Made a nice chicken salad yesterday. Dice up: chicken meat, sweet pickles, celery, onion. Add: macadamia nuts (walnuts or pecans work fine), black pepper, curry powder, salt, mayo, sour cream Mix above together. Fold in some halved grapes (green or red). Chill. Enjoy. Very nice with a goblet of Tamikas (white zin works fine) and some crackers.

QUOTE(mALX @ Nov 1 2017, 10:46 PM) Huevos con queso y chili con Andouille sausage! That is right, I said it. We had chili leftover from last night's dinner = that was made with Andouille sausage. I shredded some Colby-Jack cheese over my eggs when I turned them over, then when the cheese melted I put a scoop of hot chili over them and served it with a slice of toast = MMMMMM !!!!! Delish !!! Oooh, that does sound awesomely delicious!

Trying something new for me this week. Instead of a banana, wheat toast with butter substitute and jelly substitute, and a glass of milk for breakfast, I'm ditching toast/butter/jelly for Oatmeal with sugar substitute, cinnamon and a fruit mixed in. I bought strawberries for the fruit, and like them well enough. Problem is, I like milk with bananas, but drink milk only at breakfast (except those lunched when I have Wowbutter sammiches). I'm gonna go with bananas in tomorrow morning's breakfast and hope for the best. When I'll eat those strawberries is anyone's guess.
Another consideration, a one-serving size bowl of oatmeal is more filling than I'm used to at breakfast. I feel bloated after eating it. More bloated than I want to be at any rate. Now, so long as I don't gain weight, feeling bloated isn't a lease breaker. We shall see, I reckon.
Forgot to mention that I'm making this change after watching a YouTube video that numbers strawberries, cinnamon and oatmeal as "healthy" foods to eat.

I have also switched to a small bowl of oatmeal since the cold weather started setting in. I put a tiny bit of dark brown sugar in mine, and a dash of cinnamon.

QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Nov 3 2017, 11:00 AM) Khajiit likes honey, cinnamon, a shake or two of cayenne pepper powder, dried cranberries, and either chopped walnuts or almonds in his oatmeal. It also must be made with milk and not water.
Hmmm...an interesting list of ingredients. Cayenne powder seems out of place somehow, but what do I know? Alas, nuts are a no no for me, being potential migraine triggers. Same with honey. Odd that. I've never seen honey mentioned on any official migraine trigger list. Yet I've had too many attacks following meals which included honey to not avoid it. I've thought of of substituting milk for water, but like oatmeal well enough as is, and besides drink a full grass of milk at breakfast. That being the case, milk in oatmeal seems overkill. BTW, I switched from strawberries to banana this morning. Worked out rather well. Better than strawberries, truth be told. Think I'll go that route for the time being. I plan to continue eating strawberries for health reasons. Not sure which non breakfast meal I'll settle on, if it even matters.

Hmmm...an interesting list of ingredients. Cayenne powder seems out of place somehow, but what do I know? The honey and cranberries make it sweet and the cinnamon and cayenne make it a bit spicy (Khajiit is not talking about a lot of heat here, but just a slight hint of it)! This one loves the combination of sweet and spicy.
