FINALLY. After starting it however long ago (like a year-and-a-half?), I finally got around to finishing Half-Life on an autosave-only playthrough. That was quite a struggle, but an interesting way to play even with the really frustrating parts. Also completed the main quest of the Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4 the other day. Still plenty to explore there. Likely going to blow up the Children of Atom. And I got to do Nick Valentine's personal quest and gave Eddie Winter what was coming to him. [censored] scumbag. Plastered him and gave him a taste of his own medicine. Have fun in hell, Eddie. EDIT: Not sure if I have to warn that the screenshot is fairly graphic, but I am going to now just in case. Fah Habah was fun to explore. The radiation can be a bit annoying at times. OTOH it is great place if you have the Ghoulish perk. I am thinking of trying it out with my current ghoul character Medusa, since she does not mind rads. I have never even seen Eddie Winter. I make it a point not to collect the Eddie Winter tapes, since you cannot remove them from your inventory without doing the quest. I have never much liked companions in Bethesda games. They always step in front of you when you are shooting, or shoot you in the back, or run into every grenade you throw. Not to mention always blocking every doorway and setting off every trap. So I have never had Nick as a companion. Except to free him from that Vault he is imprisoned in.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Jul 7 2018, 09:23 AM) Love it! Such a great game. Wish I could play more but I'm occupied being on vacation Fallout 3 was the first game in the FO series I played...but now I have a dilemma. Do I save Megaton or nuke it? I'm tempted to nuke it .

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jul 7 2018, 02:33 PM) I only nuked it with one character - Loviatar. Of course she is a mutant cannibal mad scientist. I modded a lair for her just outside the ruins. She loved to bask in the warm glow of the radiation...
I went ahead and sended Megaton to the fiery pits of Hell. Damn Moriarty trying to get 300 caps from me now the whole town has to pay including that mustache psycho Moira. Mwuahahahaha .

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jul 7 2018, 05:01 PM) The caravans still stop at Megaton's crater. Usually one shows up every day. So you still have them to sell things to. Loviatar kept them alive.
Khajiit was referring to the traders within Megaton

QUOTE(Dark Reaper @ Jul 8 2018, 08:48 AM) You did it at night, perfect! You get the best explosion then. You have to go back and look at the crater now. But bring plenty of RadAway! QUOTE(mirocu @ Jul 8 2018, 09:08 AM) Blowing up Megaton would have cost me a home and a merchant. This one says nope to that You also get a home in Tenpenny tower and a bunch of merchants there. So it works out if you go that path. Granted, the Tenpenny room is smaller and less customizable than the Megaton shack. But there are mods that allow you to add themes or otherwise spiff it up.

Oh yes, I forgot about that. And Tenpenny has even more merchants to trade with. But I like Moira and the Megaton shack better And you can trade with the TPT folks even if you deactivate the bomb so the only way you lose vendors is if you blow up Megaton.
