Yep, some folklore has vampires being affected by silver, probably because of its associations with purity and holiness.

I remember that film, I kinda liked it, I saw the sequel and the only recurring character was Mr. Blue Lips. Both films were okay.

Urgh, I hated the sequel. IT had none of the charm of the original.
