The lightning simply bounced off the snakes scales.
Megil walked up to anthanes, "do you need some help" The snake lunged for Anthanes, but megil stood in front of him and had his bow ready with arrow knocked. as it neared Megil let the arrow go, sending it through the beasts eye. It relled back and let out a screech. It then begun to flail around before lying dead on the beach. Satisfied that the man was asleep Megil walked up to the corpse, it gently lifted its head and looked at Megil. he layed a hand on its snout and it became water and sank into the sand.
