And thus yesterday in the early morning, Lothran set out for Pale Pass! He bought some food from Hafid and some mead from Olav and collected his gear and without further ado, he passed through the East gate.
He reached Serpentīs Trail with only a Will-o to guard it which was just a nuisance, really. He had hoped for a little better practice before going in. Anyway, after switching to his Ghost rings and amulet and getting his weapons poisoned, he slowly opened up the door making sure to keep its squeeky noise to a minimum, and entered the narrow passage..
For a Warlock rank in the Mages Guild, even the Pale Pass Ogre Cave Bosses donīt really put up much trouble. One arrow from the Shocker followed by a Weakness spell and two hits from Snowflake, and down they go. Granted, they were all attacked from the shadows and poisoned arrows were used, but still. Lothran was quite amazed how easy he travelled through the monster-infested cave system. Along the way he found not one but two Flawless Topaz the Ogres had hidden in well-locked chests. What they were gonna buy with them was beyond the Dunmer. When he finally reached the door at the other end he had already used up most of his Shock poisons. He wasnīt worried, though. He usually donīt use poisons this much so he can manage without, plus he still had his best poison left. Removing his Ghost trinkets and dipping yet another arrow in Shock poison, he opened up the heavy door and...
The legendary Pale Pass!
It was still dark when he went out from the cold cave system. He was quite excited to be back. Not only because of the great hunting grounds, but for the memories. When he first got here he didnīt know what to expect or where to go. Now, he knew this place like the back of his hand. He readied his bow and slowly began the journey down into the snowy valley to begin the hunt..

Very good Lothie. It's been so llong since one of mine has been up in that area. QUOTE What they were gonna buy with them was beyond the Dunmer. From what I've been raised to believe, really dumb creatures such as ogres collect gems because they're fascinated by shiny things.

Yeah, I figured that too but for some reason I tried to be funny; like those ogres was saving up to go buy stuff for them

What a wonderful little story, mirocu! Now we see why Lothran was brewing up those potions and poisons. I'm glad he's as skilled as he is so that he'll return from such dangerous expeditions. I have a very sad elf now - who's fascinated by shiny things. . . .

Pale Pass BLEW me away the first time I did that quest. Because (to me) Cyrodiil already seemed very massive, and to think there is MORE?? I remember assuming it would be a very short area, you know; maybe 5 minutes into Skyrim and that's it. But it took quite awhile to make it to the end of the quest. It's a fort, right? ---- Lady Saga is in Cheydinhal, unsure of where to go next. She's going to go to the Imperial City perhaps. Or maybe look at her map and try to figure some place she hasn't been yet. Decisions... EDIT: it's a nice evening in Sun's Height, and Saga wants to sleep outside. But she doesn't want to sleep OUTside, she simply wants to sleep in Cheydinhal. She tried to sleep behind Cheydinhal's chapel but she got arrested. 45 gold, whoopee! And now she has finally found the spot: she's going to sleep behind the stable with Mivryna. Probably spelled that name wrong. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Dec 24 2014, 12:03 AM

QUOTE(Lopov @ Dec 25 2014, 03:24 PM) Lol, Saga got arrested because of sleeping outside? Which mod is this? It's nice that Myrvyna (or however her name is spelled) allowed Saga to share bedroll with her. That was from tejon's mod... um.... Sleep Anywhere I think it is called. It makes sleeping in public (without a bedroll) into vagrancy, which is against the lawwwww. Saga gave that stablehand a few presents: a leather cuirass and some boots. She deserves some protection.

QUOTE(Renee Gade IV @ Dec 28 2014, 03:28 PM) Honmund is pretty cool. He has a good life, it seems, you know?
Yeah. Out of all people in Bruma, he really seems to live an active life Aside from Lothran, that is.. QUOTE(Renee Gade IV @ Dec 28 2014, 03:28 PM) She did seem to think she saw a silver-haired dark elf on a guard's patrol. Don't see that everyday.
Maybe they have hired another Dunmer, then? Nice for the white-haired Dunmer to have a fellow countryman as a guard, I guess..

I forgot to mention: last night after I was done writing the latest Kahreem, I got this urge to get back with Joan of Arkay! I don't know where that came from, but I followed this urge. Yup, pure vanilla game, yo. I haven't been with her since I created her in May of 2013. She is about to deliver Amulet. I'm not sure I'll fully write her tales or not, but it was fun to be with her again. I forgot that she is sort of a Battlemage, which means She's interested in using Destruction spells. It's been since the Grey Wizard (2011) since I've had a character in Oblivion who uses Destruction. She fought a bandit and a highwayman on her way to Weynon Priory. She hasn't delivered the gem yet, when I last saw her, she was activating the altar in the priory's chapel.
