QUOTE(SubRosa @ Oct 21 2012, 11:08 PM) Jihl could just as easily been swept up by such a rift and transported through time and space. Whether under the guidance by the clawed hand of a deity, or just by random chance, who is to say?
Ooh that makes sense. Currently all we know is that a mage in the guild had a vision of an event in Skyrim that only Jihl could stop. Jihl then decided to be magically frozen and awoken on the year the crisis was set to happen.

*Basically the opening tutorial. although for RP purposes I pretended that Jihl traversed through the cavern alone.
Yes, I did kinda the same thing with my Skank. Ran thru the entire tutorial with the sound of my TV turned down until I got to a certain spot in Helgen Keep. Stopped the game, waited a few weeks (Earth weeks) and then started her game from Helgen Keep. It indeed felt as if she never went through the whole execution/dragon part.

Hehe, I am finally going back to getting my PS3 fixed next week! At long last! But I found some old RP posts of Kraven and his escapes in Skyrim, and before the whole Forsworn problem, he faced death in the cold wilderness near Winterhold, on a path to a Dwemer Ruin. This was an ingame life and death situation where his health was low and there were no potions! Yes, he’s stubborn as some of you may know, and he refused to use magicka. New adventures shall be posted once he’s back on his feet. I like to mix gameplay with roleplaying. Maybe to the extreme Lifetimes ago he was a man. A human. Lifetimes ago he had friends, brothers-in-arms, an occupation; lifetimes ago he had things to hate, and people to cherish and a wife to love. These times, however, he has none of these. Instead, he has a purpose. It grew into him. It birthed within him. He is made to chase. His face is contorted with pain; decorated with snow and blood. Agony reflected in his animalistic eyes painted with liquid flame. But even under these circumstances, he could not afford to give up his purpose. He is made to hunt. For days now, he didn’t eat, game was scarce in these areas, and he had no time to chase down goats. He could not sleep, he suffers from insomnia. His enhanced hearing prevents him from having a good night's rest. Additionally, everyone wants to kill him. Times have changed since the Third Era; they’re more perilous. More violent. And he knows his time to live is short. His wife had lost her life at the blades and arrows of the evil doers of the Vigilantes of Stendarr, thus he had nothing else to live for. The supernatural reflexes, the speed of a wolf, the strength of a minotaur is all meaningless when the pain builds up. Lack of food and water, the absence of sleep or warmth had taken it’s toll and yet. . . he could not slow down. Not with the sad excuses for hunters pursuing him, not with the arrow lodged onto his side and his back. His heart was beating faster now, his health dwindling away by the minutes. The freezing wind stinging his sun-kissed skin, taking icy bites from his body. He cursed himself a fool for not bringing warm clothes. Perhaps he could take it from the bodies of his pursuers, should he survive. He must survive! Surely a man who has seen it all, been through it all, visited the planes of this realm and the next could live through a simple bandit attack? But could he? How far does the will to hunt go? The pain increased, and he felt an arrow speed past him to imbed itself into the snow, he could hear the bold insults from the bandits behind him. He could go back and fight, yes, but that would be unwise. One more arrow into his flesh would surely be the death of him. He slowed down, breathing heavily now as he reached the edge of a Cliffside, below him a Dwemer ruin that was constructed over a millennia ago. But the climb was deep, and the pass treacherous. Death was all around. And in this moment, besides the will to hunt and survive, his thoughts went to paradise beyond this realm. It is common knowledge now that Nords go to Sovngarde upon death, but he knew better. He knew that the price for a blissful eternity in the afterlife came with a price—but he was no Nord. Not in the slightest nature. Neither was he a man. He resembled one. But that was it. A resemblance. A sham. “Living as beasts draws our soul closer to the Daedric Lord Hircine,” he was told once. And knew this ever since he had been whisked away, to the Hunting Grounds, centuries ago before the Bloodmoon. The land he remembered as live as Tamriel! The largest forests he could ever lay eyes upon, the vast savannah, the bloody tributaries and deep canyons. But what would change if he ventured there for the last and final time? Nords go to Sovngarde if they are valient in combat, and die a brave glorious death. But what about hin? Living as a Lycanthrope alone could not grant him a role of a hunter in the realm of hunters. Not if the final moments of his life in Nirn was fleeing for his life. He had to act, now. He looked down at the edge of the cliff below, knowing that if he jumped, he would lose his life. And behind him the bandits were closing in, to rob him of all possessions, albeit insignificant, he had. Either case, he would die . . .unless he called upon the inner power of the wolf. It may not have been the full moon, but he could summon his true form. Ifhe dies, at least he will die a hunter. And once again, be reunited with his lost love. He had to survive and to hunt. And that's all a werewolf could do. This post has been edited by Darkness Eternal: Oct 25 2012, 12:34 AM

And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed. I long for scenes where man hath never trod A place where woman never smiled or wept There to abide with my Creator, God, And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept, Untroubling and untroubled where I lie The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”

Very cool. What was wrong with it? My PS3 is 4 years old and still works flawless, but I worry sometimes. She has been here before, the place would be full of bandits. Pinewatch is an elaborate bandit hideout. She easily takes care of the first one (a bandit who stays up in the cottage itself, as a sort of guard), makes herself at home, and has some dinner, not caring at all that the bandit she just killed stares up at her with unseeing eyes. Serves him right. As Miss Skank settles in for the night, she notices somebody else has been living here, apparently. She finds trinkets and jewels on the dresser upstairs, and a few unordinary weapons (better than an everyday bandit would carry). Whoever this person is, he apparently has some power. One of my other characters, The Mighty Khahkhayre, has been staying more often at Pinewatch, while Skank prefers Embershard Mine. Khahkhayre has been decorating the place to some extent (for a man) and Skank is noticing this---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9:06 pmHours later, and Miss Skank creeps deeper and deeper into Pinewatch's underground tunnels and rooms. When she first came to Skyrim, she was an unsophisticated practitioneer of magic and stealth; at the mercy of so many things. Now, she has been becoming a virtual death machine, very difficult for enemies to take notice of. "Gonna start keeping a knife in my boot", says an orc, somewhere close. "Tired of gettin' disarmed". Skank is in a room full of three dead bandits which just fell to her. She re-animates one of them, and sneaks closer forwards, trying to decide how she's going to take care of this orc. The zombie bandit would most-likely do the bulk of the work...and then she can probably handle things from there. "UUUUUUUhhhuuuuhhhhh" says the zombie. Skank is momentarily annoyed. She casts a spell that makes her feet move more quietly as she sneaks. If only she could somehow write a spell which would shut the zombie up! She throws a frost rune onto the ground. "Go to the College he said, use your smarts.... what was that?" Skank can now see the orc, which is brandishing a huge battleaxe or warhammer. She knows she's only got a few seconds before she is discovered. "Time to end this little game!" the orc now spots her, and starts to make a rush. She panics! Turns around, but the passageway is narrow, and the zombie blocks her path! "NO!" The orc gets a couple swings upon her back while she struggles to get paast her re-animated friend! And then FINALLY she does it! Squeezes by the zombie (who was squeezing in the opposite direction!). Runs down the passage, jumps over small wooden partition, and hunkers down in sneak-position. 9:39 PM"HAA!" *clink!* "Yoou must diie!" "I'll find you." That last voice belongs to the orc. He apparently had killed his old bandit-friend. Skank sneaks back towards the far-end of the room she is in, waiting to see if the orc will make it in this far with his attempts at searching. "Can't hide from me!" When Khakhayre discovered and raided Pinewatch, he was a nooby Level 2 or 3 weakling, I believe. Pinewatch was a cakewalk for him; the bandits weren't nearly as tough for his game as they are with Skank's. Skankee Krahk-ho faces Bandit Thugs and Marauders, while Khahkhayre faced mostly ordinary Bandits.10:03 pm"You can't hide from me!" the orc repeats "Well, you are not doing so well finding me, are you?" Skank whispers. "You won't get away", the orc promises. The orc is persistent, though, and keeps his promise. After a few more minutes, he comes running down the passageway, tripping the frost rune Miss Skank left for him. CRRRIIIISH!!! She is momentarily surprised, readies her Fear spell, but the orc stops just short of where she is. She is literally standing in the middle of the room, right in front of him, but he cannot see her. Skank knows how to "play dead". This is how I see her, now that she's becoming a really good at sneaking. As the orc turns away, she now readies her Ice Storm spell. She is not sure how much health the orc has left, but it's worth a try. The orc seems as if he'll just walk away (as most bandits do after a few minutes of searching) but then changes his mind and steps right in front of Miss Skank. WOOOOSH!! she hits him in the face with an ice storm. "Ha! Found you!" He takes a swing and misses, her reflexes are just too fast. "No one bests an orc!" Skank runs into the far-end of the room again. "But I am not 'no one', stupid orc!" Skank blasts him with FEAR , wondering if her spell is powerful enough. It is. "Mercy!" the orc runs off. Skank waits a few minutes, trying to decide which spell she should use next. She is about to re-animate one of the dead, but changes her mind when she hears the orc off in another room, speaking calmly to himself again. "Mead mead mead..can't we get any beer in this stinking hole?" Skank cannot believe her luck. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 10:25 pm: She sneaks up on the orc, preparing her daggar with some poison which will make the orc more susceptible to her magics. She hopes the orc is still weak, and that the dagger strike will go un-noticed. But if she is discovered, at least the poison will help her once she decides to throw some Destruction at him. "...poison his meat. See how he likes that". With a single movement, MIss Skank grabs the orc with one hand, slicing his neck with the other (Kill cam!) She smiles then, as the orc falls to the ground, finally taken. "No more shall you ramble and roam, my friend". As Skankee sneaks forward once more, she hopes to find someone more nubile and pliable than a big, stinking orc. Someone she can get close to. For a few hours. Glad you’ll soon be playing again, DE! I look forward to more tales of Kraven. That’s neat that Skank and Khakhayre inhabit the same Skyrim, Renee. I spent some time checking in with my old PS3 characters. Here’s how I left them. Allek the Breton is home in Riften with Marcurio. He is retired unless some new content comes to the PS3 that requires E-vil or at least amoral behavior. Rowan Varrus and Vorstag are relaxing on the porch at Proudspire Manor. I expect they will still occasionally go on an adventure or two. Rowan is getting fed up with the abuse they get from roaming Stormcloak patrols. Rowan is an Imperial. She is the only character I have who has been chased out of Stormcloak encampments. She is pretty close to enlisting with the Legion. Dammit. Denelle the archer/illusionist is still pining after her boon companion Erik, who would apparently not know an Amulet of Mara if you choked him with it. I think she should hang out more with Argis, but she keeps leaving him at home. I found Denelle and Erik on their way back to Markarth from some long-forgotten quest. When they got home Denelle did some shopping and organized her book collection. I think she’s happy staying clean and dry for the moment. Jensa is frustrated. She’s supposed to find a very rare book. Here is a picture of Jensa and the brains of the operation, Stenvar. I guess I don’t need to say that they haven’t found it yet. So Jensa is about to go crack some skulls on behalf of a priest of Mara. She is much better with the skull-cracking than the library business. Big D is still off on his fishing trip with Erik the Slayer. D and Sylgja recently got married and moved to Honeyside in Riften, so I guess it’s kind of a honeymoon trip. Big D is an orc who was raised in a stronghold. There’s a lot he doesn’t know about human customs, like who is supposed to go on the honeymoon. Apparently Rorikstead is behind on their etiquette as well, or maybe Erik just likes fishing. I am most excited about Skyrim Jerric’s game. It was wrecked after one of the patches, but I kept a save. This time I was very patient and walked him around a bunch of places, even though it was very choppy. It got better. Yay! Skyrim Jerric lives!

Rowan's getting the same treatment Aravi is. You've gotta piss Aravi off quite a bit for her to prefer seeing Thalmor over you. They haven't tried to kill her in a while and only sneer at her on the road instead of drawing weapons. @ Jensa and Big D ###### Aravi's heading home to Riften. She has a sinking feeling, her beloved city isn't just run by the incompetent now, but the criminal.

That's a good idea, Grits, think I'll join in. Here are all my PCs in Skyrim...so far.... Blade 'n' Bone (Nord fighter) was created on 11/11/11, but he died 2 days later (Earth days, not game days). I don't remember how, but back in those days I was obsessed with just exploring the Riverwood / Whiterun area, so he probably got killed by a group of bandits or an early sabercat Thor a'Zaene: (Nord fighter #2) lasted about an Earth month. He also lived mostly in the Whiterun / Riverwood area, but was also starting to branch out into Forsworn territory. He was killed by a very tough draugr warlord....I forget where it happened. Dyami the Scout (Redgaurd hunter) arrived in Riverwood. I never continued his game from there. He was supposed to be based on an American indian who would be more of a pacifist, and my original plan was to explore Skyrim with him. Unfortunately, all my other characters have been managing this. Claire Voyance: (Breton cleric) was my first non-DiD. She finished the College questline (I had no idea how short it would be!) even though I hadn't intended for this to happen. Although she never died, her partner Brelyna did. Brel and Claire were both married. After Brel died, I just didn't have the heart to continue Claire's game alone. I probably will make a Claire Voyance 2 at some point. Crystal Beth (Altmer mage) also was involved with the College. She bought Proudspire Manor, and later retired there. Gunter, Son of Talos (Nord fighter) "finished" the Companions questline, but was killed. He would have been my first character to buy property in the Falkreath area (Heartfire). I started a Gunter II, but he also died. The Mighty Khahkhayre (Dunmer spellsword) lives in Pinewatch. He was involved with the College, but never became Arch Mage, which is fine. He's got tons of gold, and not much to spend it on. After the dissolution of his marriage to Jenassa, Khahkhayre has lost interest in adventuring for the moment (he's also become somewhat of an "uber" character. I get bored quickly with ubers, but there's a chance Khahkhayre might return for some cameo appearances). Skankee Krahk-ho: (Dunmer conjurer) lives in Embershard Mine, and (of course) is still actively exploring Skyrim. She's a weird one, in the sense that she has no desire to help anyone, or to have a follower/companion. I like to play my Skyrim games "passively". I would love it if Skank became a vampire, and somehow wound up meeting Serana, but so far neither of these things have happened. That's all my PCs, I think This post has been edited by Lady Saga: Oct 27 2012, 04:40 PM

Wow, where did I last leave most of my Skyrim characters? Scylla is standing in Riften with Illia, trying to figure out which of the umpteen quests in her journal to do next. Aradia was left in Whiterun, after rescuing Thorold Greymane from the diabolical clutches of the ThalmorPrimrose is still having dinner at the Dawnstar InnHrafngoelir and Ralof are taking a well-deserved break after liberating Skyrim from the tyranny of the Empire. Tanit is still admiring her new outfit in the Blue Palace. Babd is reminding the Companions that they are wimps somewhere in the northern part of Skyrim Kachina was last roaming the wilds of The Rift and Falkreath. Hera is enjoying the peace and quiet of her new Riverwood home. Ancasta is still not sure about all this college business... Andraste was last seen roaming around in the very south east of Skyrim, behind Riften. Eris is slitting throats in The Reach Delves-The-Depths is still in Windhelm, trying to decide if she likes this new Ebony armor, or if she is going to stick with her Dwemer gear. Bendis and Lydia are standing just outside of Shor's Stone, on some dragonly business for the Greybeards. Shakti was last seen guarding the temple of Nocturnal Hesperia is outside of Whiterun, wondering what happened to the farmer who previously owned this cow? Ulfdis is staring at the birds in Dawnstar Aretsaya is standing in the courtyard of the College of Winterhold.

So I have something to announce, my friends. One of our own has just passed. Skankee Krahk-ho has just been killed by the boss of Pinewatch: who goes by the name of Strong-Arm or something like that. I'm a little too bummed to look up her name on UESP. Anyways, just wanted to mention this here. I should probably also look up Senior Cinco's DiD thread over at Bethsoft. Was fun travellin' with ya, Miss Skank.... It's okay, I'm okay. Usually when somebody dies I'll play Goddess, and evaluate whether or not that character died "fairly". If there's some glitch going on, for instance, and it doesn't allow my character to move, and she gets killed--that's an unfair death. But if I did everything I possibly could to defend my character, or flee, and/or fight, and the character dies, that's a fair death. I am starting somebody new tonight anyways, and I'm going to be doing a lot of adventuring with this new guy. Think I will start his game in the Spoilers section though.

Recently I've been playing a new character, Kendra. Her game started in Riverwood. She is a mercenary for hire, looking for a purpose in life. She heard from the innkeeper that the Jarl of Whiterun if offering bounty money to someone who can rid a camp of bandits north of the City. Kendra decided to take them on, and succeeded. She is currently in Whiterun, taking on as many bounties come along; until they become tiresome for her, then she will move on.

Thanks SubRosa!
Yeah when she came about I realized she had very hard features. Her eyes, like you said, are dark and piercing.
For me it says a lot about her character. She lived a difficult life and grew into a fairly cold, hard woman.
It's fun trying to discover more about her as we travel together.
