So I had this dream last night and after it was over, I made myself wake fully up so I could remember it all. There was this street fair, all my friends were going, it was this big all-day thing. I used to live in Portland Oregon 10 years ago, and so I recognized the area where the street fair was gonna be held as the southeast district: Hawthorne blvd to be more specific. Anyways I'm getting ready, cooking, getting dressed. I don't remember that part very well, but it's of no consequence, anyways. Later on I was approaching the party, I was still outside. For some reason things get vague, and I wind up travelling through some woods, and there are no woods in that part of Portland. Suddenly, there was a "camera" floating through the air, and I'm watching this camera passively (as if I'm watching TV). The camera pans around this WOLF. Circles around and around, and in the dream I make this comment that this is a cut-scene! Just like in a videogame. The camera starts to center towards the wolf, and then I get what's about to happen. I am to become the wolf. As the camera hovers behind the wolf, all a sudden I can start to walk ... on 4 legs. I wind up walking back to the area where the party is, and where all my friends are, etc. They recognize me because there is this weird telepathic thing that goes on. I am able to communicate to them that I am this wolf. I have no idea how it happened or how long it will last, but they accept this oddity anyways. Towards the end of the dream, everybody is swarming around this food provided by the establishment. Music is playing, etc. There was a band playing Joe Walsh's Rocky Mountain Way (and badly, at that!). I wanna say we were all in the Bagdhad Theatre. As my friends eat the food provided by the Bagdhad, I start to eat my own food. And I felt weird doing so. Some dreams have meaning, and some do not, not that I can decipher, anyways. In this case, I think I know what this dream means. I've become a wolf, I've got my own food, I'm doing things my own way. Yet I am still accepted by my friends. Bla bla bla, what about you? I would have put this in the Skyrim forums, by the way, but I realized any videogame can inspire a dream. This post has been edited by Lady Saga: Jan 3 2013, 01:45 PM

I too had a game-inspired dream last night. I was in the Nebula Isles, stuck in the ash caves, surrounded by ash monsters and that whole Sixth House paraphernalia... Had to eat corpsus meat to survive... That didn't come without consequences. Was looking for a way out... And you'd think I should know where to go since I built those caves! But actually when I was playing last night, I got lost time and time again. Seems I did a good job with that mod. Then in the early hours of the morning - after I woke up a few times in cold sweat - a solution presented itself. It will be the next episode in Lena's story (which is Hauk's story at this point, really).

Guys! I've actually had a game dream not inspired by a Doom game! It's actually from Fallout 3, specifically from when you blow up Megaton from Tenpenny Tower. I pressed the button, there was a big bang, and Tenpenny mumbled something about me getting the apartment. Then right after I started sniping people (not zombies as it turned out) from my vantage point with the Fallout 3 style hunting rifle. I was a bit miffed not having a scope but I could manage. Then the dream morphed into some generic post-apocalyptic mess with monsters on the good side etc. But yeah! A game dream not about Doom; fancy that!

I had a rare fantasy-game related dream about a week ago. Much of it was quickly forgotten. More has been forgotten since. This is what I know. Or think I know.
An update to the Everquest franchise was about to launch. (I abandoned Everquest, and all MMO's, soon after buying TES:Oblivion during 2009). This edition was to be some sort of first-person real-life experience, where players themselves physically participated rather than have in-game avatars. It wasn't a mind-implanted world, but rather a physical location we had to be at to participate. A theme-park on steroids, I suppose. The gaming-focused dream-portion began with me on a bus full of eager participants. All were dressed in RPG gear. I held an obviously cheap, plastic, small war-hammer.
Once at the site, we entered a building containing the game world. It was a monumental disappointment. The "ground" was nothing more than smooth floor, with dirt, grass, etc. painted on its surface. Clouds were painted on obvious ceilings. There were walls separating different sections of "map", with openings allowing us to move between sections. I recall exploring this environment for some minutes, wishing I was elsewhere and had not invested in the "update". The dream then either morphed into something else or ended.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Dec 15 2022, 01:29 PM) I can tell you think it was awesome Gotta start somewhere. Seriously, as much time as you spend with Lothran, I'm surprised you've never "met" or seen him during REM sleep. QUOTE Also; you haven't seen that one before?
I have seen it before. And hopefully today'll be for the last time!!!

It's been a long, long time since I saw that one. I may have nightmares tonight.

It's been a long, long time since I saw that one. I may have nightmares tonight. I haven't seen it before, but then again, I avoid videos in general. With a good reason, as it turns out! The music and the sequence got stuck in my head and invaded every dream last night! Although I must admit, that video was awesome.

I was in a Falkreath-looking area, no idea why I was there, or what I was doing. But I was standing in a yard next to a large house. Not Lakeview Manor, but it had the same look. There were lots of gigantic trees, and the sky was getting dark. At some point I had to hide, because a giant walked right beside the house! It towered over me, and I moved to the side of the house so it couldn't see me. Then I got busy doing something else. Don't remember what. Later on I noticed a HUGE tree, lying on its side but moving slowly sideways. This is one of those Douglas fir-looking trees which populate Skyrim. I could see the top half of the tree, and like I said it was moving. I peeked around the house's corner, only to see the same giant, DRAGGING the entire 70 foot+ tree, probably taking it back to its camp. Guess that giant was trying to celebrate his own holidays!
