Since Tuesday is August 1st and a NA guild night, there's a distinct possibility that another impromptu EU meeting will happen on Monday. Especially in July, where it has a precedent.

I will be there tomorrow and hope to make it to our impromptu gathering tonight. There is a wave of (delightful and welcome) chaos approaching tonight in the form of my daughter and friends, not sure when it will hit.

Sorry about last night; we had another tornado yesterday that took down several houses and trees and most of the roofs in our area. The power was finally turned back on, but they had the internet down most of the night = I couldn't make the meeting or even let anyone know I couldn't come. Sorry about that,

Well, we went a good portion of yesterday without power; but it came back and so did the internet for a while too; but when they started trying to clean up the downed trees and power lines they took the internet back down for most of the night. It was really bad in a circle around us, but somehow missed our end of our street. Lots of damage everywhere around us though, it may end up being declared a disaster when they start totaling up the damage.

I am wondering how Tregdoggie is doing through this; I haven't seen reports from his area yet. The biggest damage they are showing is in West Knoxville, it is a mess.

We keep getting tornado warnings here in Maryland; they've gotten more frequent over the past 5 years or so. Which is truly bizarre. We never got tornados in my state in the past, it's just not the right geometry here or something. 🌪

TN didn't have them for a long time either. "Tornado Alley" used to be kept out of TN by the mountains; but they cut a pass through the mountains to make it easier to dart into northern Alabama and ended up making TN a part of the Tornado's pathing. That actually might be what is causing them to reach MD now too; they can just follow the Valley east right on past VA and into MD = I have driven that route myself, it is an easy flat run in a car, so probably ideal for a tornado.

Thanks Burnt! I hope so too. We made it through; and even though about 300 are homeless from it right now = the deaths and injuries for the whole area were surprisingly light for the damage that was done. I actually did heare quite a bit of complaining about your weather recently from someone else, lol. (glances in Acadian's direction but doesn't mention him by name, lol).

Has anyone heard from Treydoggie? He may have been in the early path before it hit here, I was wondering if he made it okay.
