It really sucks to have back pain. I had it once a couple of months after losing my job. I reckon it was a combination of sudden inactivity and many hours gaming while sitting in bad positions. Suddenly my back hurt like "#% and nothing I did could relieve it. It went away after a few hours and I have not had it since thank the lords but man, it was terrible.

You have my support sympathies cake.gif

Well, I sīpose my support as well when I think about it.

Bless your heart, Thorney! I'm so sorry you are in pain sad.gif

Thanks guys Hug_emoticon.gif

My back's feeling somewhat better today; doesn't hurt as much, and I'm able to move easier, so it looks like my guess is accurate. Still being really careful though. Really don't want to make this worse

Iīm not a Lopov doctor but Iīd say regular walks can improve on blood flow through the body which in turn can help prevent muscle pain.

In any case Iīd say regular walks is generally good for you laugh.gif

I take an hour or so walk every day, and I walk at a pretty fast speed. Unfortunately I couldn't yesterday due to high winds(which I figure are bad to walk in with a bad back), and today I was running scans on my laptop and defragging it, so I was basically babysitting it all day sad.gif

Yeah, I thought you did that. I also take a walk every day, or at least Iīm thinking about doing it hehe.gif

When you sleep, sleep on your side with a pillow under your arm that is over your body; and a pillow between your knees. That makes your spine stay straight while you sleep, so nothing is pulling against it. It eases back pain by keeping you from putting stress on it till it is healed.

Also, when you get up from sleeping; roll so your feet go off the bed first, then sit up; rise out of bed from a sitting position facing out - less strain on your back that way too.

I was in a car accident decades ago that really hurt my spine, had to do these things till it healed. Now I've got no issues and can get up and down as I please, but every now and then if I lift something wrong, have to do it again for a while.

My dogs that I raise are called "Hog Dogs" because they are trained to hunt wild boar and corner them until their master gets there to shoot the hog. They have to wear vests so the hogs don't gore them.

It is instincts and breeding. With these dogs, with their ancestry and bloodlines, hunting in packs to corner and bring down big prey is innate. They work as a team to surround and corner (working as a team to steer the animal into a corner where it can't move in any direction).

The training comes in making sure they stop their instincts there, and don't attack the animal once it is penned in a corner - just contain it.

My problem is that in storms when the dogs are inside - they try to toy with the cat by cornering it. And the cat tries to taunt them into it, because the cat knows the dogs will get in trouble if caught and thrown back out into the storm. He deliberately walks through the room in wide circles around the dogs swishing his tail wildly and meowing loudly. So every time there is a storm, I have a dog/cat issue to stand watch over and stop the trouble before it starts (and before the cat finds out the hard way that there might be two ways this could end).

(Of course, you have to have a pillow under your head too, or your spine would be bent at the neck). But when your spine is perfectly straight when you sleep, it takes a whole lot of strain off it. They (the doctors for back injuries) tell you also to sleep on your left side so your circulation is better while you sleep (no pinching or scrunching of the major artery that goes down the right side of your body).

He is a very devious cat, and thinks the dogs are some kind of sport to see how much trouble he can get them into. At one point he made a pact with the oldest dog (the one that died last summer) to get rid of the new puppy, and they both used to sit staring/glaring at the puppy's pen and plotting. But then the older dog found out it was a female and smelled good to him; and he defected on the pact with the cat. But the cat has continued waging the war alone against that pup and the next one (my Boo Boo). He learns quickly what they get yelled at for and causes them to do it whenever possible.

He is worse than Garfield, more like Heathcliff. He is the same cat that gets all bushed out if he sees me wearing a dress if he is used to seeing me in pants; or gets bushed out if my husband goes into my son's room and gets on his computer - the cat knows he is not supposed to be there and will get in front of him with his fur all bushed out.

This cat also runs in front of you as you are walking and stops dead to trip you and get your attention; then tries to steer/lead you into either the bathroom (because he loves drinking water from the faucet in the bathtub); or to the cupboard where his cat treats are kept - whichever he can get you to follow him to.

AND - if you go to use the bathroom for your own sake and shut the door; he has learned how to open the door using his paws on the knob and bumping the door with his big biscuit head - opens the door while you are in there using the bathroom! And leaves the door open while he makes his way to the bathrub and then looks at you and meows till you turn the faucet on for him!

And it is not like you can get up and shut the door at that point; all you can do is hope no one walks by! The door used to lock, but the lock mysteriously broke on it, and I'm not really sure he didn't have something to do with that, lol.
