OOC: about time.
IC: Megil woke up to the sound of seagulls and the morning sun. he stood up and began to remove the sand from his clothing. He picked up his bow and strapped it to his back, then began to search the island for driftwood to get a fire started for breakfast.
About an hour later he had walked around the island and was carrying a stack of driftwood. He approached the door to the shrine and set the wood down as he watched Otik swing at the ice surrounding Niran.
"Ah, good to see someone else is awake, we can get breakfast started then. Oh and don't worry about him, we can figure out what to do with him after breakfast, besides with your hacking you may end up cutting into his frozen flesh."

Otik jumped to his feet. "dang it I knew I should have stayed for the party" he chucled. He started to run twards the front door and then remembered that He had no idea to get out. the he remembered that stone Megil tossed at the front door . he consintrated on it for a little and then he found his way out "feeling" for the rock. When he got to the front door all he saw Niran covered in Ice and no-one else to be seen. Otik ran up to Niran and started hacking at the ice with his dagger. *if I missed someone my bad (OOC: I thought the weapon turns the thing it hits to ice, not freezes it, do you want to kill him!??)

"Ah good morning Anthanes"he said seeing the battlemage stretching.
Megil was just setting up stones around the fire pit when Anthanes made the comment about Niran,
"Well of course it's not good, the man managed to cut himself with that horrible blade, as far as I'm concerned he deserved it for his stupidity."
Megil watched the battlemage examine Niran,
"there's nothing we can do at the moment, if you want you can kindle the fire for us, and do something productive instead of staring at that frozen statue"

"Give it a rest, man. I doubt any spell in that head of yours can shatter that enchanment, If anything you will probably make things worst by breaking him or something."
Megil said he continued to prepare the fire pit, by laying the wood out, he then turned back to Anthanes,
"We are all worried, but I find that it is usually better to think on a full stomach."

Jonacin had wandered around the shrine for some time before settling down in a secluded alcove to sleep. When he woke the next morning, he resigned himself to the fact that he was never going to find Serene on his own in the mazelike shrine, so he went back out onto the beach to see Celia and Anthanes standing around the ice statue that had been Niran, and Otik and Megil trying to light a fire. OOC: He's still carrying the sword, and [deity] help anyone who tries to take it off him This post has been edited by LoneWolf: Jul 22 2005, 12:38 AM

Anthanes nodded to Celia, deep wrinkles of thought surrounding his eyes.
"Hmm, well, first of all we need to heighten his resistance to frost. Then we are going to need a very powerfull dispelling spell, and most likely a health-restoring spell immediately after that. I can only provide the dispelling, I fear, and even then it might not be powerful enough."

Megil stood up from the firepit, which he had lit with a minor spell and went over to Anthanes and Celia,
"and without bursting you bubble, immunities and resistances cast upon their objects are preventativ measures. a frost resistance spell cast on ice will not make the ice melt, just protect it from further frost damage. Also he was touched by an enchanted item, and is himself not enchanted therefore I see no point in a dispelsion spell. It would take a god to bring this man back to our world"
Megil sneered, "Pity Stendarr showed him no mercy and prevented the incident"

Celia frowned. "You mean there's no other way Niran can be cured?" Immediately, she felt sorry for Niran, especially in his situation. But, she was also confused.
Why didn't Stendarr help Niran prevent this? Was he really merciful doing this to Niran?
She stepped slowly forward, biting her lip, trying to not cry for Niran. Poor, poor Niran... No one deserves to be frozen like this.
She tentatively touched a hand onto his shoulder, her heart almost breaking. He could never explore nor fight ever again...
Her eyes as well as her hands started glowing a soft blue color as tears fell down her cheeks. "Niran..." she whispered softly, but her kind voice was altered to that of an older woman.

Anthanes sighed. "Wrong. Very wrong. Hmm...Be right back."
Anthanes ran off into the ruin, returning a few minutes later carrying a heavy chest. Dropping it on the ground, he opened it to reveal a great many scrolls.
"I'm sure there's something in there that'll help. I've been hording these ever since I found out I could cast spells...That was, what, seventeen years ago? Anyway."
Anthanes dug his nose into the chest, muttering things that would prolably make sense to someone who has devoted their life to the arts of magic.

Megil watched as Anthanes went into the ruins and carrier out a chest.
"Where, in the bloody hell did you get that thing," he asked. while Anthanes mumbled, and dug into his chest Megil turned to watch Celia who was beginning to do strange things. Megil just stood and watched as celia's eyes and hands began to glow.
"uh, anthanes have you any idea what she's doing"
ah crap -_- so did not mean to do that .
