Here's an unmarked location, but it can be described in a number of ways. (Harvestable ingredients and loose items of interest may already have been picked up before I took the picture, sorry.)

I think this camp is west/northwest from the Falkreath Watchtower. I remember some skill book being in that camp and I kept searching for it in the pic but it was probably already picked up or its location is obscured in the pic.

That is correct! Yep, there was a skill book I think on the bedroll that the guys picked up before I thought to take a picture. This is the camp of the doomed mushroom grove alchemist who writes in his journal that he plans to investigate the ecosystem downstream.

It was required in some quest and my character that was doing that quest, kept searching for that book but couldn't find it anywhere. Then we stumbled upon it by accident in this particular camp.

Is this that Ayleid ruin under water near the big bridge that crosses the Rumare south of the Imperial City? I can't remember the name.

It's neither Miscarcand.

The ruin in question isn't part of the main quest or KoTN but it has a role in another questline.
