If Axl had called me down, I'd have gone. He was in a kilt. I was in the tier by Slash's end of the stage, Axl was in the middle tier, only people below him. They could look up his kilt, so I wondered if he was wearing panties/what they were seeing when they looked up. And Slash - Slash's hair and jeans looked ... grimy. He called me down on stage and I gave him a few choice Italian sign language gestures. Now, Steven Tyler called me down on stage several times, and you would not believe how he does it - AWESOME! My husband had to tie me to the seat to keep me from going at his concerts. He nearly yanked my dress in two one time pulling me back to my seat. LOVE going to concerts, lol. You DISSED SLASH?? My hubby would be flabbergasted, lol At the time, he was in bad need of a bath. I have my standards on who I'll jump down on stage for, lol. And I never go back stage for the parties after the first shocker.

Ahahaha! I don't blame you. Hubby and I were in a band. Baths were a must after-wait, what shocker?? The first time I went to an after concert party was the last time I ever went to an after concert party. I was pretty shocked, decided it wasn't for me.

Oh wow! Never even dreamed about going to an after concert party. If they call you onstage, they usually want you to go back stage during the break - don't do it. If you go down on stage at the last of the concert they invite you to ride the limo with them to their hotel for a party - don't do it. But getting on stage? Hell yes, have a ball and enjoy it! (if they are clean, disease and drug free, etc). Steven Tyler is clean and drug free; don't believe anyone in GNR was. Slash was going through some grunge phase or something back then - urk. Really gross. I've seen him cleaned up with Velvet Revolver, and believe he may be off drugs now. He is an AWESOME guitarist!

Hubster and I BOTH agreed with don't do backstage parties without the other, lol. We also both agreed that neither of us are attractive enough to be invited to one XDDDD A lot of it is where you sit. The wings are where the most people get invited from usually. The band scans the wings to see who they want to invite down. The floor rarely ever gets invited up. I did get invited once when I was down on the floor, (most likely because the band could see down my top from up there). Every other time it was when I was sitting in the wing section by the stage. I always aim for seats in the wings, just in case. Then you can decide if you want to go or not, depending on the band/how clean they are or aren't, etc. I don't do drugs at all, barely take baby aspirins - so when I go to a concert if the band is so stoned they can't play their own music - I won't go down when invited. That was what happened at the GNR concert, it was awful. White Snake was the lead in band, and they ROCK'd! GNR got out there and kept going in the back to get high and meandering back out - then before 30 minutes was up they went in back for so long everyone started booing and demanding their money back. Axl couldn't remember the words to any of the songs and couldn't read them off the teleprompt either - after all that Slash called me down on stage. I told him no in the rudest and most visible way possible - Italian hand gestures. This post has been edited by mALX: Mar 10 2013, 02:57 AM

QUOTE(treydog @ Mar 9 2013, 09:56 PM) When I had a pinched nerve in my neck (something I DO NOT recommend by the way)- the doc prescribed hydrocodone.
I took HALF of one pill and immediately decided I would rather hurt.
The really funny thing is- I also had to take steroids- and they warned my I might gain weight. I lost 5 pounds with the steroids...
Goofy dachshund metabolism...
I agree with you on the hydrocodone. My doctor used to prescribe them for migraine headaches - I ended throwing them out or not filling the prescription and just using tylenols. On the steroids - sorry, but I am going to have to use a balding spell on you for that. Anyone that doesn't turn into a moonpie faced pillsbury dough boy while taking steroids needs some dire punishment to make up for it = balding spell. I don't have to put a balding spell on my husband, he is headed that way all on his own - but he eats like some kind of termite and never gains an ounce. It he changes channels on the remote 5 times rapidly he loses a pound - I swear I could just scream when I am eating tiny salads and measuring portions year after year and he is gorging on cookies/ice cream/fried taters/etc. - and year after year he never gains an ounce !!! URK! You men and your metabolisms !!! GAAAAAAH !!!!!!

How about if they "diet" for a day and lose 5 pounds?? My husband is like that. If he started eating healthy, he'd drop all 360 lbs in 3 weeks, lol I, however, have to nearly starve myself and exercise hardcore to lose anything. I quit being concerned about it, lol

He is wearing the same jeans he was when I met him, it's like he is frozen into ... hey wait, that is IT! He's an alien! I knew it!
