QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Jan 26 2017, 12:05 PM) QUOTE(mALX @ Jan 26 2017, 11:03 AM) Could end up getting us more Guild mates!
Or trolls, lol Pseron is a member here? Khajiit has never seen him around. He hasn't been here in a while, that is why I doubt he knows that we have added an ESO subforum. QUOTE(hazmick @ Jan 26 2017, 12:29 PM) QUOTE(mALX @ Jan 26 2017, 05:34 PM) In order to get through the "Auto-response" computerized messages in ESO Support, you have to repeatedly ask for your case to be escalated to a person with the authority to fix the problem. They have farmed their "Support" to a small town in Ireland that has no authority to actually DO anything for you, all they do is repeatedly send you automated computer responses. You have to work your way past them to a real person who can actually fix the issue.
Tip: I gave them my phone number in one of my correspondences, (after a week of the back and forth auto-response BS and days of requesting for my case to be escalated) - immediately after giving them the phone number, I got a call from someone who fixed the issue immediately.
It started off with a real person, but then I was downgraded to the auto system. They have a lot of support tickets to work through at the moment and my issue isn't too urgent, so I'm just going to bear with the robots for the time being. Well, I hope you get it worked out! It took me over a week to get my email changed on my account.

hazmick, I hope they get your issues fixed! I am not jumping on the 6,000 Crown electric blue motif, either. Which means that all of the Master writs I get will be for that style. Laptop held up well, I think I have a good short-term solution. Jerric is slowly succumbing to Azura's wiles in Stonefalls. I had forgotten about this part of the questline since the first time, probably because of the floating, shimmery, pantiless, living goddess that he will meet pretty soon down the road. Hard for a talking statue to compete with that. Best thing, Jerric met Rider's Argis the Bulwark today! They lifted a few tankards at The Stink. It was great to relax for a bit with a brother Nord. Turns out they have a lot in common. The fish of the Ebonheart waters should be very afraid!

QUOTE(hazmick @ Jan 26 2017, 10:12 AM) By the Hist. 6000 crowns for the Dro-m'Athra style motif...
Pfffffffffffffffffffffffff But seriously, I'm glad I bought all the chapters a long time ago even if I don't exactly like it. I guess that's one motif that won't go down in price, ever. Anyways, glad to hear you have a temporary solution, Grits. A friend of mine recently got a replacement video card which means he'll be able to jump back into ESO in time for housing. He actually has an (old) account here so maybe he'll be interested in joining the guild.

Today I realized that we really do need a transmog system. I FINALLy went and replaced Jo'zira's Mercenary/Glass equipment i hid beneath a costume with Abah's Watch style gear. This had nearly a year coming, and I dunno if it was a good idea (it was the same thing with the Mercenary robe). Basically, the style looks okay, but it fits really weird on him. It's way bulkier than I anticipated and it looks weird without a helmet. I think I just need to finally go and buy an appearance change token for him and fine tune his appearance. I dunno if it's just me or if Khajiit shoulders are annoyingly broader than normal when viewed outside of character creator. Too bad you can't get red fur on Khajiit. I wanted to make him look like a caracal, preferably a cub, but it's sorta impossible with what we have. :T At the very least I can make him taller, like he should be.

I didn't know they couldn't be red! I wonder what that is all about? If you do go ahead with the appearance change, can you answer a few questions for me to save me from an expensive mistake? 1. Can you change their voice while changing their appearance? 2. Can you see what their old voice was set at or do they just revert everything to NIL to redo your character's appearance? If the answer to 2 is yes (that you Can See what voice you had previously chosen), then what exactly is the name of the change of appearance you used to be able to access the info on the voices? I have one character with an adorable voice (Calia); and another who I THOUGHT I made exactly the same and started in a different Alliance so I could have one character experience all the Alliances. Well, the second character comes out grunting like a pig farmer's wife at every single action! I can't stand it, so I turned her into a mule and never take her out anywhere. The thing is, on all my characters I went over every single voice choice very carefully; they don't have this grunting on the examples they give you! Yet she does it constantly! Since I made that grunting girl, I have made two more characters; carefully going over their voices trying to find that cute one I had picked on Calia - was never able to find it again. In fact, one of those grunted too, and I deleted her immediately before spending any gold upgrading her backpack like I did for the first grunter (which made me feel hesitant to throw her out). So what I'm wanting to do is to just See (without changing anything) what voice I used on the first character (Calia), and then do the actual changing on the grunting girl.

I only have experience with Appearance Change tokens (no Race Change or Name Change), but I can confirm that it's essentially like going back to character creation (minus race and class selection) but with all of your character's previous settings still there. You can even use it to check on another character's parameters without using it up! So to answer the questions 1. Yes 2. Yes As for the latter part...that's kinda tricky. You can change the voice under the "Face" tab (using Eolan's old parameters as an example) right beneath the face triangle, but I find that's it's sort of hard to know what you're getting since the voice clips you get by clicking the little speaker are randomized. For example, when I tried to make a Nord with Michael Gough's voice, I couldn't find it in any of the options. So yeah, it seems the "grunting" problem may still be there. I think one way to get around it is to make a throwaway character to test the voices, but idk. At least that way you don't use up the token. This is really good news, especially that I can peek at the one without using the token up, then change the second one! You are exactly right on the voices, because I have cycled through every voice's choices (and toggled through each's complete set of samples) - and never been able to find Calia's voice again! And I have tried, even (as you suggested) - starting another character. I also wondered if each voice set (A through H) has different choices within it, like maybe there are a few different voice choices all under the "A," etc. (?) But this is why I've been wanting to just view Calia's voice to find out what "Letter" of Voice I chose, but I've been really afraid if I pulled her up to look at her that I might lose her cute voice and end up having her become a grunter too. :fear: This post has been edited by mALX: Jan 28 2017, 12:57 PM

QUOTE(Acadian @ Jan 28 2017, 08:06 AM) Buffy uses Bosmer female voice F. Do you suppose that might be different than Nord female voice F? Or Imperial...?
Thanks to monkeyemoness's suggestion; I just tested each voice set by creating characters on the PTS server (where I could try them all in one day instead of having to try just two at once and wait in between for days) = Found Calia's voice set, it is also "F" !!!!! I don't know if they are the same or not, but it is a "Young/Eager" sounding voice rather than a 40 year old brawling alcoholic barroom wench or a girl who grunts at every single action with a manly sounding "HURGH" sound. So I spent today creating another character on the PTS and switching all the gear over so I could see what that voice set does in actual game play (IE: As in ... combat). Because Voice "E" wasn't bad till she was in combat, then suddenly she sounded like a cross between a sumo wrestler (a male one) and a hyena with kidney stones. I thought she was giving birth! I finally let the nixhound kill her just to shut her up. Still, it was much better than the grunter. Misa has a good voice until she is in combat, then she sounds like a Kawasaki winding out (complete with the pauses for gear shifting) It does get on my nerves. Yeah, though each race might share a voice actor (Tara Strong and Steve Blum have quite the range) they depend on the race. Except Bretons and Imperials. They have the exact same voices. @mALX - lmao hey, at least you found the voice! I actually have the opposite problem with Hates-White-Rats' voice. She uses the "cute" Argonian voice with grunts and shouts that fit her perfectly, but hearing NPCs actually TALK with the voice is something else. It's really wheezy. Like she's constatnly sighing. Best example I can think of off the top of my head is the ghostly Tree Minder in Shadowfen. It isn't until she yells "Xuth!" that she sounds...correct? idk I expected shrill and screechy not wheezy. Oh, I am so glad I found it! Thank you so very much for that suggestion; it was really timely since I had access to 7 blank character slots! I don't know why I didn't try that before - but I will say this: The voice "F" does not sound ANYTHING like the preview tests on the CharGen creation screen setup. In looking for Calia's voice again, I have never thought it could have been the "F" when testing new characters because the voice on that tester sounds horrible! It is like they have it camouflaged or something! Oh, I never knew/thought about it - but really like that the Khajiit and Argonians have a choice of voices! Especially with the NPCs; that really is progress!

Haa-Rei's voice is good. I've met plenty of Argonians that use it, I'll have to try and find one of them so you all have a reference point.
Ooh! This one created an Argonian! Very creepy looking guy! Has a very hissy voice.

That is what I do too, listen to the laughs/and also listen over numerous presses of the tester per each voice. But in character creation, the "F" laugh on the tester is not the adorable laugh that "F" actually has. Instead you hear a very coarse sounding wheezy smoker's laugh that sounds forced; and most def the laugh of someone well past their prime age-wise. I don't know if it is broken in my game or what happened; but on my game I no longer hear the real voice file for testing the "F" voice file; but - I would never have picked THAT voice for any of my characters, so at the time I picked out Calia, it had to have sounded good or I wouldn't have picked it. But since then whenever I have been looking for that voice again, it is always turning up at "A" on the tester = which I have learned the hard way is most def the grunter once I get it in my game. Anyway = so glad I finally found that voice again! Thank you so much for your brilliant idea/suggestion, monkeyemoness!
