@SubRosa: They don’t really have female and male quarters. Men just sleep on one half of the room, the women sleep on the other half.

First person kill cams are not new with 1.5. I made that video at the beginning of February.

I actually got a mod that gives all followers the ‘light step’ perk or whatever it’s called. It’s not in the videos yet, but it’s coming.

She didn’t go to the temple for a couple of reasons. In general she isn’t close to the Nine or any of the Daedra. Second, I pretend that you have to gain favor with one of the Divines before they’ll grant you a blessing. If it was a temple of Mara, Aravi could have gotten a blessing because of what she did in Dawnstar.

Lord Stone has been a favorite. I think if Aravi stumbles over the Atronach Stone she might take that one. Thanks SubRosa!

@Grits: Well, your reaction to the video was definitely what I was looking for! laugh.gif

Traveling to Skyrim did slow the disease quite a bit, her body’s kept ahead of is on its own. That encounter with the vampires woke it up though. Thanks Grits!

@Acadian: Even her cat vision can’t pierce some of those dark corners. The light spell is wonderful for that! I love Kharjo’s comment when he’s healed. Some of the other characters say funny things too.

She tried to escape the nightmares, but I suppose that really isn’t something you can run from is it? Thanks Acadian!

@mALX: You could say that Aravi felt something while she was on the road that drew her to the lair.

I really like the way vampirism is handled in Skyrim better than Oblivion. That strange thirst was an awesome indicator. Of course Aravi wasn’t sure what it was. Thanks mALX!

After spending a day on her own, Aravi returns to Whiterun and decides to accept another job from the Companions.

I loved her coming home and finding Kharjo cooking !! That was Awesome !!! Also loved seeing Farkas again. This mission with Farkas was my fave quest in the game, wished he could have been my 'Shield Brother' throughout, lol. Awesome vid, short but sweet !!!

The first minute and a half of this was simply glorious! What a beautiful day of roaming Aravi’s Skyrim! happy.gif

The animations of Kharjo cooking were very neat. How his eyes followed Aravi, stirring the pot, tapping the spoon against the pot. I was very nervous when she lingered over the ‘Adios amigo’ talk option! ohmy.gif

So, she’ll be traveling with Farkas for this quest. I like him. He doesn’t seem too smart, but he looks like he can break heads. viking.gif

What a beautiful spot to start the video. Fun to see the mammoths and a distant dragon on her way back to town. Some very Skyrim sights. happy.gif

Oh, Kharjo was making dinner!! I love that he has a life of his own while Aravi is busy. Aravi had me very nervous, thinking about letting him go.

Skjor was funny saying that Farkas would answer any questions. Right. Just don’t make him do any math. How fun that Farkas is wearing the wolf armor! I like that on him much better than the steel.

I’m looking forward to the mission! smile.gif

I agree with the others. That was a beautiful spot that Aravi started in. Well worth taking the time to drink in the view.

Looks like a giant camp up ahead there. They must be cold-blooded, because they always have a gigantic bonfire going.

And back to Whiterun. That is always a great place to look at the stars. I hope Kharjo was cooking up some good tuna stew.

So Aravi might become A True Companion? I am sure Kharjo would like that. They might even go Walking In Memphis together. wink.gif

@mALX: This is about when I made my followers can relax mod. I’m glad he went ahead and cooked something for them to eat. I’m sure even the cranky Lydia got a bowl. Lol. Thanks mALX!

@Acadian: Aravi had a long day to herself, you just saw the tail end of it there. She got out on her own and just lost herself for a time. smile.gif You’ve got Farkas pegged! Thanks Acadian!

@Grits: I very much liked that spot by the waterfall. I think I showed some screen shots of her there a while ago. Aravi considered telling him to leave, but she changed her mind there. Whew! Thanks Grits!

@SubRosa: Those giants just got done smashing a few bandits before I started the video. Aravi stayed out of the way and collected a few valuables. Haha Thanks for the music. I think Aravi is still waiting before she gets any closer to Kharjo. Thanks SubRosa!

#####################

Some screens today. Aravi’s been in the Solitude area recently. I’m also trying a lighting mod that I’ve been enjoying quite a bit. The only down side is that it has a small performance hit, and when Fraps is recording, performance can become an issue.

I remember the Solitude at Night pic from the other forum. I love that bright spot of light under the moon.

Pic #1 is very red, from firelight now doubt. I love the look it puts on Kharjo's face though. Like a grinning lion.

Love the Solitude at night one. smile.gif

All three at the Winking Skeever are neat as can be. That looks like the Kharjster is wearing a cape in number 2!

Solitude at Night is beautiful! I love the way the buildings look. Is Aravi wearing a cape?

Oh, and a cape for Kharjo! He looks especially awesome in 1. I love the way the light looks on his shield and armor. Aravi looks pensive and lovely, like she’s staring into a fire.

These are great! smile.gif

@SubRosa: Thanks SubRosa! I really like the lighting in the game now. Dungeons are quite dark along with the nights. Makes screenshots more difficult to take though!

@Acadian: Thanks! Kharjo is wearing a red cape. It looks very good with the blades armor.

@Grits: Thanks Grits! I really like the way that mod makes everything look. Aravi has a green cape.

Aravi is stepping out on Kharjo! ohmy.gif And with a tailless round-ear no less! nono.gif I am just kidding, I know you do not have a choice for this quest.

"He came from the ancient homeland and killed all the elves."
Wow, nice guy... wink.gif

Is it just me, or does it seem that most of the Companions are afraid of soap and water?

So Farkas got wolfy. It sounds strange to hear his normal voice coming out of that werewolf body.

"I hope I didn't scare you."
To be honest, I think he looks more scary as a human, then as a werewolf. I am just glad we cannot smell the things in the game...

Uh Farkas, I think Aravi was already born with beast blood...

Silver Bloods and Crips too. That tomb is a popular place,

Wow, no one lasts more than a few seconds against those twin swords of Aravi.

Eww, big spider. I agree with Aravi, let Farkas go first!

That scroll was pretty handy. What is the enchantment Aravi has on her sword, that leaves the green glow on her victims? Is it a Drain Stamina?

First, I LOVE Farkas's voice - and this quest dungeon was my fave so far in game.

Wow, what a hit Aravi made with her blade on that skeleton !!

OMG, what an excellent job you did on the scene where Farkas transforms !! It was the exact same thing Maxical did in there, trying to get the lever back open, then running to the front wanting to help - then backing off like, wha?????

AWESOME JOB !!!

I find it really odd that their voices are exactly the same in wolf form, ROFL !!!

Man is Aravi ever getting tough with those blades!!! I always loved Farkas's reaction to being healed.

Oh crap! First beheading I've seen like that in Skyrim !!! That was worthy of Fallout 3 !!!

LOVED how Aravi hid behind Farkas for the spider, that was AWESOME !!! ROFL !!!

Holy crap is Aravi good with those blades! It is an Awesome spectacle to see her in action !!!

This was one of the most exciting dungeons in the game for me, all the way through, but that end - it seemed too easy at first, and I was right - it was. Next thing I knew the walls were seeping Draugr and I was freaking like a maniac trying to get them all, keep healed, heal Farkas, and watch his back - Awesome dungeon - totally Awesome vid, maybe the best so far in Skyrim !!!!!!!!!

I like Farkas’ voice also. That was quite a surprise when he turned into a werewolf! And like mALX said, it was very ‘Aravi’ of her to let Farkas take on the *ugh* giant spider. I was wondering if those coffin/crypt dwellers were every going to stop appearing – there were loads of them!

Aravi was wonderful with her dual blades, as was Farkas with that claymore.

I love this quest with Farkas. He says some things that for him are really sweet.

Aravi’s reaction to Farkas’ surprise was perfect. I thought she might be considering heading for the exit when he let her out of the cage. There are some really scary noises in this dungeon. Did you add those? Very, very creepy!!

Oh, nice double decapitation! It looked like Farkas got his blade in there, too. biggrin.gif I smiled when Aravi scooted back behind Farkas when she saw the spider and then gave them an extra arrow at the end. I guess between a werewolf and a spider we know which one she’s more worried about!

All those coffins in ready position are never a good sign! It was fun to watch Aravi with her superfast blades and Farkas with his big smashing one. Farkas did not enjoy those scrolls, but they were great! Note to self: Remember. Scrolls.

Aravi really shone here. I enjoyed this video so much! smile.gif

@mALX: The Winking Skeever screens were my favorite. I love the lighting in there. smile.gif

I’m glad I showed Aravi’s reaction to Farkas’ surprise well. I couldn’t tell if that line of dialog was supposed to happen or not while in wolf form. I found it odd too. Aravi surprised herself when she cut that guy’s head off. Aravi was more than a match for the draugr that appeared at the end there. Thank you mALX!

@SubRosa: Yep, she’s gotta take Farkas along with her this time. Aravi definitely finds him scarier as a wolf. That’s something she’s never seen before. Otherwise, he’s just a typical Nord. Beast blood? Aravi doesn’t consider herself to be a beast. Aravi’s sword absorbs stamina. It’s kind of a weak enchantment because she’s not very good at enchanting. Thank you SubRosa!

@Acadian: That dungeon was full of surprises. Farkas going furry, Silverhands, and then Aravi almost ran right into the mandibles of a huge spider. blink.gif I thought the final battle with the draugr was fun, though Aravi probably didn’t enjoy it. She went through them easily though. Thank you Acadian!

@Grits: Farkas has got to be my second favorite Nord ever! He makes me think of Jerric. She was more thinking about killing Farkas! He started talking right away though, so that saved him. The noises are from a mod. I find them to be over the top really, but the other dungeons are much better done so I keep it. The decapitation was a neat surprise, I kind of forgot Aravi earned that perk. Scrolls in Oblivion were kind of useless, but I love them in Skyrim. Just need to remember them! Thank you Grits!

############################

Aravi is accepted into the Companions, however, she soon leaves for the Rift to find Esbern.

That scene where you are welcomed into the Companions and clearing that dungeon with Farkas were my two favorite places in the game so far. I was so excited about joining the Companions then, loved the ceremony.

What a weird fight with that Orc, that freaked me out! Awesome Vid !!

Aravi is making me nostalgic for the Companions. What a neat ceremony. I like the part where Farkas says, “I would stand at her back, that the world might never overtake us.” He was funny talking to Kodlak. “Big swords should always beat little swords.” Uh, did you not see your Shield Sister dicing draugr with her little swords back there?! tongue.gif

How awesome to see Kharjo relaxing while he waited. Aravi already has a warrior guarding her back. smile.gif

That was a fun fight with the orc. Very kind of Aravi to not make it fatal. I did giggle when Kharjo got one last shield bash in before he calmed down. Good grief, Atahbah made me jump! Where did she come from?! She’s lucky she didn’t also get some Aravi fist!

Oh crap, the orc is back! Ugh, and then spiders. It was not a friendly day on the road to Riften.

What a nice view of Aravi and Kharjo at Nilheim. This video really showed that Skyrim is a dangerous place, and it’s good to have a friend.

Neat ceremony. Now Aravi is a True Companion, even if Marc Cohn was not there to sing at the ceremony wink.gif

Big swords and little swords? Were they talking about weapons, or their privates? biggrin.gif

Yay, there is Kharjo again! Aravi is taking him somewhere warm, I trust?

Yes, that is warmer, except for the welcome. Calling a cat a milk-drinker? Well I would say that is a big duh! Uh oh, Aravi got a bounty from that. Wow, she is really smacking the crap out of that orc! Very clever use of a calm spell there, to keep it from becoming fatal. I never thought of using it to beat people up, then let them go. goodjob.gif

The damn fool came back for more! Well, he deserved what he got then. Darwinism works in Skyrim just as it does here IRL.

Ugh, spiders. I prefer to kill those things from as far away as possible too. Nothing needs that many legs, or eyes...

A wonderful view of Aravi there on the tower by the lake!
