BUT: They need to keep the hair on the head somehow instead of replacing the hair with it, I don't like seeing Misa bald, lol.
Definitely agree with this.

Yes, it is the reason I don't like wearing those cute New Life festival hats, verysad.gif They make her bald.

Lol, yeah they need to take whatever technology they used for fallout4 to allow for hair under hats!
Mira would look a lot like this if she decided to be a pirate!

Awesome! What it is: Instead of having a separate slot for hats/helmets, they use the same slot the hair uses. It really irks me, lol. That is why I went into settings/gameplay and chose "hide helmet" - so Misa always has hair, and her costume hats don't show unless I change that setting.

This one hates the helmet Mira is using right now (Dunmer steel, shalk set, we think).

I'm not in love with most of the armor in this game, and like only a couple of the helmets.

They do in the early levels, but as your character levels up - the higher mats make uglier armors. verysad.gif

This one will have to reserve judgment as he's only seen pictures tongue.gif
The twitchy "NPCs" don't stand still long enough for us to inspect their armor, lol

Yes, I've had a lot of trouble getting screenshots of other people's mounts for the same reason, lol.

FYI guys, this one thinks the Gamepad interferes with the friend request and mail system. Last night Khajiit was trying to send Monkey and Buffy some mail but it wouldn't autocomplete their names in the username field. We also noticed that typing in the mail part was iffy so we turned off the gamepad and everything started working fine! Names autocompleted and we were able to send friend requests to those Khajiit couldn't get out before.

Gonna have to agree with you there. The higher level armor in the basic styles is far too ornate for my taste, with the majority of Medium armor just plain looking bad to me. Sigil spam everywhere, not to mention the garish default colors of some of the Veteran/CP materials.

I never liked helmets in TES, though, so there's that. :V

The leather is a bit too shiny and new for my taste, I kind of like rough worn tanned leather without the gloss. Something that looks like it's been in many battles, but been well cared for too.

So is it feasible to wear lower tier gear at higher character levels?

Sure, it just won't offer your character the proper level of protection.

If an enemy kills you and it is due to your armor being too low for your character; the summary of your death will name that as the cause on the screen where it tells you a replay of what happened and offers you the options to resurrect.

My bank mule/crafter character Bubba had actually leveled up so fast during the Witches Festival that I didn't realize he had out-leveled his armor by such an extreme amount until the summary told me his death in a fight was directly due to his armor being way under level (it was level 24; he was level 44).

So I really quickly updated his armor and weapons, def made a difference.

** Instead of doing that, which puts your character at risk for just the appearance - just use a costume from your collections and no matter what your armor looks like - you will have the proper protection and all anyone will see will be the costume.

Misa wore her Dark Seducer costume right up until she started wearing the Song of Lamae 160 Bosmer style armor - it looked pretty enough that she was able to shelve the costume.

Yeah, Misa got to CH level 110 wearing level 26 armor, (but that was back before One Tamriel) - I happened to notice she was suddenly squishy and updated her armor to Morihaus. She looked a bit clownish, so I put her costume on her - but the updated armor made a huge diff in how much more durable she was.

Oh, and another good reason to wear costumes = if you PvP in Cyrodiil, the people attacking you have NO idea what kind of armor you have on. It sometimes kind of makes them a bit skitterish to engage you at first, which gives you a chance to stun them quickly.

In game sources = yes; but not in game resources. You also get costumes for some quest rewards; and don't forget the disguises you get in some quests work too. Just put one copy of them in the bank and pick up another to wear in the quest so you will have the disguise later. Some of them are really cute!

And I also have two that are morphs that still give you armor coverage - one turns my character into a goblin, the other a skeleton = both of those were from quests; the goblin from Stonefalls and the skeleton from Shadowfen.

No, different ones. Like the Dark Seducer, Golden Saint, the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild ones - the Wrothgar bear head ones, etc. The goblin and skeleton morphs, etc - those are all quest rewards.

The disguises for quest rewards are the ones you are supposed to put on to blend in with enemies - there are a large number of these in quests throughout the game. Every time I come across one, I put a copy of it in the bank and pick up another one, because when the quest is over they won't be available anymore. When you are doing the quest, if any enemy spots you and sees through your disguise, the disguise disappears - but after the quest is over you can wear that disguise indefinitely (if you have managed to smuggle one to your bank), and some of them are very cute.
