I suggest you talk to Mecios in the Black Moons cabin in Blackhorn Town, ask him to tell you about being a pirate.
Also you can buy the "Guide to being a Pirate" from the trader in Blackhorn. Also for general quests REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR JOURNAL!

GENERAL HELP: -
1. Getting to the islands:
Simply sleep in a bed anywhere and the missions start. You will find an item called "Map to Blackhorn Town" in with your gear, by dropping this map then picking it back up again you will be able to travel to Blackhorn from Tamriel. To get back simply talk to one
of the dock managers that offer travel, and they will take you back to Anvil.
2. Getting a ship:
The only ship on offer is the Black Moon at BlackHorn Town. Talk to Mecios inside the Black Moons Cabin to purchase the ship.
3. Hiring a crew:
To hire a crew head over to the Bilge Monkey in Blackhorn town, down the bottom you will find people to hire, when you leave and come back there
will be more to hire.
4. Hiring a first mate:
There is 3 first mates too acquire, they are located in Blackhorn town. Try talking to people...
5.Looting:
To loot you need a crew of at least 6 and a first mate talk to your first mate and he will ask if you want to go looting!
You need to defeat the enemy crew, then MAKE SURE YOU GET THE CARGO MANIFEST from the cabin, this details what is onboard. You take the
cargo manifest to Heldokti in Blackhorn, and she will buy the goods off you.
6. The Hideout:
THe hideout becomes available when you have a pirate rating of 10 or more. TO increase your pirate rating go looting!
7. Hideout Upgrades -
The hireable people for your hideout are Askaria and Seej-nar. Askaria spends her nights at Fire-eye toms, and Seej-nar is staying in the yakudran descent. All other upgrades are done through jimmy. (If you can't hire seej nar yet, go hire askaria then try to hire seejnar.
8. Checking my pirate rating:
Theres a book in the cabin called the Pirate Journal, activating this book will dsiplay your rating and the number of crew members you have.
9. Can't get out of the shipwreck?
Theres ladders between each level, you need to get your equipment from the chest in the cabin before you can leave from through the hole in the side of the ship on the middle level, its the one with the sand pouring through the bottom of the hole and the lightbeams coming out. If you check your quest journal it gives you hints at all these things.


SPOILERS: -
1. Wheres the Vintage rum:
Medilo Dratha in the Yakudran Descent sells it. You can also find it in the bottom of the counts house. Sitting on a shelf in the basement.
2. Wheres the Treasure map hidden on the ship?
I'm not telling, but trust me its there I'll give you this hint, you are looking for a small lever...

I have the Treasure map but you cant use it the beta

well at least you will be one step ahead of the people who got the final version and didn find the map

lol i found the map after searching every tiny crack using a torch, its soooo easy to find if you dont start in the crew quarters and work down

When you are about yo hire the smith and he says that if you get him his hammer he will be your smith. is it a warhammer or a repair hammer and wich floor is it on?

it called ''stolen hammer of your smith'' prety hard to miss and for the location there not a lot of room in what he told you it was hiden , i would probobly ruin the surpise to tell you , but i can tell you this it with a oars!

That key and map everybody is talking about do i found it in the black moon or the shipwreck i start in?

well i should be able to give you more info to that question becose if i remeber correcly darksoul have alerdy anser it so i will in quote : << it in the ship you have gain from the capitaine who have retired>> and also << look for a small switch >> i cant tell you in witch place in the ship it hide am only aloud to give you those info.

Hmmmm....... Jimmy Swit disapeared from my hideout after i got my shipwrigth (Askeria)
And when will the full version come
The beta mod is fantastic but when u let us download the updates u done like eyepatch and those things or
do we need to wait to full version? ?

i got the hideout, i got all the hideout upgrades, (execpt the brewery of course) i got the 2 pirate captain who joined my crew, is there anything else i can get in the BETA?

I got a first mate and went on 1 trip but now i cant seem to find her, would be nice if you could tie the first mate to your ship so he/she doesnt wander. is there a way i can summon her or sometin using the console cause ive looked all over blackthorn and cant find her

ok so im at ratin: 9 and i cant get to 10 because i come in contact with navy ships now and i cant find the cargo manifest if there is one. how do i get to 10???

iv got a rating of 100 , navy ship dont have cargo manifest , kill the navy loot there corpse and try again.

i love this mod, what means this "Treasure"?

I'm not sure what's happened to Dark Soul, he disappeared a few years ago now, I hope he's ok!!?? I'm not sure if there is any way to download the newest version of the Pirate Isles. I have emailed him in the hope that he may respond, but I hold no illusions that he will. The only version available to my knowledge is the beta (Version 0.7). In my email I have asked for permission to work on it myself, I suppose if I get no response I'll go ahead and work on it anyway, and try to keep to the guidelines that he has set in his update reports (as well as a few of my own things obviously). If and when I'm finished I'll post the files on Tes Nexus and include the original readme from Dark Soul and give credit to him for his fine work. Come back Dark Soul, you are sorely missed. Untill then I'll give this a go myself.

I can not seen to find the "slave" trader. I read the Captain's Log after I was kidnapped. I have been all over and around Anvil looking for Daeglin. I can not find him anywhere. Or is there a different person I need to locate to sell my captive? Any help/location/name would be great. And thank you.

Never mind I found them. funny thing is I talked to the slave trader before and had not option to discuss the topic (even tho I had a captive).
