DOS gaming Options

DOS games are great so here's a topic about it!

I admit; I made this topic mainly to get some help getting them to work on more modern computers like Windows XP and 7. I'm a bit tech savvy in general but not so much with DOSBox. The only reason I've played Arena is that the game came with the DOSBox already configured so I didn't need to do anything manually. Just plug and play.


Any and all help with this would be greatly appreciated! I don't know if there's a generic configuration that works with most DOS games or there's a site that has a load of games with pre-configured DOSBoxes (like Arena and Daggerfall) but it would be awesome if that was the case. My own searches have come up short.


To end this OP I'll list my favourite DOS games from the good ole days. Feel free to add your own!

Raptor: Call of the Shadows
Mortal Kombat 3
Wolfenstein 3D
Red Baron

Only DOS games I've played were:
Doom.
Wolfenstein 3D.
The Elder Scrolls Arena.
and Daggerfall.

Most other PC games I've play have been click and play with no need for DOS.

I remember those titles. I didn't play them though. Spent the 90's with Master of Magic, Might and Magic V, VI & VII, Hexen, and of course Daggerfall. Daggerfall and Master of Magic got the most replay time.

I know of Hexen but never played it or any of the other games you mentioned. Conversely, it seems that no one else on Earth but me have played CyClones
