Today, the latest in Cyrodiilic fashion!
Here, we see the robes of the fabled Akatosh Chantry. These signify the high priests of Akatosh, the God of the everlasting, and are a mark of significant power and authority. These replica robes may not contain the power of the Dragon like the real Chantry robes, but they have seen a significant rise in popularity since the conclusion of the Oblivion Crisis. Particularly at festivals.
Ever since the conclusion of the Oblivion Crisis, a number of clothiers have been producing replicas of Daedric garb. This example, the kilt and collar of the feared Xivilai, was painstakingly recreated from samples taken from the Temple plaza at the conclusion of the Battle of the Temple.
Oftentimes, at celebratory festivals and plays, the epic battle of Dagon vs. Akatosh the Redeemer would be played out with Martin/Akatosh wearing the Chantry robes, and Dagon wearing the Xivilai garb. It has proven to be quite successful, and as many more serious playwrights have taken up the task of committing the famous scenes to theater, many say these will become the 'official' costumes for that great battle.
Today's model: Velmenian (really, NOT a Bosmer).
