I just thought this would be a fun poll. If your favorite faction was added by a mod, choose the Other option, and feel free to talk about it on this thread.
I honestly enjoyed the thieve's guild in oblivion better. The quests and people were more interesting, and the reward for finnishing the questline was much better. I don't even know. But since I guess, technically, since I always head for the magic places first, I'd have to say the Mages/Winterhold Guild. But I won't vote on that just yet, since I always change my mind, lol

Dark Brotherhood for me; I'm a sucker for good stealth-based gameplay and I love the focus on it that they have during their quests. They're great fun.

:vFighters Guild. First faction I ever joined in my first ever playthrough of Oblivion. Arena was nice too, and the quest involving the Grey Prince was epic. In Skyrim, the Legion. I'm a fanboy of another Legion of another Bethesda game, but somehow, I prefer the armor of the other legion. Why? Skyrim's Legion doesn't have PLUMED HELMETS! Plumed helmets are cool...
