Hiddleston has ruined his options when it comes to paying any other comic book character because his Loki is the best thing in the MCU!

I think there are too many younger actors whose range runs from 'obnoxious entitlement' to 'glib superiority'… that is to say that we have way too many Jesse Eisenbergs running around Hollywood!

I watched The Help last night for the second time. Such a fantastic movie. This time around I realized that the protagonist was being played by Valdi.

Oh my goodness, adorable!! I never saw Emma Stone looking that way, she’s always so glamorous. She even has Valdi’s short nose and funny mouth! wub.gif Now we just need to cast Ulfe and Lil and we can start shooting Jerric’s Movie. (Oh, and we should also finish the script. tongue.gif )

Or like Hugh Grant and Will Smith; head from strange men dressed like women that they obviously didn't know.

BOLD in quote above = BWAAHAA!!! It does look like Valdi!!!!

He was actually in Age of Ultron. But his performance in the one scene he had so completely overshadowed Ultron that Joss Whedon had to cut the scene. Test audiences were confused, because they assumed Loki was the true villain of the movie and was controlling Ultron all along!

Rent The Help. It's on Netflix has it on dvd. Emma Stone is just adorable, and has a wild mane of curly locks throughout the movie (well, except for one small scene after her mother buys a hair straighter). She is absolutely adorable, with incredibly expressive eyes and a perky grin.

Well, turns out I remember Firefly too well, to the point that I know half the lines laugh.gif

So I bailed on that and started watching the old X-Men cartoons I grew up with, the ones from the early 90s biggrin.gif

Still love Wolverine's line about being bit by a dog in that old X-Men show... laugh.gif

I finally got around to seeing Jurassic World today. It was ok, but I was not really very impressed. It had plenty of eye-candy thanks to the cgi, but it felt really hollow and uninspired. At first I thought it was cool how they used things from the original movie, like the Jurassic Park t-shirt the techie was wearing, and revisiting some of the same locations from the original film, etc... But therein also lies the problem. The whole film seems unoriginal. It is just taking the same old ideas and situations from the earlier films and regurgitating them.

The Ignobious Rex is the only really original thing, and it is just the rule of a sequel put blatantly on screen. Bigger, scarier, more teeth. Something the characters even literally say in the movie. Because just plain old dinosaurs are not interesting anymore. sad.gif

The idea of using Raptors (could we ever see one of the other small theropod species, like Deinonychus or Troodon?) to hunt the Ignoble Rex was new to this series. But it just felt like following the well-plowed fields of the Alien movies. Let's use the monster as a weapon, because naturally we can control it. Sure, that's why we use lions, and tigers, and grizzly bears in modern armies. Oh wait, we don't, because they would just eat their handlers?

In the end it was nice to look at. But felt like a very unoriginal excuse to grab at cash. If they wanted to make a new Jurassic film, I think they should have instead taken the next logical step. Show what happens to the world after the dinosaurs from the second island (that we saw in the 2nd and 3rd movies) get to South America and start spreading. No more parks, but Compies rooting through the garbage in people's back yards, Pterosaurs snatching up unguarded children off the streets, the cattle industry wrangling up Apatosaurs and breeding herds of them in Montana for America's newest fast food craze - Brontoburgers! Not to mention the nastier critters like raptors, deinonychus, troodon, allosaurus, and the numerous breeds of T-Rex wreaking havoc.

Thanks for the review, SubRosa smile.gif

For me it was all in the original Jurassic Park. Just like the original Star Wars movies, the first two Terminator movies and the first Matrix; stop while you´re at the top cause it´s all downhill from there! tongue.gif

Eh, the second I heard about it I knew it wasn't going to be much good. They tried twice to make a sequel to Jurassic Park, and failed miserably on both occasions.

I'm currently watching Vehicle 19. It's kind of meh really, on quite a few levels.

I was quite literally in awe of the dinosaurs in Jurassic I. I deeply resented taking time away from showcasing the dinosaurs by injecting humans and their pissant problems. I would have ever so much preferred a documentary style film with the incredible technology that presented those amazing dinosaurs. Something more along the lines of 'Walking with Dinosaurs'. Silly humans and their silly stories I can see anytime - that's why I would have preferred two hours of nothing but those magnificent critters. kvright.gif

Watching The Raid.

Bloody good film.

These fight scenes are just plain brutal. And a lot of it seems similar to Dredd, or perhaps it's the other way around, I can't be bothered to find out which was made first.

Watched the first episode of The Last Kingdom. The BBC adaptation of Bernard Cornwell's book of the same name (which I only read a few days ago).

The TV version was ok. Covered a large portion of the first book, which made the whole episode feel really rushed and didn't allow for much (if any) character or plot development. It's about what you can expect from a TV adaptation these days - most people seem to be happy with fighting scenes, broken up by a bit of sex, lightly coated with a brief explanation of the overall situation. I'm not sure I'll bother watching episode 2.

Lots of people comparing it to Vikings or Game of Thrones. Don't listen to those people. All three shows are very different.

Just watched Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

There is just so much that I love about this film, I simply don't know where to begin.
