Megil refrained from participating in the conversation until everyone began to get emotional about it. he stood up,
"Niran has a good point, the sword should go to one who will not use it. though it is the type of powerful artifact that we need to defeat arkyatc, it is best that until that battle it remains in the hands of one who is least likely to use it.
Celia, though a good candidate, may not be the best to carry such a weapon for she is still young. That leaves only one person whom I can think of that would never kill a soul unless some great wrong had been done, and that is Serene. She to me is the most worthy candidate of the weapon. She is a honoured member of this tribe and as such seems to be the most worthy to bear it, as I'm sure many of the ashlanders would agree."
with that megil stepped back,
"w=Either we decide who gets it Or we destroy it"

I bet that she'll hand it to her pet warrior, even while he doesn't need any material swords and is unstoppable regardless of what he's using. I hate favoritism.
anthanes thoughts got right into her heart, like a sharpened dagger......
Then Megil´s kind words came through..she smiled between tears.....
"Ok, I know Anthanes still hates me, you young ones are far to inexperienced for this weapon, Megil doesn´t want it, Celia is too small and would probably not even have it..so I´ll do as Megil suggests..I´ll keep it....until Joonacin comes back....
She looked around, Jonacin was apparently not present.....she didn´t notice when he left but maybe he was out somewhere, maybe he couldn´t stand the athmosphere
She lowered the sword, and turned to Sinnamu Mirpal and Sedrane..
"Honoured friends she said...do you approve?
they nodded and Serene sheathed the glowing sword....
OOC: Pet warrior! hilarious expression!!

Niran was disgusted with Serene You already use your own abilities for torture, what the hell do you plan on doing with that! He thought angrily. He glared at Serene for a second or two, before turning and looking at the wall, he's have to find some way to get that sword and dispose of it, before it causes terrible damage. Then he turned to Megil Damn you, interfering dunmer!(OOC: At least he means well. Megil can read his thoughts as well, can't he?) This post has been edited by gamer10: Jul 20 2005, 10:50 PM

OOC: Unlike Serene, Megil doesn't suffer from such extreme telepathy. his is voluntary and as can be seen when he tried to help anthanes remember whom everyone was, it is much weaker than serene's. So he did not hear Niran's thought, because he was simply not using his telepathic skills.
IC:
Megil was satisfied with the decision Serene had made, but he could not understand why she was crying. He also wondered where Jonacin had gone off to, he didn't seem to be the type to leave Serene in such a difficult position. So Megil sat down and leaned against the wall, he closed his eyes in hopes of getting some rest.

Seeing Serene cry nearly shattered Celia's heart, for Serene was a strong role-model who Celia looked up to. In fact, Celia had always admired Serene's bravery and caring nature to the point of wanting to be like her. Serene was like a big sister to her...
Celia could not bear Serene's sadness, so she ran over to Serene, wrapping her arms around Serene's shoulders.
"Oh, Serene, please do not cry!" She shook Serene softly. "We will get rid of it, like Fenris said, if no one is going to use it, I promise! So, pull yourself together!" Celia did not notice but her hands started glowing again that unusual glow for a moment, then faded again as Celia stood up.
Celia pleaded softly, "Serene, please, you are not thinking properly. You must rest for a bit."

Megil opened his eyes and turned to Fenris,
"It is not that the sword will not be used, but it should not be used until it is needed. Perhaps you fail to understand how dangerous of a weapon it is,"
Megil then stood up and walked across the room to Serene.
"Serene if I may," he said stretching his hands towards the sword.
Serene agreed and let him take the sword, Megil drew the sword from its sheath and examined the icy appearance of its surface.
"As has been said apart from being almost godly, the weapon has a curse, let me show you first the power of the sword before telling you of the curse."
Megil walked up to a pillar in the room and scratched its surface with the sword. Immediatly condensation began to form on its surfaces and that soon iced over.
"See this sword does need not make a mortal wound to kill someone, this pillar here will be frozen for all eternity, to its core. That is what makes this sword so powerful and why we must keep it to fight arcyatk. The curse is that when used on a living thing the user will suffer the pain of remorse and mourning, only it will be multiplied to the point that if the person is not able to control it, they will be killed by the magic. As such I do not think this weapon should be used until that decisive battle"
Megil returned the sword to it's sheath and returned it to serene
