The Silver Hand. Now there is a group of psychos that you do not need to be a werewolf to enjoy killing. I remember when Hrafn first came along them in their place southeast of Dawnstar. They make the Thalmor look civilized by comparison. Looks like Aravi and Aela's archery took care of business in the courtyard.

A good use of that Fear spell, combined with what I imagine was an arrow in the back from Aela. I never like using Fear spells in ES games, because it means you have to chase after the monsters to kill them. I got enough of that with necromancers in Oblivion, without using a spell. But when you have someone like Aela to shoot them down, I can see how useful it can be.

Oh, take that Charred Skeever Hide. It has a Cure Disease effect. Oh, I guess Aravi does not have to worry about that anymore. smile.gif

They kill werewolves but keep skeevers as pets? What a bunch of loons!

Uh oh, there is one of those spike wall traps up ahead. I wonder if Aravi can lure the Silvers into setting it off? I love doing that. Oh too bad, they did not set it off when they ran past. sad.gif

Neat, I see your cloak mod puts them on the NPCs as well.

Am I the only one who saw "Beast Form" and thought "Breast Form"? laugh.gif

They certainly do the werewolf transformation well. That was cool when she threw that guy across the room! The sepia tone it turns the screen might get old though.

I looked up silver weapons in the wiki a few days ago, and it turns out they do an extra 20 points of damage to vampires, werewolves, and undead. And you can still enchant them on top of that! So they are pretty impressive.

Oh yummy, eating guts. wacko.gif

Looks like Skjor did not make it.

Now I wonder if Aravi is having second thoughts? Was becoming a werewolf any better than a vampire?

It was neat seeing Aravi use a blade in one hand and spell in the other – a fun change. smile.gif

As a fan of illusion, I like a short duration fear spell - the perfect chaser for a poisoned arrow. It can send a melee brute scrambling away just long enough to poison another arrow and draw your bow in time for him lumber back for a wash rinse and repeat.

Yikes! The feeding habits of werewolves look. . . messier than those of vampires. ohmy.gif

Again, I’m so pleased that you are showing us how werewolves work! Aravi was doing some serious (Silver) Hand slapping. I take comfort in suspecting that she will somehow find the path to move beyond the way of the dog.

What an awesome fling of the Skinner guy! Whoa, Aravi seems to have embraced her beast self, but not without a cost. She did not seem happy to see those bodies she fed on.

I couldn't have said it better. To me these were the two biggest impressions in this film. Aravi was Awesome as a beast, but the cost to her emotionally and mentally was evident at the end of the vid.

Awesome Vid !!!

@Grits: I wouldn’t say Aravi embraced her beast self, it just kind of took over. She has very little control when she is a beast. She was very sick after she changed back; she threw up all the meat the beast ate. Thanks Grits!

@SubRosa: I actually prefer the fear spell over the calm spell in Skyrim, it wears out fairly quickly and they come charging back into battle. Aela did well putting an arrow into that one’s back though.

Thanks for the tip on the Skeever hide. Hawk feathers are kind of like Oblivion’s mandrake root.

Aravi has some silver swords back at Breezehome. I knew they were good against undead, but I didn’t know they were that good. I tried to use a blacksmithing mod to make them upgradeable, but I couldn’t get the whole mod to work, so I just kept the weapons in storage. I can guarantee that Aravi is having second thoughts. She didn’t imagine eating people. Thanks SubRosa!

@Acadian: Fear is good for thinning crowds too as you saw Aravi use it. It is fun to use a combination of spells and weapons. Aravi generally prefers using her swords though. With hotkeying, I’m sure you could keep someone going back and forth with a bow and spell.

When the werewolf fed, that wasn’t Aravi’s decision. That was all beast. You are right that she will be looking for a way out of this as well. Thanks Acadian!

@mALX: You are totally right about the cost. She took a risk and she knew it when she chose to accept the beast blood. She has very little control when she turns into a beast. She remembers vividly what she did as a beast, as well as the emotions she was experiencing as a beast. She enjoyed eating her prey as a beast, but it completely sickens her as a Khajiit. Thanks mALX!

These are more screen shots of Aravi’s northern expeditions.

Aravi, alone in the tundra, warming up after a day of hunting.

Another expedition, this time onto the ice sheets to find something. She took Kharjo along.

My favorite is the one called "One" - I picture her getting off on an icesheet in the middle of the Sea of Ghosts to come to grips with the werebeast in her.

All are Awesome shots !!

What wonderful screens. They so capture Aravi in a contemplative mode out on the tundra and ice fields. Thanks for sharing! tongue.gif

These are beautiful. I love the way the snow looks blurry in the first one. That has to be my favorite, even though I’m a sucker for the ones with Kharjo just being a friend. What great timing for some quiet screens. smile.gif

@SubRosa: My favorite thing about that pic is the Sea of Ghosts behind her and the sky. Thanks!

@mALX: These pictures are nice and peaceful, if chilly. They do fit in well after the werewolf like you said. Thanks!

@Acadian: It fits what she’s going through now, even though this is significantly farther along in game from where we are now in the videos. Thanks!

@Grits: I really enjoy that first one as well. I can feel the solitude. She was the only soul for miles around just trying to keep warm. Thanks!

Uh oh, when Aravi shouted at the end it showed someone other than Kharjo walking around !!! Urk !!!

This next one was something else! That dragon had a name! And that cave was URK! I was surprised there weren't more enemies in it though! Something tells me now that she grabbed the axe the place will go on red alert, lol.

Awesome Vids !!!

Back to even up the score with Evel Kneval! Excellent. There is nothing that tastes so sweet as vengeance upon a foe you were forced to retreat from earlier. I see he is still injured from their last fight too. That is interesting. I thought he would have healed up. I guess since the cell has not reset, that even the health of the surviving monsters did not as well.

Clever use of Bane of the Undead there. Especially since Kharjo was there to keep the baddies occupied while Aravi cast it. And Aravi made typical short work of that fetcher after that! I cannot believe how fast she can hit with those two swords.

That Frost Astronaut by the word wall must be a summoning. I think it expired just before Aravi shot at it. That means there must be a Draugr summoner back there.

That guy was the Boeithah cultist. That must make Aravi what, level 30? I think he is scripted to show up right after you level up. I never saw that finishing move that Aravi used on him. Kind of odd looking, even for the hollywood style fighting in this game.

Oh look, another Cliffracer dragon. I think having those things constantly appearing would drive me nuts. This one has a name at least. So it must have come out of a lair, rather than being a randomly spawning one. I think they should have just stuck with those named ones, and left the fully random ones out of the game.

I have never understood why the dragons land after you get them down to half their health. Wouldn't it make more sense for them to simply fly away to lick their wounds?

Stormcloaks on the road? I wonder what made them react so hostile? They never do that in my games.

Whew, a one hit kill on that flame astronaut. Aravi has certainly come a long way!

I was half-expecting to see the kill cam of Aravi slitting Lort's throat from behind. Not that he lasted much longer as it was!

Wow, Aravi has excellent aim with her fire breath! That was very good timing with the frost atronach vanishing. He looked pretty scary up there. Nice, Aura Whisper is such a useful thu’um. Eep, what was that thing creeping around!! laugh.gif That was a horror movie moment.

The Boethiah cultist showed some poor judgment. That finishing move looks like it would be great against someone in heavy armor. Right down the neck. No surprise that Aravi was not interested in yet another daedric prince’s errands. kvleft.gif

I love the way the dragons look on the ground. The way they walk on their wing knuckles looks quite sinister to me. With no front arms to pick up their prey, I think they sometimes land so they can use their jaws for a personal touch. blink.gif

That Stormcloak lady was quite rude. For a second I thought Kharjo was going to attack her.

Nice staff! I remember Stenvar thoroughly icing Jensa with one of those. They had words. Luckily she is a Nord and had the Atronach Stone.

Plenty of adventure on the way to get that axe. These were a lot of fun!

Aravi’s been a busy cat! Nice to see her return and vanquish that foe. Was that a detect life effect she cast (or shouted?) near the end of the first vid?

A nice peaceful day of adventuring in the second vid. Well, except for the cultists, dragons, rude travelers, etc. She got the axe!

@mALX: At the end of the first one, that was just another draugr that Aravi killed in mere seconds. The cave was surprisingly small. That’s why I was thinking of just skipping that video. Nothing else happens after she grabs the ax; I just kind of ended it abruptly. Oops. Not my best video. Thanks mALX!

@SubRosa: Evel Kneval went much better with Kharjo around! biggrin.gif I thought he’d have healed up too, that was a surprise. The dual power attack unleashes the flurry of strikes like that, Aravi’s supposed to be quick!

I don’t know what a cliff racer is like, but the dragons make for some fun fights, as long as they don’t die too quickly. I had to install a mod to make them tougher.

I don’t know why, but all the Cloaks react like that to Aravi. She didn’t join the Imperials or anything. Thanks SubRosa!

@Grits: I must say, Aravi hasn’t used the Aura Whisper Thuum very much. She is generally thinking of offense when she thinks of using a Thuum. She has used it on occasion to good effect though. smile.gif

A quick look at the book on the cultist made Aravi none too excited to meet this Daedra.

One of these days Aravi is going to treat those Cloaks the same way that Orc was. They were lucky she wasn’t in a poor mood.

I believe Kharjo has quite a bit of fun with the staff. biggrin.gif Thanks Grits!

@Acadian: It was a detect life Thuum. smile.gif A peaceful day indeed! laugh.gif She got the axe, so that’s one Daedric errand done. Thanks Acadian!

I had this done a few months ago, but it seems appropriate to share now with all the sceenshots of the cold tundra.

It was done by the same artist as the other Aravi picture. Her DA profile

Adorable pic. Cats being all cuddly never fails. smile.gif

Cliffracers are probably the most hated enemy in Morrowind. Not because they were dangerous. They were just all over the place. There were some areas on the map where you literally could not walk ten feet without being attacked by one. I'm not exaggerating. After a while, it becomes incredibly annoying. That is why there are tons of Morrowind mods that remove cliffracers from the game.

Random dragons seem to be the same, especially after the main quest is over, they keep popping up and attacking people. It is one of the bigger complaints I see about the game. That and the dragons are too weak (especially Alduin).
