Five (or was it six?) bounties later, plus some smithing and a lucky find of a Transmute spell, Trey got the key to his very own house. He proudly asked Lydia to follow him. Having a Housecarl with no house had been... difficult.
But his step was light now- to the tune of 5000 gold. Still- a HOUSE. He turned the key and threw open the door to see... some crates and lots of dust and empty space.
Lydia tried to be sympathetic, "Perhaps some curtains will liven it up, my thane?"
Trey muttered, "Wait here," and headed to Dragonsreach with determination in his stride and mayhem in his heart. "I wonder what the penalty is for feeding the Jarl's advisor to a dragon?"
By the time he reached Proventus however, his temper had cooled- somewhat.
"The house is empty," Trey grated, keeping his hand away from his sword hilt with great effort.
Proventus raised a carefully plucked eyebrow, "Well, yes. Of course. Did I not give you the Decorating Guide? Oh- here it is."
Trey looked at the thin pamphlet suspiciously and felt his anger rise again at the prices for simple furnishings. But it wavered when when he saw that he could have an alchemy lab of his own. And- it was convenient to Warmaiden's too.
There was that treasure map he had been lugging around for a while- maybe it was time to see where it would take him.
"Probably into a troll's gullet," he thought.

I have been spending too much time with Mycharonna and she wants me to buzz off. So I got back into a game that's been dormant..He's a Lvl. 8 Imperial fighter. My "test" character who is going to finally start the Civil War questline on the Imperial's side. Uber Kness has just arrived outside of Whiterun. He took a carriage here from Solitude, and it is night when he arrives. There are a group of Khajiit staying outside of the city, so Uber decides to stay with them for the night. (I love hearing them talk. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Apr 12 2013, 10:29 PM

QUOTE It was 10 days ago that he said "Please wait here." And she has been (apparently) standing by the fire pit ever since. Many husbands would like such obedient wife. And if she doesn't it, the better! No additional costs! QUOTE Uber Kness has just arrived outside of Whiterun. He took a carriage here from Solitude, and it is night when he arrives. emot-ninja1.gif There are a group of Khajiit staying outside of the city, so Uber decides to stay with them for the night. That name deserves an award! Did he actually sleep in any Khajiit's bedroll? I'm asking because Tamala was asking for some free bedrolls in Khajiit's tents near Riften but they were all OWNED. -------------------------------------- Tamala Christophe, Redguard thief and newest recruit of the Riften guild of Thieves, left Riften and headed for Windhelm by foot. To reach Riften, she hired a carriage from Whiterun but she found herself capable enough to survive a walk from Riften to Windhelm. She soon came to regret her decision. While admiring tall mountain peaks just a few steps away from Riften guard tower she was ambushed by three giant frostbite spiders. I don't need to stress out that she got poisoned during the fight. Not long after she had to sneak through a fort inhabited by bandits, situated approximately a half way between Riften and Shor's Stone. Just before Shor's Stone she was attacked by a duo of hungry wolves. Tamala realized that guards don't perform their duties in the vicinity of Riften at all, instead they let travelers like herself deal with the dangers. A trip from Shor's Stone was peaceful for some time but then the realy party started... after killing another pair of wolves she was attacked by an Argonian in black & red armor, obviously determined to slay her! Tamala calculated her chances and concluded that Argonian seems to tough to defeat and instead sprinted down the road. That was not very wise because a family of three frostbite spiders welcomed and surrounded her. She barely defeated one of them and noticed the Argonian approaching! She repeated her technique and continued sprinting down. That was not very wise either because farther down the road three starved wolves spotted her and obviously found her dark skin pleasant for a few bites. The bad thing was that she was chased by two big frostbite spiders and three wolves who didn't let her go no matter what. The good thing was that Argonian in black & red armor obviously wasn't interested in killing her anymore and was running back up the road. Or perhaps he/she got afraid of too many creatures. Another good thing is that all of a sudden one of the frostbite spiders was set on fire. But hey, Tamala barely knows how to cast a fire! Was someone coming to her help? Exactly, a Dunmer girl in heavy armor was running up the road and joined the fight. Thanks to her fire and Tamala's orcish dagger they dealt with the creatures! Tamala thanked the mercenary for help and then they parted ways. She made a short stop by the lake to eat some food, clean her face and wounds but at the same time she felt her fingers getting numb and realized that one of the wolves obviously infected her with some disease that made her much less efficient in combat. But this was not the end of the adventures. A little later she stumbled upon a giant and his mammoth pet. Mammoth was standing in a middle of the road and giant was walking in its direction. Afraid to get any closer, Tamala crouched and waited for the road to clear. Well fortunately they eventually moved out of the way but it lasted a long time. The giant crossed a road and headed for the mountains while his pet went the other way, obviously heading to another giant that was standing next to a big fire a distance away. Tamala took advantage of the situations and quickly sneaked between a giant and his pet. The rest of the journey was more or less peaceful if we don't count a heavy snowstorm close to Windhelm that made her fingers even more numb. With her last remaining strength she made it to Windhelm, found an alchemist, bought a potion of cure disease, rented a room at Candlehearth Hall, drank her potion and fell to the bed. She couldn't sleep for some time because of a bard singing war songs but at least she had a beautiful voice. She will probably have to spend a day or two in a bed for symptoms to fade away.

Lol. QUOTE(Lopov @ Apr 13 2013, 08:30 AM) That name deserves an award! Did he actually sleep in any Khajiit's bedroll? I'm asking because Tamala was asking for some free bedrolls in Khajiit's tents near Riften but they were all OWNED. No, he actually stood around with the cat-people in real-time, while auroras lighted the sky and I surfed the forums. When the sun came up he went to Halted Stream Camp and took care of business there. When he got back to Whiterun, he had enough money to hire Jenassa (dark elf archer) and this has been going well so far. QUOTE *snip* Ha ha what a cluster[censored]! Interesting that the mercenary actually joined in and helped Tamala. I've never seen them do anything like that before. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Apr 13 2013, 04:57 PM

Trey's barrow-clearing mania has hit an unexpected snag. He came across some indications of an age-old feud involving an ancient court mage. He found 2 pieces of the "MacGuffin", but the third piece is locked in the final barrow, which is posted with signs: "DO NOT ENTER BY ORDER OF THE COLLEGE OF WINTERHOLD!" "OR WELL- NOW THAT WE THINK ABOUT IT- APPLY FOR ENTRANCE BY APPLYING FOR ENTRANCE TO THE COLLEGE OF WINTERHOLD" THANK YOU. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT HAS BEEN MADE ON BEHALF OF THE COLLEGE OF WINTERHOLD. PLEASE SEE THE COLLEGE OF WINTERHOLD FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. Fine then. Trey grumbled in typical Nordish fashion about bloody mages, but he went. And was told he has to cast a Fear spell. Which he does not have. But not to worry, the "nice lady" refusing entry will sell him the spell for a mere 30 gold. 30 gold pieces later- the spell cost more magic than he has. "I am an archer and undead slayer- not a mage! I have spent my time learning USEFUL things- like smithing and alchemy and how to KILL UNDEAD. I'm a crusader, dammit, not a.... Oh nevermind." Exploring the world, Trey discovered a cave which apparently contained spiders large enough to prey on mammoths. So OF COURSE he went in... The sound of multi-jointed legs skittering across the cave floor will be with him for a long time. Surviving that, he went to an abandoned fort and was attacked by homicidal elemental mages. The only GOOD thing about it was, he found the last ingredient needed for Elsweyr Fondue, which will give him enough of a boost to cast the stupid spell, to get into the idiot college, so he can be allowed to enter the blankity-blank barrow that was all he wanted to do in the first place. Poor Tamala. At least she did not meet some mysterious "Sam" fellow.... Trey continues to fight his one-Nord battle against undead wherever he finds them. With--- mixed results. Trey the Nord passed the “entrance exam” and got into the College. He then had to listen to Mirabelle explain that she really runs the place. “And I care because… why?” he thought but did not say. He DID admire the way she walked through a snowstorm like she was balancing a tea tray on her… head. Yes- he was definitely watching the back of her head. He then met Tolfdir, who immediately asked what he thought about learning magic. “I… ah… it’s good for things you can’t kill with arrows?” He appreciated the fact that Brelyna did not laugh at him- her dark skin and Vvardenfell accent reminded him of growing up among the Dunmer. Better yet, they were to meet at Saarthal! Excellent. This was going to be easy. Several reloads later- Trey realized he had neither the skill nor the weaponry to defeat a Draugr Deathlord. GULP. Even Dawnbreaker cried for “Mommy.” Needless to say, “Mommy", aka Meridia, was NOWHERE to be found. Stupid Daedra.

It was a wild day for Tamala Christophe. She got infected with Rockjoint (again), was stalked by a Frost Troll and attacked by a Sabre Cat. She also 'exchanged' her Orcish dagger for a scimitar. But first things first...
She was searching for a barrow located SE of Winterhold when she got lost. Either she missed a way or didn't make a good enough sketch. However she remembered that a barrow is located somewhere north and decided to go that way, hoping that she'll eventually find it. On a way there she was ambushed by a family of wolves and not even her Necklace of Disease Resistance (which she pickpocketed from Sybille Stentor in Solitude BTW) could prevent her from contracting Rockjoint. Having no appropriate potion, she had no choice but to grit her teeth and push on.
Not long after she spotted a barrow in the distance and the man whom she was supposed to meet her was standing outside. For some reason he began running towards her when he saw her and pulled out his dwarven sword. Tamala didn't understand what was going on and pulled out her orcish dagger as well but the man ran past her. When Tamala turned around she noticed...A Frost Troll! A Frost Troll that was obviously trying to attack her but the man went on and help her. Together they defeated it and ventured into a forgotten barrow.
What happened there, would be more appropriate for Spoilers thread, suffice to say that what had happened down there, didn't really positively affect on Tamala. Luckily her new objective was close - Winterhold. While walking there she came upon two Redguards who were questioning a traveler. Although Tamala was a Redguard like them, she had never seen Alik'r soldiers before since she spent most of her life in Cyrodiil. They were not very talkative though but Tamala joined them nonetheless. Since they were much faster walkers as her, they quickly left her behind which at least partially led to their demise.
Before Tamala even realized what was going on, one Alik'r soldier was already dead while huge white beast jumped on the other one and finished him off in a few seconds. Tamala quickly crouched, hoping that the beast wouldn't spot her but she obviously ran out of her luck. But much to her surprise, the beast wasn't so difficult to defeat. Tamala used her common technique which involved running around the enemy in circles and hitting it while hopefully getting bit as less as possible. After a few long minutes Tamala killed her first Sabre Cat in Skyrim.
She couldn't bury her kinsmen in the middle of the road, so she at least moved their corpses to a nearby bush. Hopefully someone would take care of them. Ironically, she had never met Alik'r before but the first ones she met, died after only a few minutes. However, she decided to take something that will remind her of this meeting. A scimitar - symbol of Hammerfell. She never wielded one before but she had a feeling that this weapon will serve her better as her old Orcish Dagger. With her new weapon she headed to Winterhold.
Her luck returned in The Frozen Hearth because the man whom she was supposed to talk to at the College, was having a dinner at the inn. However he couldn't help her much except of directing her to the Court Wizard of Markarth. Before falling asleep Tamala thought whether she's capable enough to travel to Markarth on her own or should she return to Windhelm and hire a carriage. Before she could decide, she fell asleep.

QUOTE(Grits @ Apr 17 2013, 05:26 PM) Jerric and Darnand (Marcurio) had an incident in which Jerric incurred a 40 Septim bounty (assault) followed by a 1,000 Septim bounty (murder) followed by the absolution of all fines upon the witnesses’ deaths. It was a very messy fight involving three Thalmor and their prisoner plus a thief who ran up behind Jerric at the start of the confrontation. My guess is that Jerric accidentally shield bashed the prisoner and got the bounty, then Darnand killed him with his Chain Lightning. There was quite a body pile on the road.
So even though there was no arrest and the prisoner rode to Sovngarde on a blaze of glory (with Jerric’s spare ebony sword in his hand) Jerric now has a murder on his record.
It’s also possible that Darnand (Marcurio) attacked the prisoner after Jerric shield bashed him. Stranger things have happened. It was hard to tell with all of the damned Chain Lightning making the screen look all wobbly.
Doh! That is one thing I do not like about having followers/friendly npcs around in a fight. You always seem to end up hitting them, no matter how hard you try not to. Granted, it was much worse in Oblivion... Hrafn had some weirdness a few days ago. It was after the war was over, and she had started building her new home in the Pale. She fast traveled to Dragonsreach and walked down through Whiterun's streets. It was her first time back since taking the city in the war. She heard a ruckus near the main gate, ran over, and found the two Stormcloak guards now posted there slugging it out with three Imperial Legionaries! I have no idea how a 3 man Legion patrol spawned inside the city. Anyway, Hrafn ran over and joined in, and got a 40 gold bounty on her first hit on an Imperial. In the end she killed two of them, and when the fight was over the surviving Stormcloak, whom Hrafn had rescued, arrested her. Needless to say I paid the bounty.
