had a very nice visit.

I've done that with the USB, I've started using Dropbox for small files such as documents that I want to be able to access anywhere.

Thanks for posting the pictures, the snow leopards are especially gorgeous. biggrin.gif

Popped in to say "hello" for nostalgia sake. I was reinstalling Morrowind and it reminded me of this forum I used to frequent. It looks like there's a lot of new faces. I can't say I spent more time on any one forum as much as I did this one, it and the folks on it hold many fond memories.

Welcome back! There was a pretty big influx of new blood here right about the time you unplugged (spring of 2010) caused largely by a big format change over on the BethSoft forums that upset many of us fanfic writers there. Many of the 2005-6 chorrol crowd are still here, just a bit less visible.

I saw your thread seeking an old MW mod. Sorry can't help. Have you tried the MW modding subforum at BethSoft? Good luck. I know it is frustrating when you can't find a mod you know and want!
