Kiln thought quickly as the mob charged him they he put his back to the soft muddy wall of the cave to prevent them from getting behind him. He had fought before but not with more than one opponent at a time.
Around him were past adventurers that had failed to make it inside to fight with the vampire, strange that there were so many, the cave was recently dug out. That wasn't important right now though, the group was in front of him now jabbing at him all at once.
He stepped on something, in a rush to pick it up he sliced at a Khajiit on the left, cutting its arm and causing it to fall down. And he grabbed what was clearly a shield and half held it using it to block the incoming blows from the right.
The second Khajiit jumped on him nocking him to the ground, they struggled and rolled on the ground, the Argonian woman he had spoken to before looking for a good time to stab Kiln.
Kiln had been waiting for this moment since he had been tackled, the moment when she decided to stab him. As she jabbed he rolled over forcing the cat to be hit by her blade in the back. The sword pertruded from his stomach and he pushed the body with his foot to avoid being stabbed through it.
When the woman realised what she had done she pulled the blade and pointed it at Kiln as he got to his feet. She didn't seem to care about anything that happened, the only thing that she cared about was killing Kiln.
Kiln looked at the wounded Khajiit on the ground, he wouldn't be interfering, he seemed too afraid to move. So Kiln prepared to fight the Argonian, she swung and cut his leg lightly but enough to cause him to limp and he jabbed at her head just missing and cutting off one of her earrings.
She cut him again in nearly the same place, much deeper this time though. He swung at her finally removing one of her fingers causing her to drop the sword, he drew back to finish her.
He looked at her for a moment and soon turned his attention to the armored Nord. The Nord looked at him with a smile and spoke to him,
"Come on lad finish them so we can get down to business."
"They are defenseless. There's no honor in killing the unarmed." Kiln replied
"Kill them, they are your enemies!" the Nord commanded
"You are my enemy as well so shall I kill you now?" Kiln said picking up the circular iron shield from the ground where he had dropped it
"It's not too late to leave you know." he said
"Is that fear in your voice warrior? Has your master told you what will happen if you fight me?" Kiln laughed at him
"Greed told me I would surely lose and has bid me to leave you be but you don't look like the one to bring me down coward." the Nord taunted
"We're about to find out now aren't we?" Kiln said getting ready for a fight he would surely regret
"I've got to do this, for Dulnea." Kiln whispered to himself as the Nord walked slowly toward him

Dang, theres way too many good fan fictions here...I try to read most of them but there are so many...they're great but when everyone updates at the same time I have to decide which one to read first.(Thats the hard part.) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You can do this...don't get cocky and stay alert." Kiln repeated to himself as the Nord came at him This would be more challenging than fighting the other servants, they weren't as strong and they didn't have any armor. Kiln was at a disadvantage, as the Nord wore a full suit of steel armor while Kiln was only protected by a chestplate and a rusty old shield. The Nord stabbed at his already wounded leg but Kiln managed to hit his blade away with his own. The brute swung from high above his head with the sword, Kiln raised the shield and took the hit. It didn't work well though, the blow hit with such strength he fell to the ground barely moving out of the way as the Nord brought his sword downward upon him. Kiln rolled and jumped to his feet. Kiln moved slowly away from the man as he followed carefully avoiding a surprise attack. He stabbed for his opponent's throat but his blade was slapped away in vain. "There's no way you'll defeat Greed fighting like this." the Nord laughed His remark made Kiln even more determined to hurt him even if it was only a minor wound, and with that he jabbed with as much strength as he could muster toward the warrior's leg, it struck and blood sprayed across Kiln's face. Kiln felt better finally drawing blood from his opponent but the relief was taken away as he swung in reprocussion, Kiln pulled the shield up and braced himself for the strength of the hit. Ready for the blow, Kiln wasn't nocked down but he was still thrown off balance. The Nord was incredibly enraged, he came at Kiln swinging from one side to another. Kiln knew what he must do, he jumped catching the ledge of the roof of one of the shacks and pulling himself up, out of reach of the angry man. "Get down from there coward." the Nord yelled "Why don't you come up here and get me." Kiln yelled taunting him The door opened and he heard rustling in the house underneath, the thin roof made of sticks was easily punctured by the sword of the berserking Nord below. Kiln jumped up and down trying to avoid being stabbed by his enemy. Kiln was afraid and he jumped to the balcony of Greed's mansion, escaping the incredibly angry man momentarily. He entered through the door and entered the well lit house. He walked up the stairs to Greed's room to fight him but instead found a note. Kiln picked it up and read the seemingly shakey handwriting of the vampire, "If you are reading this then my greatest fears have become reality, if I am to die I will do it on my terms. I hoped it wouldn't come down to this, take the key from my desk and meet me downstairs in my personal treasury. This will end there." Kiln dropped the note, and took the key from the desk. "Time to finish this, I have to keep Dulnea from vampirism." he thought to himself as he walked toward the bottom level. The last servant outside had stopped banging on the door, Kiln figured he had given up but he didn't have time to wonder, he had to kill Greed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hope you like it...if you don't...well...nevermind. Kiln played the scenario in his head, he was wounded and tired from fighting all the servants and his opponent would be strong and well rested. Kiln didn't doubt his strength nor did he doubt the advantage Greed would have.
He drew his sword and cut the air with it, feeling the weight of it as he swung. He practiced swinging it as quickly as he could, imagining the vampire moving around him trying to confuse him.
After practicing for a bit, Kiln was ready to face Greed. He limped down the stairway clothing wreathed in blood, to the huge door in the lower level. He inserted the key into the lock, and slowly turned it, sword ready.
The door let out a loud click that echoed within. Kiln slowly opened the door, the house ended at the door and a tunnel began, a very dark tunnel.
Kiln walked back upstairs and grabbed a torch, continuing deeper into the tunnels. The path to the left went to a bedroom in which only a hammock was visible and the path to the right continued deeper into the cavern.
Not wanting to waste time exploring dead ends Kiln went right, deeper into the cavern. The air grew dense and hard to breath as he continued downward. The cave grew colder and more moist the deeper he ventured in.
The end of the tunnel emerged into the final room, it was a temple sort of room fashioned like a tomb. The floor was slick at the entrance and he fell to the floor with a loud clink, dropping the torch feet away. Kiln picked up the torch and held it over the ground he fell on.
It was gold, alot of gold. It littered the ground, he held the torch higher and looked around, there had to be hundreds of thousands of drakes littering the floor of this temple. Large rock pillars held the roof in place and near one end of the room there was a torch.
Then Kiln heard him,
"I did hope it wouldn't come down to this, why did you decide to return?" Greed asked still not visible in the cave
"I have to help my friend." Kiln yelled
"By killing me? How can this possible help your friend?" Greed asked calmly
"You bit her, and you know the cure for vampirism sir." Kiln told the voice
Kiln turned slowly in circles sword drawn, looking for the vampire. Silence filled the room and the torch moved and touched the wall. A thin wall of flames went slowly around the top of the room around a ledge.
Kiln marveled at the treasure surrounding the room, blades, armor, and gold glittered in the light,
"Now do you see? Greed!" the vampire laughed walking down the stairway from his throne toward Kiln.
Kiln readied his blade, hatred burned inside of him. He stood still waiting for Greed to make the first move.

Sorry it took me so long to write this but the RP is extremely time consuming...not to mention everyday life...anyways hope you like it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He hoped the vampire was right in the fact that he would survive...though it didn't seem likely at the moment. Kiln couldn't deny that he was afraid, but he knew he must kill the fiend, or be killed.
As Greed approached him he kept careful watch of his movements. He moved side to side nearly crouched, trying to confuse Kiln. The vampire held a small dagger, a strange red glow lit the blade, enchanted no doubt.
Kiln readied the circle shield for a blow, his armor restricted fast movement at close range so he kept his distance, not to mention the short blade that could jab him if he didn't.
Kiln half crouched as Greed moved towards him with a quick jab. Kiln knew he was being tested carefully for weaknesses and did his best to hide the ones he knew about.
Greed stared into his eyes, Kiln could see the mixed emotion in the eyes of the vampire. He could see calm and at the same time he saw fear. Kiln broke eye contact and swung left toward his opponent's side, as he did so Greed jumped, placing his foot on Kiln's knee and pushed off kicking him to the ground face first.
Kiln was half way up when he was knocked back down by the vampire jumped on him trying to keep him on the ground. Kiln struggled violently as a dagger slid past his head nearly hitting him.
He rolled over on top of Greed, and grabbed the creature's hand slamming it to the floor trying to make him drop his dagger. Greed was much stronger than Kiln and threw him aside and stabbed him in the leg with the dagger.
The wound sizzled and burned, Greed held the dagger in as Kiln yelled out in pain. With his full effort Kiln managed to force the dagger from his leg and punch Greed in the face. Kiln kept hold of the dagger and readied slouched forward looking at the tomb's floor.
Blood flowed freely from Kiln's leg as he sat there on his knees. He looked up at Greed who had grabbed his longsword upon losing the dagger.
"You have lost adventurer...I must say I'm quite surprised...I was sure you would live." Greed said surprised
Greed stepped forward and jabbed the blade into Kiln's stomach. Kiln pulled Greed closer and stabbed the dagger into the side of his neck sending blood spraying across the nearby gold.
Kiln watched in satisfaction as the vampire fell backwards with the dagger still in his neck the flame enchantment sizzling all the while.
He looked down and pulled the blade from his gut, quickly covering it with his hands to slow the bleeding. Soon he fell backwards staring at the roof of the building,
At least Dulnea's infection would be stopped...even if it was Kiln's time to die, blood flowed through his fingers as Kiln lied on the floor. His strength was fading he was losing too much blood.
"So this is how it ends." Kiln said to himself

Echoes came from the tunnelway, Kiln looked towards the dark entrance. He didn't move to see who it was, he wasn't strong enough to sit up so he lied there waiting for the person.
Kiln figured it was the angry Nord outside, but he knew it wasn't when he heard a voice,
"Come on, hurry up!"
Kiln was relieved at the voice of what seemed to be a woman but rather than try to yell he just listened, there was another voice,
"I'm hurrying woman!" the male said
"Hurry faster, he could be in trouble." she replied
"You want to carry this equipment woman?" he said
Silence followed, fearing they had taken a wrong turn Kiln tried to yell but his voice had been replaced by a gruesome gurgling sound. Using what strength he had left he rolled to his side and spat the blood from his mouth.
"Help! I'm here..." Kiln yelled between coughs
"Hurry! This way." the woman yelled
The sound of footsteps became louder and more frequent. Soon two people emerged from the tunnel, one tall human, in imperial armor and the woman he had saved at the Council Club.
Kiln knew the man was called York, he had met him in the prison by some strange twist of fate. He didn't know the girl's name though.
He lied still as the woman cut a lage piece of cloth from one of her pantlegs and held it over the wound.
"You'll be fine Kiln, it takes more to kill a man." York said
"I've seen men die from less." Kiln said still afraid, he was cold now and starting to shiver ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know it's mostly chit chat but oh well...
