That's hilarious!!!! All of my customers are so cranky though. The best I can do is act insulted at whatever they say. I like people well enough, but when customers come in, they're having a bad day and are just to pessimistic. I've had people spit on me for being bright and friendly when they were having a bad day. I think I need to learn to read people a bit better.

It never made sense to my why people take out their anger on other people when they're having a crappy day.

I remember when I was working as a mall cop (yes, haha, very funny mad.gif) people would scream at me for telling them to stop doing something they weren't supposed to do.

My dad's like that. It's really obnoxious.

I don't think she meant that literally mALX.

There's a figurative kind of spit? Because I mean, they projected saliva and phlegm from their mouths and aimed it at my person. I've had things thrown at me too. Not just a bag of chips, either. Blenders, bags of charcoal, even a silverware tray. People get really irate over ten cents. Even if I apologize and tell them it will be just a moment, I'll open the register, they'll screech at me and say I'm stealing from them.

If y'all go to a website called Not Always Right y'all will see I'm not the only one lol

They actually spit on you?! That's just [censored]

I'd suck at your job though. My temper would probably cause me to break a chair over the person's head if they spit on me.

Oh sure, but it comes out of the already meager check they give you.

Sounds warranted. I sure as hell won't tolerate that. I would hit someone without even thinking of it.

I wonder what profession has the highest number of spitting "clients?" My guess is Police.

When you have a two year old that needs food in his mouth as well as student loans needing to be paid off, a car note, and said two year old growing like a Hobbit drinking Ent tree juice, you kind of have to take what is dished out.

Now, one day I DID snap, and told a woman who was threatening me to try something. The thing about me is, I KNOW I can't fight, but I sure won't mind hurting your fist with my face. I told her this, and her boyfriend just started laughing, as well as my boss and coworker. She got angrier and told me to watch my back.

Another thing, when I'm angry and worked up, I get really sarcastic. I started turning around and said "I CAN'T DO THAT, I'M TOO FAT. Get out before I sit on you!"

They left. What started it? My boss caught them trying to steal diapers. My coworker knew them and said they don't have any kids. They came back later and started cussing at my boss, which what started the whole thing. I told her, politely, "Well ma'am, if it bothers you that much, you can leave and never come back." XD That's when she started screaming and cussing at me, and I told her to try something.

blink.gif ...

The wife and I get sick of this attitude people get when they've been caught out doing something wrong...I mean, if you can't handle getting caught, don't do the damned thing in the first place!!...

My daughter was getting bullied in school, so, in the end I went around to the girls' houses...I got crap off one of the mothers for hassling her...The other set of parents were two of the nicest people I've ever met...

But, the bullying stopped at that point...

However, not that long ago, one of the girls almost screamed at the daughter about the fact that she'd told me about it...Well, if she hadn't bullied in the first place fercryingoutloud!!... blink.gif ...Stupid cow...And I should know one...

That spitting is disgusting btw... indifferent.gif ...

Poor kiddos. I got bullied all through my childhood and highschool and as an adult, I'm sick of it. I pay my own bills and have my own family, don't come at me with your petty insults, and don't you DARE try to make me feel bad for doing my job correctly.

Sigh. People look at me and think, she's overweight, has glasses, is soft-spoken and friendly. Let's make her cry. I don't cry at insults anymore. I get really mad.

In middle school the other boys would call me names and try to beat me up. I was always stronger than them though so I was accused of being a bully by the teachers and the people who bullied me never got in trouble mad.gif

Yknow, when the alien dreadnought is sitting in orbit and the bug-eyed emissaries beam down to judge what redeeming quality mankind exhibits that should prevent them from blasting us into so much floating space goo, Im going to step forward and hold up mALX and Grits and Liz and say:

Because we make these!

I am now thoroughly flattered.

I started teasing people in a good-nature'd way, and so far it's worked fabulously. This one woman let out a belch that would put a man to shame, and I said "Wow. Good job." and she cracked up laughing.

I mean, I was in a terrible mood all day, but at least she took it the way I meant it XD

I used to work with a girl that could belch like several men in unison. Some of them had tails on them at the end...really gross, and I mean puke-time gross. I'd be covering my mouth and gagging, and she'd laugh her head off at me.
