The Flying Bullets
Sam Gorrose The massive walls of haven were high enough to blot out the sun, the ancient structure creaking and groaning as it warmed in the rising sun. The entrance to the stadium, once a place that bustled with activity as thousands of fans came to support their team, had been replaced by a gate made of scrap bolted together, able to be lifted by an old car engine when the men guarding it so willed. Sam Gorrose, followed by Aiden and Karelia, smiled as he saw the stadium. "Here we are, Haven," he announced triumphantly to his two travel weary companions. "I told you we'd make it in the end, didn't I?" |
