Even though Grits World is as foggy and warm as Rains Hand in Leyawiin this morning, its starting to look Christmassy around here. After two years on the injured list Im finally able to decorate again. Its taking me a long time, though. Today is day 2 of hanging lights.
Finally got infected by the Christmas spirit by going out and getting the tree yesterday. Then began the annual tug-of-war that we call 'decorating the tree' around here. A shame that 'good will towards men' doesn't apply when she wants apply the lights starting from the top while I prefer starting from the bottom!

Top down, because the cord has to be closest to the electric outlet, lol.

Merry Christmas and/or Christmas Eve!
Bread and apple cake will soon be baking. I will head down to my sister's later tonight.
The kittehs have promised not to jump the reindeer (there was the "incident" a while back...) To quote Calvin... "Santa is gonna skip this block for YEARS!"
I know one present I will be getting.... the wonderful folks here at Chorrol.

The dreams down here aren't broken, nah, they're walkin' with a limp...
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a great time!

And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed. I long for scenes where man hath never trod A place where woman never smiled or wept There to abide with my Creator, God, And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept, Untroubling and untroubled where I lie The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”
