First of all, thank you all for your help in combatting the spam bots that have been hounding us mercilessly as of late.
My inbox is filled to the brim with your reports. This has helped us greatly in effectively removing spam posts, some of which were very icky.

However, these measures are no longer cutting it, and so I actually had to use my head for something other than a paper weight.

I've altered the rules on what freshly signed up users can do.

The idea is that all new users will have their posts validated by moderators,
so the spam may be posted but you will no longer see it.

If you notice anything strange, like not being able to post for some reason, please let us know ASAP.

Thank you for your attention, carry on.

I was wondering if = while this influx of bot attacks is so heavy, maybe you could block new members from joining for say 30 days - unless by invite. Then say if one of us knew someone at the Bethesda forums we wanted to invite, we could write a PM to one of our Mods here to ask for an invite to be given.

That would effectively block this high volume of them joining and attacking, and also bring the old ones hidden in our members lists out into the open to be dealt with.
