Well, that was a textbook example of unnecessary nervousness. Everyone at the new job is OK, the atmosphere is loose and light, and the guys have decent taste in music, too. Job is not hard at all. Our main boss there [my ex-neighbor, friend of family] is just as cool as everyone. I'm going to enjoy this. <3 The only bad thing today was working in the vicinity of too many great AMD processors and GF8xxx cards... I nearly drooled a few times on them. Oh well, in several months, one of each will be mine, MUAHAHA. Another thing - here's a little ray of sunshine for Zarrexaij and everyone else that's feeling the stress: ClickyThis post has been edited by milanius: Dec 10 2007, 06:50 PM

A what a beautiful ray of sunshine, Milanius and I am so happy that your story ended well. I think I feel that you are finally where you should be doing what you love most ... drooling .. I mean, working with computer hardware. How often have you mentioned the same here at the forums? Often that I remember and I forsee you messaging us from gargantuan supercomputers that you've built for yourself in the future. All good, Mil, very very good. To Metal Mallet and all the others with final exams and not enough time for study .. my heart goes out to you. I remember those days. Do your best, try to make your essay as interesting as possible .. both for your sake and that of the professor's .. think of the tedium of how many he/she's got to read .. and maybe they'll overlook it being a little shorter than prescribed. I once turned a series of Q & A on an exam into a short story form just because I was bored with so much studying and the prof gave me a A+++ and a comment of "wow, this was refreshing after all the papers I've been reading". Not recommended with all profs of course. Glad you will soon be home to see your cat & family Minuqe. You sound like you've enjoyed yuor trip but it is getting nearer to Christmas and I'm sure you'll want to be home then. Lord Revan - the image has to be small & within so many pixels or measurments horizontally & vertically. If it doesn't fit - I generally keep reducing an avatar with Paint program until it is accepted. Some sites resize naturally. This post has been edited by Ibis: Dec 10 2007, 07:35 PM

I swear, the school board administration is a bunch of avaricious homicidal bastards that deserve to be disemboweled and castrated/splayed.
We had school today, despite the ice storm that hit us last night and despite the fact they knew another would hit us today. Everyone around us who was not part of our district was out. Anadarko was out. They're fifteen minutes from us. Amber-Pocasset was out, they're less than ten minutes away from us. Did Chickasha Public Schools get out? Nope. That's not even the entire cake. Less than half the teachers showed up, and less than tenth of the student body (out of slightly less than 900) showed up, too. BETTER YET, the power went out. And stayed out. For two hours. Not just ours, every single school in Chicksha. Did they let us out then? Hell no. They wanted their bloody funding. So I went through the entire school day bored. By the end, most classes had less than three kids in it. Pathetic. And guess what? We don't have school tomorrow.
I don't cat juggling know how that's supposed to make up for the cat juggling time those people wasted. The time we were in the cold.

...must your school/town/people/state resemble so much my own, when I was young? As for the time in cold... they probably wanted kids to get sick. SO that doctors would have something to do and pharmaceutic industry would profit. Yep.

QUOTE(minque @ Dec 10 2007, 11:44 PM) Yes this trip has been just great, I will miss the solitude the fact that I can do whatever I want to, without having to ask someone or adjust my doings to others..but ok...it will be nice to see my folks again...
I should hire you to go on business trips for me. I've just come back from Munich, and while I love the city, I just detest having to sleep in a tiny uncomfortable hotel bed and drive five hours there and five hours back.

I should be sleeping, damnit. But tomorrow is supposed to be a slow day, although the season is nearing and that means lots of crazed rednecks who want lots of PeeSee's for their brats Thank goodness my colleagues are such oddballs and loose crew. <3

Revan: did you try tinyurl? It might help you: www.tinyurl.com
Zarrexaij: health card, perhaps? [I have no idea how it's called or if you even have those in US, but I'm talking about a small card that we use for ID at public hospitals]
If that doesn't work, there is probably something else you could use with your signature you could use with driver's license - which, I presume, has both your signature and picture.
It's snowing outside, nice & slow. It's cold, but at least the snow will last a bit. I have to remind myself to drive more carefully.
