Many bands sang it The Dubliners(traditional Irish band, I'd defiantly suggest a listen, also the Pogues where on the song so why not listen!!), Thin Lizzy(Irish as well), Grateful Dead(awesome!) and Metallica.

There's some more variations of the song but they are the most famous ones.
