@SubRosa: I didn’t expect you to show up in the BethSoft forum topic, I was going to warn you about those two when I posted them here. Aravi was actually alone for that screenshot. She was taking a day to herself without anyone else. The edit took me too long to get. Lol. Never actually watched that movie all the way through. Thanks! @Acadian: I’m weird I guess. I won’t be doing more of the first two, even though I really liked them. Thank you, I loved the background in that third screenshot. And of course Aravi. @Grits: Yes, no more! Thank you, I thought that spot was very pretty. I really like that area west of Whiterun. Now which is better, that armor or the barbarian armor? @mALX: I can't look at the other two, already have a splitting headache What an endorsement! Thanks! @Everyone: Glad the third one made up for the disastrous first two! ########################################## Aravi and Kharjo finish Fort Greymoor and then return to the Bannered Mare.TIME: 8:26 This post has been edited by King Coin: Feb 7 2012, 03:14 PM

Hmm, I like both armors very much, and Aravi does have the caped fur armor for cold weather. The barbarian armor offers a little more freedom of movement, like the huntsman outfit she wore in Cyrodiil. Hmm, that’s a tough one! I think I like this one with the vest top best, but only by a slight margin. Maybe Aravi could wear the barbarian one on the volcanic tundra, this one in regular weather, the fur one when it snows... My favorite part of the video was Aravi going in to back up Kharjo with one sword and a healing spell, because her health was still low! Agnis came strolling out like she was not at all surprised to see her boss dead on the floor. What a life she must have. It was nice to get a little remark from Kharjo after they went back outside. In Whiterun Aravi did not seem thrilled to get dragged into Saadia’s mess. All she wanted was a little relaxing time at the Bannered Mare!! Argh. That dress looks so pretty on her. Fun video ending one adventure and possibly starting another!

Funny thing, I just cleared out Fort Greymoor last night. Talk about synergy. Whoa, Kharjo really took care of business against that first bandit! He was dead before Aravi could even change weapons! That was close against the archer. Aravi nearly bought it! Good thing for that two-fisted healing action. Did I see right? A Khajiit passing up a chance to harvest salmon? Aravi is going to get kicked out of the cat club if you are not careful! "Someone do something!" Hey its the old lady. I was waiting for you to meet her. I was never expecting to find bandits with a cleaning lady! I love how she just nonchalantly nibbles on her bread, surrounded by corpses. Oh noe, Aravi found the bear traps the hard way. I was almost yelling at the screen for her to watch out. I guess she could not hear me all the way from Skyrim. I love the torchbugs and the glowing butterflies. Uh oh, who is Saadia, and what is she about to get Aravi into?

I continue to enjoy the rich detail inside these dungeons. Whoa, Agnis was a non-hostile! When I first saw her I just figured she was a bandit mage. Walking right out into the bloody weapons of Aravi and Kharjo nearly cost her life I bet. Good thing Aravi didn’t cut first and ask questions later. And some nasty traps! Thank you for briefly stopping to ponder the night butterflies. They completely mesmerized Buffy and I. I loved the part in the inn! “Kharjo – we’re going to bed! C’mon!” After he comes running, she continues, “Oh, I was only teasing. You stand guard outside the door while I slip out of this armor into a nice little dress.” Then she selects a table for a quiet dinner. Argh! Only to get hit up by another quest giver. The head shake was perfect as she was clearly thinking, 'not again'. Absolutely wonderful, KC!

@mALX: Never knew about this quest? I think it gets triggered after you’ve stayed in Whiterun for a while. I’ve had it trigger after differing lengths of time though. Hope you enjoy! @Grits: She carries all three armors with her, so she’ll change based on mood and climate. I’m glad you liked the healing part. I don’t know who hit her, but they did some serious damage! She definitely didn’t want yet another job, but she just had to mention those warriors she saw… Thanks Grits! @SubRosa: Aravi won’t eat any food left in dungeons of any type, so no salmon. She never ate that horker loaf she took in Bleak Falls. Yeah, I don’t know how she missed those bear traps… I really like the moths and torchbugs out at night, and the butterflies flying around during the day. Much rarer are bees! Thanks SubRosa! @Acadian: They really did an excellent job on the environments in Skyrim. Agnis is a little crazy I think. She could leave at any time she wants with her bosses gone. She didn’t want to however. Aravi wouldn’t tease like that. Thanks! ######################################### Saadia leads Aravi and Kharjo to a room in the Bannered Mare…TIME: 13:02 This post has been edited by King Coin: Feb 10 2012, 02:54 PM

Dear gods, who are you supposed to believe?
Aravi is really quick to react when someone threatens her, I noticed it in the Whiterun Jarl's Palace and now with Saadia. She takes threats seriously, lol. Maxical usually stands there like a dummy ("Huh?") till they drum some sense into her before drawing her weapon, lol.
It was so odd to try and hear her over the bard singing, they really should have some way to dim that singing when you leave the main room, or at least when you are in conversation with someone. (or make it so the one you are talking with is louder than the bard). I had trouble hearing Saadia's words.
Awesome Vid !!!

So Saadia is a noble from Hammerfell, with assassins from back home after her? I thought that the Redguards threw out their Thalmor after the Imperials sold them out though? Her story makes it sound like Hammerfell is still under the Altmer? The helmets on top of the posts at the cave entrance were cool. I like how most of the caves do not have doors in Skyrim. You just walk into the darkness, and then transition to the interior cell. In Oblivion it always struck me as weird that every cave had a door, and apparently all the animals inside were opening and closing it to get in and out. More bandit outlaws I see. That guy took an arrow everywhere but his knee! That was close against that bandit mage! Aravi needs to get more potions for healing in combat. I found that in Skyrim it is a lot more difficult to heal yourself with spells in the middle of combat. You need a big supply of potions or cooked food to heal up in a fight. Sounds like Kematu wants to make a deal. So he says Saadia is the traitor? Interesting. Now who should Aravi trust, since neither has any proof? Maybe she should just kill them both and let Talos sort them out? This post has been edited by SubRosa: Feb 10 2012, 05:29 PM

I’m so glad Aravi straightened that pot. It looked like Vilja the Stomper had been there! I expected an enemy at the shrine, since Kharjo had his ears pinned back. I like how Aravi approached the bandit outside with her arrow pointed down. She gave her every chance to be nice. Arrow through the head, ouch. That big room with all of the bandits is tough. Rowan and Vorstag got slaughtered in there. Whoa, and that mage was right behind Aravi! Yikes. Whom to trust? I'm enjoying this quest with Aravi very much!

I continue to enjoy the rich detail inside these dungeons. Even waterfalls in this one! As far as Aravi's dilemma, her first priority should be keeping her and Kharjo alive, so tell Kematu whatever he wants to hear. Then, when the time and circumstances favor Aravi, kill Kematu. Reason? Simple. He is the one who just had a cave full of lugs try to kill Aravi. He wanted to test Aravi's fighting skills? I would perhaps grant his wish? Of course, on the other hand, it is Saadia who invited Aravi to speak with her then drew down on her. . . . So perhaps the SubRosa solution might be best after all. @mALX: I really hope Maxical learns to be quick (physically and, er… mentally) from Nissy and the other Khajiit! Hmm, I see what you mean about the bard, but that was before the actual dialog started. That was outside the menu. He shut up once the dialog menu came up. Thanks mALX! @SubRosa: I thought Hammerfell was under control of the Thalmor based on her story. Maybe it’s just a few cities? I always thought the doors to caves in Oblivion was weird too. I could see maybe a few bandit lairs having a door, but someone when to every cave and installed a door? Lol! I’m trying to hold off on using healing potions and so far it’s gone fairly well with some very close calls. I’ll use them again as soon as a mod comes out that makes them heal over time instead of instant heal. Just a quirk of mine with Skyrim I guess. Thanks SubRosa! @Grits: You could say straightening that pot was a little experiment. I was wondering if the guards were going to swoop in or if a minor adjustment was permitted. Glad you liked how Aravi approached the first bandit. I quite liked that too. Thanks Grits! @Acadian: I think you’d really enjoy the caves in Skyrim. Many of them feature water in some way. You’ll see how Aravi handles it. Thanks Acadian! ################################## It’s decision time.TIME: 6:07 ################################## This is just a video demonstrating a mod that I’m working on. Basically, it will allow you to put your companions into ‘wander mode’ so that they don’t stand at attention all the time. I still have some work to do in it, but I hope to release it soon. It should work with any follower (except animals) in the game and any modded companion that uses the standard Dialog menu and doesn’t come with its own. TIME: about a min

Very neat mod. Not having them follow you into your bedroom like a stalker is nice! I remember when I first started playing Oblivion, I thought that the silence spell made you quiet, like the muffle spell does in Skyrim. Wow, there is a horde of those Alik'r guys. Smart of Aravi to back into that narrow corridor, where they cannot gang up on her. I wonder if the boss will have any letters on him that prove who's side he is really on? Guess not. Loved her jump down from the ledge at the end! I went digging through the new history books in Skyrim, and came across this one about the Great War. It says that the White-Gold Concordant ceded part of Hammerfell to the Thalmor, but after a 5 year war on their own, the Redguards threw the Altmer out. Most likely Bethesda did not read the books that they wrote themselves. It would not be the first time. This post has been edited by SubRosa: Feb 13 2012, 09:22 PM

Wow. Very smart of Aravi to pick her battlefield where she could back into that narrow corridor. She was awesome! That wall of warriors looked quite creepy and very intimidating. I thought it was neat when Kharjo ran in with his shield up as Aravi healed herself, then backed off again like she had told him. I’m interested to hear what Saadia says when they get back to Whiterun. Oh my gosh, what an ending!! I wish I could explain it, but I thought this video had an especially Aravi feel to it. Things like that extra little moment after she told Kharjo to wait. I am already excited to watch the next one!! Your Wander mod is genius. Kharjo looks like he has a mind of his own in the video. What a great idea!

@SubRosa: I remember thinking the same thing when I started Oblivion with the silence spell! The corridor worked better than I had hoped. Kharjo stayed back mostly and the Alik’r warriors held back. Aravi was able to whittle away at them! The little jump at the end, Aravi likes to prove she’s a Khajiit at times. Thanks! @Grits: If you were able to hear a bow during that video, that was Kharjo shooting around Aravi at the warriors in front of her. Your comment about the ‘feel’ made me very happy. Thank you! @mALX: Aravi made her decision based on the fact that these guys were hanging around in a cave full of criminals. Had they been at an inn somewhere, or just in a cave of their own, she would have had a very tough time figuring out who to believe. She’s never been compltely comfortable with her decision here and sometimes wonders if she made the wrong choice. Thanks mALX! @Acadian: She did the best she could with the limited time she had to make the choice. There were a lot of warriors in there and she knew she would not be able to take them then and there, so she looked for an advantage and found it right away. She had to tell Kharjo to hang back. He’s usually level headed about his fights, but even he can sometimes take risks Aravi doesn’t like. So she took those risks instead. Thanks! ################################# Again, it’s decision time.TIME: 9:57
