*sighs*

Reading those MechWarrior books has got me wanting to play that style of game. And my options on that front are pretty limited sad.gif
mirocu
I still have Mercenaries - quite a good game me and my buddy used to play a lot in the days. We also played a helicopter style game but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was. Iīm pretty sure it was a DOS game though I might be wrong.
Callidus Thorn
I've actually got a couple of semi-old Mechassault games; one for the xbox the other for the DS. But the controls for the DS one are pretty awkward, and the xbox one has to suffer under the 360's awful excuse for backwards compatability sad.gif
SubRosa
I have Mechwarrior 2, Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries, and Ghost Bears Legacy. I was able to get the first two working on my Windows 7 Box thanks to MechVM. They are still a lot of fun.
mirocu
I have my Windows Millenium to play Mercenaries on, among a bunch of other old games. Oh, and everyone here will be pleased to know that my old Compaq with Windows 3.1 still works fine! biggrin.gif
Callidus Thorn
Hmm, seems I might have to look into getting some of the older games then.
mirocu
I donīt have a WiiU but if I did Iīd love the NES Remix where you can do challenges in the old games! happy.gif

Decided to create a Khajiit Spellsword for Oblivion, since I've not played a Khajiit before.

Used the Tamriel Rebuilt name generator(as per usual) to find a name for my character. So I select Khajiit, male, 20 names.

5 of them were Dro'Baad rollinglaugh.gif

How about a non-traditional Khajiit name, like Sir Purs-a-lot or Mr. Meowie?

No, wait. Those names are for Renee biggrin.gif

I'll bet that caused a lot of hooting in the theaters (back then) when her name was first announced, laugh.gif

It is the embodiment of a pun in itself, lol.

But yeah, thatīs anyway my suggestion for a female Khajiit tongue.gif
Callidus Thorn
Urgh.

I hate trawling through Amazon looking for Sci-Fi and fantasy books for my Kindle. Half the books are in both categories, for some absurd reason or other sad.gif
mirocu
I got bored with sci-fi after they stopped broadcasting Stargate: Atlantis. It was fun and all, but too much of the same old since the sci-fi genre was invented 732 years ago wacko.gif

Callidus Thorn
I'll never get bored of Sci-Fi. Or fantasy.
mirocu
Fantasy I like much better. I think I donīt like sci-fi anymore because I may have been damaged by all the friggin techno-babble tongue.gif
Callidus Thorn
I kinda like the techno-babble.

Then again, I was basically raised on Star Trek, so that's kind of a given laugh.gif

When I think of Sci-Fi fantasy writing, all I can think of is that stupid story of "Rom" the vacuum cleaner that fell in love with a housewife and sent himself to her; then proceeded to attempt to seduce her; until she realized what he was up to and pulled its plug from the outlet ... or some such thing, lol. And yes, techno babble galore. I can't remember what they called his extending tentacles/attachments, urk. Anyway, it "turned me off" Sci-Fi for a long time, lol. (pun intended).

Can't you just make a copy of the spare? Key copies are like one dollar here.

You can copy a regular key here, but not car keys. Thatīs a whole other level of security and cost. Besides, I also need the transponder and you canīt copy that in 2 minutes wink.gif

Actually I need neither a new key nor transponder, they both still work fine. What I do need however is the latch which connects the key to the transponder. Thatīs the thing that broke off due to frozen lock and not to mention, pathetically weak design wacko.gif

Oh, well the car dealer of that make of car should be able to replace it for not too much. Mine had a computer chip in it and it didn't cost too much (I think around 25.00 US dollars). Plus they sold me a nice jacket with their racing logo on it (the late Dale Earnhardt #3's jacket) for around half what it would be in a store or at the track, laugh.gif

Wow, the exchange rate must be way low compared to the dollar! Like the Peso or something? The lowest exchange I ever actually dealt with was the Belgium Franc (which became obsolete @ 2002) which was about 36 Francs to every one US Dollar - actually, I think your exchange rate is better than that. Do you use Euro or not?

No, I got iced inside my holler for the last week. Able to get out now, and going to the hardware store to get whatever tools I need to break the rusted bolts off the toilet seats. I bought new seats, but haven't been able to change them out because the old bolts are rusted on. (urk) .

Rusted? Every one I've seen either uses brass fittings or else plastic nuts, so they don't do that. Was this a DIY job by the previous owner using anything he had to hand?

The house was built +30 years ago, and these appear to be the original bolts/toilet seats and toilets from back then = -still high flow flushing! (so I'm wanting to hang onto those old toilets, but exchange out the seats for new ones/throw out the old seats) .

Not sure what metal the bolts are made from, but they are rusted all to heck.

Went a bit nuts foraging for ebooks on Amazon yesterday. Ended up buying 10 (14, if you count the two that are trilogy omnibuses) from the sci-fi and fantasy sections.

So I shouldn't run out of books to read for a while biggrin.gif

What can I say? Reading through a book on a pad is just too Star Trek for me to resist laugh.gif

And of course, it solves the problem of; "Where do I put this 1,000 page book now that I'm not reading it?" rollinglaugh.gif

Seriously, I've got too many books that I've read and not enough space.
